Let me just stop by saying 10 out of 10. You have to book this class online to reserve a spot, but once you do, you're good to go. I happen to find this thought randomly while walking around Alpharetta and I thought it was really cool of an idea. It's a small shop that sells fragrances and they teach a class. For the class. You'll come in and you'll check in and you'll have a seat. They'll put on an apron and have you put one on as well and begin the conversation. Now this isn't just you going to throw some fragrances together to see what happens, they're going to give you a history and some context around the fragrances and the science behind it. Which is really super dope. They're very descriptive and very thorough and they even answer questions. If you have questions that need to be asked to help you with the process. The presentation takes maybe about a half hour or so, but like I said it's a lot of information so that's not a bad thing. After that you'll be getting to all of the fragrances in front of you. Now you have a bunch of oils in front of you that are going to be there for you to test and try as well as some droppers and beakers and things like that to mix fragrances. You're basically going to play a cologne scientist and put together a number of fragrances that you like as a combination to make your own specific and particular scent. And that's really cool in itself. You have at least an hour or an hour and a half to do this so you have time but this is the hardest part. Because now there are so many fragrances to try. You want to try so many combinations, you can't do it all LOL. At the end of it, you'll submit your information and you are able to tip them when you submit your fragrance. Please tip these people, they work there by self to make sure you have a good experience. They'll let you name your fragrance and they'll print out a label for you and you'll have a fragrance roller that you can use for travel. They'll explain. The actual uses for it so you don't have to worry about that. But you'll get a personalized fragrance that nobody else has. So if that in itself is clutch! If nothing else, you'll get something that's only yours. But at the end of the day, this is a super duper dope experience that you can't just walk in and do at any perfume shop. I loved it. I would actually go back again and make another personalized fragrance for me. read more

This is an amazing quality time activity for lovers, friends or family. We came here on a Sunday afternoon to take a fragrance creation class led by Jaden (sp?). The class was very informative (as a chemist even I learned a lot) and you got to leave with a 10 oz fragrance of your personal creation. This was such a unique and fun experience! I love perfume and the idea of curating my own fragrance intrigued me. Our fragrance host was so knowledgeable and patient. I liked that they kept the class size small and intimate, it made it so much easier for our host to guide us through that process of making our perfect, personalized fragrance. I took my best friend for an early birthday celebration and knew that we would have a blast with the fragrance making alone but Jenn took it the extra mile for us. First off, there is onsite parking that has an affordable rate and also a free parking deck they inform you about via email which I love. I'm definitely a give me instructions first type of woman so I love a thorough email. The class was extremely informative with a slideshow learning portion then straight to work! It was nonstop fun and mixing with an array of aromas. I cannot wait to come back and try another class and to order my fragrance in the future. Truly an amazing time and would recommend to anyone for a personal experience or shared experience. Adorable store with the nicest and most helpful staff. I was in visiting my friend from outside the peach state and found a truly memorable place and experience. Making perfume is fun and an adventure. They have classes you can take to make a rollerball fragrance in 101 and 102 learn the elements of layering scents more in depth. I'll fly from Colorado again to take the courses. The ways they display and showcase scents in the glass funnels is one of the best I've seen, and the staff really knows their offerings. What a completely awesome time!! Yeah I know this sounds a little ho hum but honestly it was a fantastic date idea filled with fun and in the end you take what you create home with you. The location is in the downtown Alpharetta area so get here early to find parking. The venue itself if well done! It has an awesome shop with great selections as well as a perfect class room setting. The class is what we came for... it is all about making your own personal scent. You go through a short presentation on the dos and donts of fragrances, you learn about the process and then you start your mad scientist mixing! In our class we had a couple celebrating a 50th bday (they were there for the gentalmans bday), an older couple on a date, a group of 4 younger women on a bday celebration and myself and my date. It was an eclectic group that was not afraid to have fun. Basically you get to choose from a wide variety of oils and you test what you like on strips. Then you put the strips together, no more then 5 "flavors" and smell them all at once. You keep moving fragrances in and out removing a strip adding a new one until you find the combination you love. All the time the class holder is there for help and advice. Once you find