We came in because the reviews were good, but our experience was extremely disappointing. We stood at the entrance waiting to be seated until someone finally shouted at us to just sit wherever -- an appropriate start, given it was nearly impossible to tell who was staff and who was a customer, since no one wore anything remotely identifiable. We placed our order, and our server disappeared entirely. No check-ins, no updates, nothing. We then watched tables that ordered after us get served before us. By the time we finally flagged someone down to ask about our food, we'd been at the restaurant for close to an hour and a half....and had placed our order a full hour before that. We were asked if we'd even placed an order... a ridiculous question, given we'd been sitting there the entire time with drinks already in front of us. Only then did they admit our order had never actually been sent to the kitchen! No one came back to apologize, explain, or make it right. Apparently accountability isn't part of the operation here. We got up and left -- frustrated and hungry, as you can imagine. I've genuinely never experienced service this bad. I obviously can't speak to the food, but if the service and management are any indication, I wouldn't hold my breath Zero stars. We won't be back, and we'd think twice before trusting the reviews that brought us in. read more

I just found about Tandoor not too long ago and decided to try takeout from them. The big decision was what to order. I had thought about the butter chicken or the chicken tikka masala. At the last second I decided on the chicken vindaloo. I put in the order and drove to pick up my food. When I arrived there were a few people dining in and some people waiting to pick up their orders. I could tell they were busy because it took a minute for someone to come out the back to greet me. That was not a problem I understood that it was busy. I didn't have to wait too long for my food. When I got home I was really hungry. When I opened my food containers I was welcomed with the lovely aroma of spices. I ordered some butter naan with my chicken vindaloo. I didn't taste much butter but the naan was good nonetheless. The chicken vindaloo was superb. I know Indian cuisine can be very spicy and while the vindaloo was spicy it was really flavorful. I don't remember the last time I had chicken vindaloo but it was easily some of the best I've had. I definitely recommend it if you love chicken vindaloo. read more

Today's offerings were hot naan, biriyani chicken, chili chicken, butter chicken, fried cabbage, white rice, saag paneer (loaded with chewy squares of paneer cheese), tandoori chicken, onion pakora, a noodle dish that resembled spaghetti, chopped lettuce, sliced red onion, sliced carrots, lemon and lime wedges and a refreshing chunky raita. Excellent take out! The food was freshly prepared and hot when we got it home. We loved the goat biryani and saag paneer - just the right level of spice. The naans and roti were delicious and perfectly elastic. We tried hara bhara for the first time and loved it. Absolutely delightful. Shahi paneer, eggplant dahl, vegetable pakora, biriyani, tikka masala, chili chicken, tandoori chicken, and 3 or 4 other dishes I can't remember. Plus the usual naan, rice, raita, and mint and tamarind sauces. Medium spicy and delicious. A little too hot for my friend, but adding raita was all he needed to take care of that. Golly - this place is amazing! If there was a way to give more than 5 stars I would. From the moment you walk in the door the spices greet you. We ordered Buttered and Garlic Naan, Tandoori Chicken, and Chicken Tikka Masala - all of it was out of this world. The tandoori chicken was tender and bursting with flavors. It was so good I used the naan to sop up every bit the juices left behind. The masala was equally delicious. The chicken had a flavor all its own, and the sauce was phenomenal. Everything came out piping hot and freshly prepared. I don't know what kind of sweet tea they serve, but it is not yo mammas sweet tea. It's a citrusy, sweet delight. We were the ONLY customers in the joint (was early afternoon) and yet, several times, we had to get up to ask for anything from the three staff members who were chatting each other up or looking at their phones. On top of that, the lowest tip amount you could leave on their little hand-held card reader was 15%. Whatever happened to the days when a tip wasn't automatically expected but it was actually earned? Wish we had just not left a tip, because the servers definitely earned zero tip. So, if you want mediocre Indian food with terrible service, this is your restaurant. read more

The Indian restaurant on Airport Blvd is now called Tandoor and it is under new management. They have a very varied menu with more regional cuisines and far more choices than before. I took home 2 entrees and ate in and all was wonderful and beautifully seasoned. Go to their homepage to see many wonderful looking dishes. They have veggie, goat, lamb, fish, prawn choices and kebabs. All sorts of tandoor,biryani, etc. They even have tandoori salmon, which I love. Don't miss out.
