Not having had Indian cuisine for quite some time we were all excited to give this place a try. We ordered take away, lamb biryani (very hot), chicken tikka masala (mild), aloo gobi (medium), and garlic naan. The gentleman taking the order over the phone was great. The men working when we arrived were equally welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant dining room is clean and pretty spacious. On to the food itself... the biryani was OFF THE HOOK! Delicious! The tikka masala was good. The aloo gobi was pretty good. And the naan was good as well. They provided complimentary rice pudding for us, which I thought was a nice touch. I will definitely be back for more biryani, maybe I'll try the goat on the next visit. read more

Was very excited to try Indian Grill for the first time yesterday. I did a to go order as I was having family over for dinner. The staff and restaurant were great. They have a great selection of food in their menu. I ordered all of my favorite Indian dishes. As my husband and I waited for our order the stuff gave us a free mango lassi for each to try. It was delicious and will definitely order next time. Reason for my three stars review is due to the amount of protein given for each dish ordered. Mostly all sauce and hardly any protein. Very disappointed as it was not enough to feed everyone. Spent a lot of $$$ for sauce, rice and veggie. The flavors of each dish were amazing and exactly what I expected. Sauce was delicious over rice. Which was the only thing we had plenty of and what we ate mostly. Not sure if I'll go again as it's pricey for no protein. read more

The first time I have ever left an Indian restaurant not full and no take out boxes. Clean and open inside. Menu stated in the bottom that 18% would be automatically added to the check which I thought first was aggressive for a party of two and considering the prices for the meals. The portions of meat for the prices charged did not match up. I'm coining a new phrase "cloth napkin prices with paper napkin meal" it did not help there were huge butcher block paper covering the tables and paper napkins. The saag was flavorful but was a bit greasy and did not appear to have as much spinach as I've had it before. Perhaps they make it different. Desert was especially sad, the ice cream was more like pistachio ice and was solid....pretty much inedible. The servers were very pleasant but doubtful we will return. read more

We had the BEST birthday party today at the Indian Grill. One of our sweet friends turned 80! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. They allowed us to bring in a cake for a sweet finish. Indian food was a first for almost everyone but ended with all wanting to return for more. It's a spot that might get overlooked. We love Indian cuisine and like to seek out spots for our next "go to" We had a great experience here. They don't serve alcohol but you can bring your own. Starting with the appetizers. We had veggie samosas, chicken samosas. Kebab. Onion bhaji. I had the Lamb vindaloo. My forever date had her chicken tikka masala. Our other guests had several different dishes I will try and label. As much as I like Indian I should know by now. The naan bread is amazing too. Don't let the outside fool you. Truly disappointing. My girlfriend had been dying to go here for awhile and then we find the worst Indian food we've ever eaten. Servings were child size. I'm not a huge eater and normally take leftovers home from an Indian restaurant, but there is no need for boxes at the Indian Grill, and don't expect to fill up. I had chicken masala and the chicken must have been cubed off of a loaf. Weird is all I can say, and tasteless. My girlfriend had the vegetables madras and she is tiny, but could have eaten more. The place was almost empty on a Saturday night, which should have told us something, I guess. Anyway, at least we know where not to go for Indian food now. No pictures. Too disappointed to take any. Prices were also very high. Two small dinners cost $50.00. Way too much for what you get. read more