the combination you like you mix up a pure oil sample and try it on your skin. Wait a while and see if it works with your chemistry.. if you don't like that then you go back to the drawing board and start again. It took about 2.5 hours but the time just flew by! We were laughing, talking, testing... it was a very interactive fun time. In the end when you have discovered your scent you name it and mix up a sample. They log your formula and the name so if you want more in the future they can mix you up a bottle. I am telling you if you like perfume or cologne this is a great way to spend a couple of hours. Especially if you have someone to spend it with. My date and I got to talk, work together, and truly enjoyed the experience. It was an amazing date and we both have something to remember it by that we can use over and over. There is an advanced class that we will look to go to next! The real charm of this place is the location, the ambiance and the fabulous candle-making instructor. My friend and I were visiting from out of town, and we enjoyed being educated on the different types of scents, how they can complement each other and how to create a candle once you've built an idea around what scents you're drawn to most. A very lovely experience creating my own fragrance! The fragrance bar has amazing scents divided in four categories and deciding on a category guides you to blend the perfect perfume. The instructions were quite simple so it wasn't hands-on. The scents are potent when open but the rollerball I left with doesn't last long. Your bottle can be named and for paid classes sometimes wine is available. The price is a bit high but it's a cool experience. This fragrance paradise is tucked away in Alpharetta. The scent blending workshop was fun and informative. It's perfect to celebrate a birthday or girl's day. We were given aprons to wear before we began. We were briefed with an intro to fragrance including how to keep it long lasting. Then we were given several scents to blend to create our own rollerball. At the end of the workshop we named our perfumes and they were labeled and bagged for us to take home. One other customer said they make you feel so special upon buying the product and the young ladies that initially helped me were so very nice. I bought a beautiful fragrance so that I thought. Only to find out that when I opened the box it was not what I was wearing when I sampled the fragrance! I immediately called the store the next day and spoke to the store manager and she was rude off the bat ... unfortunately, we do not do returns. I said I am not returning because I don't like the fragrance I sampled... I have opened a faulty box of bad perfume and she still said the same thing. She called me back later that evening and said I would have to pay to ship it to the store and this would be my expense nothing about reimbursing me if they discovered the product was a fake ... I said let me discuss this with my husband and bank because this seemed a little odd and she (Shannon) just started talking crazy saying I'm trying to help you ... I said I was taking and you are being rude .... Couldn't finish my sentence ... she just kept screaming I'm trying to help you! She hung the phone up! I have to say I have never experienced this kind of behavior from a small business when purchasing a pretty pricey item. I will let my bank handle this one because I am sure MS Carrie Hadley would not appreciate someone working on her clock in one of her niche store with such hostility! People want to be treated with respect not just upon purchasing something but just in general ... sorry this was not the case and I will never visit this store again read more

I was scrolling on TikTok and saw a post about Indiehouse's workshop. I knew this would be the perfect experience for my mom's birthday, so I booked the Scent Blending 101 class for me and her for her birthday weekend. The booking process was super easy! I was able to go to the website, select my preferred time and date, and book from there. They also offer private classes (at least 6 people) and bridal party classes. The booking confirmation email tells is so detailed and highlights everything you need to know including parking or buying snacks/wine for class. We arrived right on time and I dropped my mom off at the front door while I went to find parking - there was a lot behind the store that luckily had a few spots left. Parking was THICK in the area! Our class was held in a separate room in the back of the store and there were 8 of us in attendance. Our instructor, Lauren, gave an overview of the class, the process, and provided us with good-to-know details around scents (how to wear them, EDP vs. EDT vs. EDC, etc.). Shortly after the overview, we began to start the scent blending process by smelling a lot of different oils to find our perfect blend. I definitely felt like I was back in Chem 101 lol. It was super fun blending, smelling, trying, and tweaking. The other attendees were really friendly and fun, and Lauren was super helpful with any questions we had. My mom absolutely loves fragrances so this class was the perfect finale for her birthday weekend and was an experience she completely loved! And the best part? After making your unique fragrance, Indiehouse keeps your formula and information on file for you to come and get refills when you run out. So cool! We truly enjoyed this experience and hope to come back when they implement the Scent Blending 202 class. read more
