Ulta Salons Tired of…read morepaying insane prices and spending a whole day in the salon just to tame your mane? Tired of being forced to get your hair done between Tuesday and Saturday? Well I have the perfect suggestion for you. Go to Ulta Salon in Alpharetta across from Northpoint Mall. There was a time when I would go to other salons and waste whole days getting my hair done because the greedy hairdresser overbooked clients. There was also a time when I spent $100 every six to ten weeks to get my hair done, but those days are also over. For $75, I get trimmed ends and my relaxer retouched at Ulta. Not to mention, I have an Ulta rewards card so the more I spend, the more benefits, deals and discounts I receive. With professional stylists and exceptional service, Ulta's the place to go. Typically I can get in and out in less than two and a half hours. Honestly Ulta has something for everyone. Regardless of your nationality or hair type, most Ulta stylists are well versed and trained to do hair period. They also offer awesome and honest hair consultations. Especially my stylist Lawrence, I have seen him work on other people and they look fabulous when they leave the salon. Individual stylist schedules vary, however the salon is open 7 days a week. Ulta salons are located in the back of Ulta stores. Ulta stores specialize in hair care, skincare, cosmetics, fragrances, bath and body, appliances and accessories. Check them out at www.ulta.com. To contact the Alpharetta salon, call (770) 992-2245 and ask for Lawrence.

This review is for Lydia and the hair salon…read more My sister came in town from being out of country and her hair looked like a hot mess and even had this awkward rat tail going on.....Navy life...so I hear. So I woke up on Monday and called around trying to book two last minute appointments for haircuts, this would prove to be a task of tedious proportions....I called Ulta hoping they would be able to....YAY! They had two appts at 10 and 11....mind you I called at 9:14...so we showed up a few minutes late and Lydia met us at the chair with a smile and even called after us running a few minutes late to make sure we were still coming. So I sit down and Lydia is very patient and walks me through my wants and desires, offers her own suggestions and what she thinks is best for my hair. I'm not a super picky person when it comes to my hair, as long as it's longer then the norm these days and doesn't look like a three year old took a pair of Fiskers to it, I'm good! Once she starts cutting your hair she walks you through each step and explains what she is doing so you feel like you have a part in the whole process. She isn't scissor happy so you don't panic when your hair is being cut....girls you know what I mean. My hair looks great and so does my sisters....thanks Lydia! She's my new go to stylist.

Had YET ANOTHER bad experience at this Ulta with its staff. Now after the past few disasters at…read morethis location I now will only go to this location for in store pickups when in a time pinch. It's the holidays and I am in said time pinch so I did an in store pickup and once again encountered a rude and unprofessional staff member. Kind of wild to leave a store that you've only been physically inside for less than 5 min this annoyed but this location never fails to be the worst so how can I be surprised. Trust me it's worth going to the next closest location to avoid this one.

When I tried to return it, they would only give me a store credit. I picked out my color again and they didn't have the color or anything close to it or any other brand that had a color close to it their shelves are empty when it comes to wanting something that isn't in a sales being super cheap or should be. They did find a similar color and it only would cost me double but it wasn't even the color. I know they got me so I left with what I walked in with. I know not to go here if I want something cutting edge or even of the norm. If you don't wanna knock off shade, this isn't the store to go to because they're gonna pay retail For something that should be in the sale bin and is not I.

My issue is not necessarily with the staff as much as it is with the way the discount items are displayed up front. Just about every time I've picked up something that is sitting in the $6 or $4 bin (sample size products) it turns out to be much more at the register. I read the labels carefully on the product and the bin in which it's in to make sure it matches but somehow on more than one occasion it's always more. Are they placing higher prices items along with the discount and lower priced samples in those front bins for some reason? If I return (seriously considering returning to Macy's where things are clearly priced) I will not even bother with the items up front. Lesson learned. What was supposed to be $45 quickly turned into over $70 for what are the equivalent of sample sizes. Not cool.

Why do any of this when I can buy it Amazon. The answer is because I want help from a sales associate which is non-existent at this place. I am ignored or can't find someone to help me (that never fails). Their competitor, Shepora, is just around the corner and very eager to assist their patrons. My shopping days at Ulta are over. It is amazing they are still in business.

She didn't ask me to let her know if I needed anything. She was proactive and asked me what brought me in, making it clear that she was going to be engaged in helping me make my visit productive and efficient (I'm a project manager, so I appreciate the efficiency part). When I asked a question that she wasn't certain about the answer, she didn't make one up, she confirmed with another employee, who gave the same answer she though, confirming both her own understanding, but also making sure she didn't lead me in the wrong direction. I have been to many Sally stores, and sometimes it's hit or miss if the workers will engage. They're almost always helpful when I ask for help, but this specific store must be managed well because I've never had to 'ask' for help. It's evident that they're there to help me, not just take my money. Great job... and happy holidays!

The service is always friendly and they're always trying to sell you extra Sally stuff at the registers...I think it's something they have to do since I can't seem to go to any Sally without being bugged about a product that I don't want. That being said Sally's is good for certain things but they don't have the variety of things you would find, let's say, in the hood beauty supply. And if your a person of color...you just might need to go to the hood cuz Sally ain't selling those silk scarfs you need to keep your kitchen laid down.
