Leela's is absolutely amazing! Everything we ordered was delicious like the signature cauliflower…read moredish that tasted like chicken and the biryani that was super smooth and flavourful. The service was quick and the ambiance was so cute, pink and fancy! We even got dessert on the house, I highly recommend both the food and the vibes and will be coming back soon!

Made a reservation for 2 people at 8pm and was not seated until a bit after 8:20pm. They did not offer anything to make up for the wait. It looked like they gave our table away on accident because there was a couple that had just sat down. And we were about 10 min early so it's not that we were late and they gave it away. It would have been nice to at least have offered a drink or dessert, especially since there is not standing space/waiting room so you have to awkwardly hover near the front of the place. What was even more annoying is when we finally sat, they actually came to take orders from a table that sat down AFTER us first. Again, not sure if the waitresses were new but it was getting super late and we had just driven for 3 hours so we're hungry and had an early flight the next day and still had to go return our rental at the airport and check-in to the hotel. Hence, we came to a place that had a reservation. I ordered a herbal tea (Gulaabo) to start with since I love Rose flavor and then the Chaat Papri to hold us over. It took a while for even that to come out because as soon as it did come, 5 min later our actual dishes came out and there was very little space on the table. I ordered the Saffron lamb Korma and my coworker had the Chicken Tikka Masala. The lamb was perfection and the curry sauce amazing. The saffron flavors really blended well with the cashew creamy sauce and the lamb was so tender and absorbed the flavors so well. I had the spicy naan to eat it with and it was delicious. My coworker enjoyed her chicken tikka as well though the chicken could have been cut smaller so that it got a bit. Orr tender with the sauce. It took a while to get our check after we requested it right when the food came. Overall, satisfied with the food but not the service.

Sweet, smooth, and Insta-worthy! Our mango delight pairs beautifully with Leela's romantic ambiance. Taste summer in a glass!

One of the best Indian restaurants in the city! Located along Bloor St. near Crawford, I've been to…read moreBanjara numerous times throughout the years. Always love coming here, whether it be for date night or an afterwork meal with coworkers. The restaurant is fully accessible where they have a section with lots of natural lighting, They are also able to accommodate larger groups as well. Must get items at Banjara are the garlic naan, butter chicken, and the lamb sausage kebabs! Their curries are great for sharing and heavy, where the sauces are best eaten with naan or rice. The portions may look small but do not be fooled. There are also plenty of options if you are vegetarian as well. They also are licensed to sell alcohol as well. Service wise, staff try to be accommodating as best they can and food usually arrives at a reasonable time, even if you are coming as a big party. Overall, been going to Banjara for many years now and will definitely return for more!

The bindhi was fresh tasting and the goat was nicely spiced I asked for it to be mild. It was a good meal but the atmosphere was not controllable. But the food is still good

This place looks a bit dingy but they have a huge spread: 11 veg + 11 non-veg curries, plus 1 veg +…read more1 non-veg briyani ; there were rarer dishes like egg curry, methi malai chicken & rajma. On top of that, there's a dry meat corner & a fried stuff corner. They cover a lot of ground, eg there's both dry & gravy chili chicken. The spread is probably big because it's also used for takeout (I saw staff scooping food from the buffet into a container a few times). The food is mostly of decent quality. Best of all, they're really cheap: Saturday dinner was $17.99 plus tax. They get 4.5 stars. The fried rice was tasteless but the veg Hakka noodles were pretty good. The Butter Naan was decent as naan but a bit dry for butter naan. Butter chicken used tandoori chicken, giving extra flavour & had a very rich sauce (shared with the paneer makhani). It was especially good. There were quite a few desserts: fruit, 2 mini cakes, ice cream & Indian deserts, Both mini cakes were dry. The Indian desserts & fruit were decent. There were 6 ice cream flavours but 3 were super icy & hard & 2 were super soft.

The Butter chicken was slightly on the sweeter side and the garlic naan had a sufficient amount of garlic and butter. Overall, I really enjoyed the meal and would recommend it if you caving some wholesome food. However, I wish they gave more chicken pieces with the gravy. I would love to try their all you can eat buffet if I happen to be in the area.

And if it were run by my childhood best friend, it'd be Brotherfromanothermother India. What to get: Chicken Tikka Masala with Roti or Rice What not to get: India-pendence from the bloody Brits, not without a lot of bloodshed first :( Ways to improve: Slightly lower prices, slightly shorter wait times It may take awhile for your wonderful, delicious Roti to be ready, but it's worth the wait. The lovely young woman serving here does so with a smile, and is as gracious and welcoming has her food is magnificent. Indian food is plentiful in Toronto, but few places blend the spices with fresh doughy roti as wonderfully and magnificently as Mother India. I think it is quite liberal use of the word mother, because I doubt too many Indian mothers can make their food taste this good. The Tikka Masala dish borrows from British Indian food, invented by immigrants to the UK from India, which itself borrows from the original Subcontinent dishes. The Canadian incarnation of this - complete with the wonderful floury slippery roti skins, and the piping hot blend of spices and chicken inside - is unmissable. If you haven't made your way out to the West end of town for some of the ethnic delights - Indian, Caribbean and many more - along Queen St W, then you have yet to truly experience the breadth and deliciousness of the magnificent food choices in Canada's largest city. And if it existed in a world where the bloody Brits had never invaded and colonized India in the first place, then it would be "Another India." But we can't undo the heinous actions of our past. Unfortunately, we also seem unable and unwilling to learn from them.
