Overall - solid spot for some Indian food while in the area. It's a simple operation - you order by the counter and then you can self seat yourself and once the order is ready it can be picked up at the counter. We ordered some papadi chaat, samosa chaat, and paratha for our lunch. We enjoyed the flavors and the quick service. It wasn't too busy when we arrived and the place was relatively clean. It's in a larger strip mall location so there is plenty of parking and the area seems to have a lot of other Indian options in case this place wasn't exactly serving what you're seeking. Recently got a catering order from India Hut. Ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, Chicken Tikka Masala, Paneer Tikka Masala and Naan. Food was excellent. Portion sizes were fair. Food was ready on time and service was great. I would highly recommend getting Indian food from this location. read more

100% Authentic and VERY delicious Indian cuisine! Indian Hut is the real deal...having been to several Indian restaurants in NYC and a few in Philly, the food here is up there with the best of them! Start out with the Vegetable Samosas and Tandoori Chicken as appetizers and then work your way to Chicken Tikki Masala, Palak Chicken (aka Chicken Saag - Curried Chicken with Creamed Spinach- seriously good!), Chicken Curry or one of their Specials! Do yourself a big favor and get everything Spicy (not Mild or Medium) for the best experience. All of the ingredients are fresh and the spices are incredible! Top it off with a Mango Lassi drink and you're all set! I just tried a few of the cake slices: Mango & Butterscotch - The owner said fresh buttercream is used and urged me to try a couple! I've been looking for a proper chaat house. I wanted and ordered samosa Chole chaat... ots essentially a samosa broken open with luscious garbanzo beans seasoned with good spices . Tamarind drizzled on top and some yogurt too. Sev puri sprinkled on top for tiny crunchy texture. It was a touch spicy... but more authentic than anything I've found in the area. I also got my precious jalebi sweet. It was sweet and delicate. I also got the chai which came from a machine( instant) ... well it was ok... but I really want freshly prepared proper chai. The balding guy behind the counter is wacky rude. It's his thing. He really should be more welcoming. I notice he's like that to everybody so I didn't take it too personally. The staff at this place is so RUDE and made my sister in law so upset. We will never be going back. During Covid we supported this business with a large order and they couldn't have been nastier. They also were not wearing masks properly. I can see why this place has so few stars. RUN from this place. Do NOT eat here! Diner beware. The good news is that this part of Street Road, Bensalem,PA, has a large Indian population and alot of commerce dedicated to meeting the needs of the community. The bad news is that Indian Hut is still the equivalent of a fast casual food outlet - better than fast food, but far short of haute subcontinental cuisine. So, unless your expectations are properly calibrated, you are probably going to be somewhat disappointed by the size of each entree, the roughness of the main ingredients, or the non-subtlety of the various sauces into which everything is thrown and mixed. Our Malai Kofta (veggie balls in mild red curry), Chicken Korma and Makhani (boneless chunky chicken in spicy red/lightly sweet mild yellow curry), Chili Gobhi (fried cauliflower florets in Manchurian red chili/tumeric heat) and Veggie Biryani (long grain basmati rice mixed with chopped greens, like fried rice, but not as captivating), were strong on spice, pretty in color, but perhaps too monotonal in texture and heavy handed Indian spices. Not that everything was bad, it wasn't. It's more that everything was too much alike, so that the dishes blended together indistinguishably from each other after a few bites. At $11-12 per choice, it wasn't too expensive, but would have been so much better with a deft curry hand at the controls. Then again, if you can taste the difference between fast casual and superior tasting North or South Indian kitchens, you don't really belong at such inferior joints. read more

Honestly, this place would be a lot better if the people who run it were nicer. My husband and I went to pick up an order and the guy behind the counter almost made the woman in front of us cry. Once before that, we placed an order online for pickup and he said he almost canceled our entire order bc he didn't want to make the onion rava masala dosa we ordered. The food is okay, the only reason we go back is because they have good samosa chaat. But yeah, that guy who works there is super rude. read more

Masala in Dum Biryani is very spicy even though we ordered medium and it constituted 3rd of whole biryani quantity. When I showed it to the owner, he is least bothered. Malai Kofta gravy is good but Koftas are over fried. Garlic Naan is good. But the owner's attitude sucks. Prices are very very expensive too. Mango Lassi used to be $1 until 10 years ago. Not sure if they are adding little gold powder for it to be 3.90 now. read more

This place used to be good. They used to have delicious masala dosas. Last night i went there with my parents and ordered 3 masala dosas. The filling was right in the center. Dosa was thin and too crispy. Which is fine. Coming to the aloo masala - it was spoilt! It was smelling and tasted v sour. I could and my mom could immediately make out this masala was not edible. We called the manager and he started arguing!!! I mean instead of apologizing and getting us something else he started arguing that food is fine and that we have eaten half of it!! He was mean and rude in short. After a lot of arguments he decided to replace our food with fresh plain dosa, idli and something else we requested. But this experience left us with a bad taste. I do not recommend going there nor will i go there ever. read more

