After waiting over an hour for a table, we were seated in a very tight corner. We had our stroller with us so our baby would have a safe, comfortable place to rest while we ate. We intentionally positioned it to take up as little space as possible, and our server, Zachery, was incredibly kind and accommodating. He never expressed any concern about its placement and provided excellent service throughout the time we were there. Unfortunately, our experience quickly changed when the manager approached our table. She informed us that she wanted to move our stroller so she could seat another guest beside us. We politely explained that we needed the stroller where it was for our newborn. Rather than accepting our answer or attempting to find another solution, she took it upon herself to move the stroller anyway, physically pushing it despite our objection. In doing so, she struck my father's leg with it. It wasn't simply the request that was upsetting--it was the complete disregard for our response and the lack of basic courtesy. We never raised our voices or acted unreasonably. We were simply trying to enjoy a meal with our newborn, and instead we were made to feel like an inconvenience. We decided to leave without eating because the atmosphere had become so uncomfortable. It's heartbreaking that what should have been a cherished family milestone is now remembered for all the wrong reasons. I do want to recognize our server, Zachery, who was warm, professional, and did everything he could to make us feel welcome. My disappointment lies solely with the management. A single interaction can shape an entire dining experience, and unfortunately, that's exactly what happened here.

We told him it was our first time, and he immediately said, "You're in for a treat." I thought to myself, if this is how we're greeted before even stepping foot inside the restaurant, I can only imagine what the rest of the hospitality would be like. When we checked in, the hostess told us the wait would be approximately 15-30 minutes. We said we would take the first available table, and about 20 minutes later, we received a text letting us know our table was ready. We went back to the hostess stand and were taken outside to a great table. We were near the bar, but still had plenty of room and never felt crowded. Within seconds, our waiter appeared and, just like the valet, greeted us warmly. He asked if we had been to Boshamps before, and when we told him it was our first visit, his eyes lit up. He took the time to tell us about the restaurant and the chef and walked us through the menu. He took our drink orders and gave us some time to look everything over. We started with a dozen Oysters Boshamps, and OMG... they were FIRE! The hint of bacon, onion, and feta was the perfect combination. I was secretly hoping my friend wouldn't like them so I could have hers, but unfortunately for me, she loved them just as much as I did! For dinner, I ordered the Boshamps Basket with grilled shrimp. The shrimp were a great size and coated in a delicious combination of pepper and buttery goodness. My friend ordered the Pan-Roasted Gulf Grouper, and her exact words after the first bite were, "Best fish I've had." She was nice enough to let me have a taste, and I completely understood why she said it. The grouper was absolutely delicious. From start to finish, the hospitality at Boshamps was top-notch. They truly have the guest experience down to a science. It was also great seeing the manager constantly walking around the entire restaurant, checking on things and making sure everything was running smoothly. That kind of attention to detail really stood out. After talking about going here for years, I'm glad we finally made it happen.