Absolutely deserving of 5 stars! I'm particular about authentic-styled food, have a love of Indian Cuisine (having been there several times). This was my first time at Indian Grill, and will not be my last. This is authentic, clay pot prepared meals with wonderful full flavor seasonings, served on actual dinnerware/flatware/real glasses. This is not a buffet or pre-prepared foods sitting under a warmer. The cuisine was nothing short of fantastic, and the staff was exceptionally pleasant. Don't let the outside fool ya (being in a strip mall area). The inside is clean and inviting, very spacious, smells wonderful. You will not be disappointed. My family and I came in for lunch and it was wonderful! Not very busy, but the food was excellent. I had lamb masala and the meat was very tender and the seasoning and sauce were great. I've been to several Indian restaurants all around the country and the food here is comparable to any of the best I've been to. After our meal our server brought us all a complementary dessert and it was the perfect way to wrap up our time here. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were very attentive and helpful. This is going to be a biased review because of where I was originally from. In VA when you order an Indian dish it includes rice, chicken peas and naan bread. Not this place. We had the goat Karahi and special curry lamb with a side order of garlic naan. All that with tax plus tip came out to be $55. Not an average night dinner. Food was excellent once it came. Just a bit pricey. Service was average. Lots of tables. Not a lot of parking though. Will try again but will do takeout next time read more

The chicken tikka masala was heading in the right direction but, everything needed a lot of salt. The biryani tasted like white rice with a dash of aromatics. 2 stars for the garlic naan which was good, but everything else was pretty flavorless, which is surprising for an Indian restaurant. Came in on a Monday night to meet a friend for dinner, and the restaurant was completely empty (which should have been a sign) with the exception of a few staff members. I got there earlier and ordered garlic naan, a side of tikka masala sauce, and some vegetable samosas for the table. This whole bowl of tikka sauce came out and it looked like it was going to taste great, but it fell so so short. The sauce had no flavor other than that of a sweet potato purée, completely devoid of Indian spices, tasted like baby food. So having tried the tikka masala sauce we both decided we were ordering the butter chicken instead for our entrees. Tell me why the exact same looking sauce came out for the butter chicken? I didn't realize butter chicken and chicken tikka masala had the exact same sauce? We both were googling it and found out they were not the same flavor profiles so we were very confused. Did the waitress bring us more tikka masala or did she bring butter chicken? Either way, the sauce ruined it, it wasn't flavorful and the chicken pieces were barely there, cut like it was the last of the chicken rations for the entire evening. Needless to say, my friend didn't even touch her meal when she found out it was the same sauce as the appetizer round. This is the first time I've not liked chicken tikka masala so that's saying something, when it's a very classic and popular Indian dish and that isn't even right. We tried them for the first time today and were not disappointed! The service was attentive without being intrusive. The food was flavorful and plentiful. We ordered the vegetable samosas for an appetizer. They were fried to perfection, not the least bit greasy, and the sauces that came with were amazing. For our entrees we had palack paneer and vegetable curry, both came with rice, and we added an order of garlic naan. We found everything seasoned perfectly and delicious. We ordered Door Dash. They were great- prompt with service. We ordered two different vindaloos, paneer and prawn. Vindaloo is supposed to spicy, like really spicy. This was devoid of not only spice, but any flavor at all. It was watery red broth. It had one chunk of potato and a decent amount of prawns. But again no flavor at all. The naan we got was undercooked. Channa Masala...again no flavored, watery broth. The only decent dish was a side of pillau rice with ground lamb. The rest was small portions of food floating in water and undercooked bread. I've eaten some bad Indian before but I can say at least they put something (seasoning, actual food) in the dish. Indian Grill is amazing!!!! I had eaten at the restaurant before it moved to the current location and loved it. And a couple of days ago visited the new location and the food quality has not dipped one bit. The chicken biryani is fantastic. The korma is really good. The chicken curry is tasty, and I'm not usually a fan of curry. My favorite dish is the vindaloo. And they have the best naan in town. I can't say enough positive things about Indian Grill. My boyfriend was out of town on a work trip so I decided to treat myself to take out since he isn't a fan of Indian cuisine. The butter chicken was packed with flavor and so tender, no chewy pieces to be found. The garlic naan was phenomenal, I should have ordered more! It was delicious dipped in the butter chicken sauce. The vegetable samosas were huge, perfectly fried and crispy. The filling was flavorful and had the perfect consistency. I dipped it in the green sauce they provided, not sure what it was, but it was sweet. Very good. The lady at the counter who checked me out was super pleasant!