We ordered take-out from Indian hut during quarantine. We started with veg simosa which was very tasty. I ordered the chicken tiki masala mild. It was a bit too spicy for me and I would probably emphasize very mild next time and hope for a little less spice but I'm not a big fan of spicy. The rice was about average. We also ordered naan bread which they forgot to include in our order. Being we went and drove to pick up we didn't feel like driving back for bread, but was disappointing as it's generally one of my favorite parts of Indian cuisine. read more

Will keep it short and sweet. Tried this place for first time and below is my feedback Rasmalai - Must try. The best i have had so far in USA. Chole bhatura - Again very tasty and not too oily. Really liked it. Veg biryani - perfect quantity and spice. Good one. Veg manchurian - A lil spicy for me but bery nice taste and well cooked Dahi puri - Good one. Mango lassi - Not so good. Had better than this one. I wouldnt go for this next time. Overall good food. You need to order onc counter and the food would arrive on your seat. You are given a token number as reference. This was our second visit to this place. Lats time we tired Indo-Chinese and didn't like it. yhe food was very Oily n Greasy. This time we went for traditional veg snacks. Orderd vada pav and dabgeli. Both were strictly ok. Nothing to rave abt. We also ordered missal pav which came 20mins late. Also, missal didnt have any salt or spice in it. After giving 2 attempts, i would not recommend this place. read more

The Chicken Tikka Kebab - had a couple pieces charred and dry but the juicy pieces were very good and flavorful. My wife orders from here for work lunches and enjoys the Paneer Tikka Masala. She said even though she asks for light spice it usually has more punch. The plain naan was fresh and very good. Their menu is quite extensive. I don't think I've ever seen Indo Chinese dishes on a menu before. They also had Dosa specials and South Indian specialties. For local Indian grub I think Rajni is my spot. The items outside the dosa similarly impressed me and my wife during a recent meal. The chicken 555 comprised morsels of fried chicken tossed in an appetizingly creamy and spicy sauce, which made for an addictive bite. We enjoyed the variety of curries (including fish, goat, and chicken) and the flaky paratha that came in the non-vegetarian thali, which was very fairly priced at $20. Service here deserves a mention, as the staff are very accommodating and hard working. The restaurant ambiance is simple but tidy. Overall, Rajni fills a needed niche in the area and is well worth a visit for any Indian food fan to sample some less common South Indian dishes at reasonable prices.

Our order: Veggie Samosa for an appetizer; Chicken Korma, Chili Chicken - Dry, as entrees; and Baingan Bartha (curry eggplant), for a veggie side; and Garlic Naan to soak up the sauces. The foods were all very good to excellent, with kudos to the korma and dry chili chicken, which displayed spice skill with the sauces. The bird was perfectly cooked, and not at all dried out. If there was a weakness, it was the Naan, which appeared premade and merely heated in the oven before wrapping in foil. It was thicker and drier than normal, and not the least bit flakey, nor with expected air pockets. There was practically no garlic flavor. Next time, skip the naan. There are talented hands at Shagun Palace where they are allowed to perform their magic. They are masters of curry cream reductions, but make a mistake in not carrying the expertise through to their breads. I had a terrible experience here. I don't even know why I came back after the first time. The chicken is way over cooked in their dishes and it took for ever for my order to be ready. I love Indian food and that once in a while when my favorite place is closed I get desprite and hope that there is other restaurants out there that can live up to my standards. But this place has to be the biggest mistake and waste of money I've ever spent. The first time I thought maybe it was just a bad day. but the 2nd time i don't even know what food they gave me. I order chicken tikka Marsala and got a container marked chicken tikka Marsala but inside scared me. It looked like they just mixed bunch of random food in the container and gave it to me. We had celebrated birthday party by inviting 45 members , really had a very bad experience with the manager and the way he organized the food., After 15 members finished their lunch with snack items, he hesitated to bring again for the remaining hosts and the no. of food items are very less for the price which we were offered. More over the floor of entire party hall is sticky., Less lighting And normally for the 3 and below aged group of kids also they considered the cost., So we totally disappointed with the behavior of the manager. As of 07/31/2012, Department of Health has shut down Indian Hut for failure to maintain the minimum safe and sanitary requirements for the preparation and serving of food and drink to the general public. This notice has been posted on their store front door and in view of public. The suspension might be temporary but it sure as hell, I will not be returning back to this business. read more

My fiancee wanted to order something simple, going for chocolate chip pancakes and pork roll. The pancakes were serviceable, but she disappointingly received bacon rather than the pork roll. Finally, our check out service was nonexistent. It's cash only, as other's mentioned, but once we flagged down an employee she let us know the ATM wasn't working. In conclusion, the Radcliffe Cafe was a pathetic dining experience. Located within the Waterside community off of State Road in Bensalem. It is popular with the residents there. Open for breakfast and lunch they offer varied daily specials in addition to a pretty packed menu. Waterside may look like it's part of the Waterside community but it is open to the general public. Parking can be a struggle sometimes and it is very noisy but turns out a consistent breakfast.
