This place looks unassuming from the outside. However, inside the food is excellent. Aloo tika chat was excellent. Dhal puri was excellent. The goat biryani was excellent. Seriously, the flavors were authentic and complex. The seasonings were perfect. I'm not sure who did the cooking, but they knocked it out of the park. We asked for extra spicy without being over the top. They did a great job. Very spicy without being unbearable. I was completely impressed. The interior is very nice. The service was great. What a great find and a great lunch buffet this is! It's pretty convenient, just a short distance off the Northway. All of the offerings, hot and cold, are very nicely spiced, even the pakoras. I hope you like chicken, because at least today, I counted something like 5 hot chicken options on the buffet and also a cold chicken tikka salad. Dessert included both rice pudding and mango custard. At the far end of the buffet was a chai carafe, and at the near end - something I've never previously seen at a buffet - a dispenser of rose milk. I loved the music they were playing, very upbeat. Outstanding North Indian restaurant in Plattsburgh strip mall, don't miss this in the north country! Really superior vegetarian dishes and very fast and helpful service. Reasonable price for big portions. Our party of five got two meals from the take away from the dinner. We didn't have the buffet but many patrons were loading up. Came here during lunch and had their lunch buffet. $12.95 a person before tax and tips. The waiters were attentive in taking away the plates after we finished each round and refilling our waters. This buffet is fantastic. There are so many dishes and each Monday night they mix up some of the options. We were so pleased to have goat curry each week though! It's a favorite! An authentic Indian joint. We ordered some North Indian fare - Butter Naan with Paneer Makani and a Vegetable Biryani. The briyani was of the North Indian style as I expected - a colorful and flavorful medley of rice and veggies paired with the slightly sweet and tangy raitha. The bread and curry again formed a beautiful pair soothing our palates nicely. The staff was amicable and patient, the restaurant was large, beautiful and clean. It's a shame we could not return there as we only stayed around for a night. It's a must stop on your way North. read more

Having enjoyed Indian cuisine from New York Metropolitan area to London it was a wonderful treat to find such an amazing restaurant to enjoy in Plattsburgh, NY. We have a camp about 50 minute away and are looking forward to returning with friends in the coming weeks! The restaurant is lovely with an open and inviting modern but still traditional ambiance. As we were being seated the water was being poured and throughout the experience we found the service to be attentive but not intrusive. A few moments after we had the opportunity to enjoy all the dishes we were politely approached by the owner to inquire if everything was to our liking and if there was anything he or his staff could do for us. It was a very nice gesture and well done... The portions were generous and each dish exceeded our expectations in both presentation and taste.
