It's a simple operation - you order by the counter and then you can self seat yourself and once the order is ready it can be picked up at the counter. We ordered some papadi chaat, samosa chaat, and paratha for our lunch. We enjoyed the flavors and the quick service. It wasn't too busy when we arrived and the place was relatively clean. It's in a larger strip mall location so there is plenty of parking and the area seems to have a lot of other Indian options in case this place wasn't exactly serving what you're seeking. The good news is that this part of Street Road, Bensalem,PA, has a large Indian population and alot of commerce dedicated to meeting the needs of the community. The bad news is that Indian Hut is still the equivalent of a fast casual food outlet - better than fast food, but far short of haute subcontinental cuisine. So, unless your expectations are properly calibrated, you are probably going to be somewhat disappointed by the size of each entree, the roughness of the main ingredients, or the non-subtlety of the various sauces into which everything is thrown and mixed. Our Malai Kofta (veggie balls in mild red curry), Chicken Korma and Makhani (boneless chunky chicken in spicy red/lightly sweet mild yellow curry), Chili Gobhi (fried cauliflower florets in Manchurian red chili/tumeric heat) and Veggie Biryani (long grain basmati rice mixed with chopped greens, like fried rice, but not as captivating), were strong on spice, pretty in color, but perhaps too monotonal in texture and heavy handed Indian spices. Not that everything was bad, it wasn't. It's more that everything was too much alike, so that the dishes blended together indistinguishably from each other after a few bites. At $11-12 per choice, it wasn't too expensive, but would have been so much better with a deft curry hand at the controls. Then again, if you can taste the difference between fast casual and superior tasting North or South Indian kitchens, you don't really belong at such inferior joints. read more

This place used to be good. They used to have delicious masala dosas. Last night i went there with my parents and ordered 3 masala dosas. The filling was right in the center. Dosa was thin and too crispy. Which is fine. Coming to the aloo masala - it was spoilt! It was smelling and tasted v sour. I could and my mom could immediately make out this masala was not edible. We called the manager and he started arguing!!! I mean instead of apologizing and getting us something else he started arguing that food is fine and that we have eaten half of it!! He was mean and rude in short. After a lot of arguments he decided to replace our food with fresh plain dosa, idli and something else we requested. But this experience left us with a bad taste. It was a bit too spicy for me and I would probably emphasize very mild next time and hope for a little less spice but I'm not a big fan of spicy. The rice was about average.
