And $208 for "minor troubleshooting or diagnostic on specific part of the system" as states on the receipt. - so I guess looking at the screen and toward direction of the filter cost us $208! We were absolutely confused how we are paying for diagnostic and person didn't even go outside to look at our outside unit. Asked him to do that - got hit with $612 more dollars. So $919.08 and our issues wasn't even fixed, it was "diagnosed". After that we were provided with option change the part ("the cheapest option" for $3110.92, when apparently this part costs $400 everywhere else. Or change outside unit completely to some old-technology unit for 7869.56 just because it's not "new". In comparison, we could've change a whole AC system for cheaper and better units.

We purchased a $25k American Standard system plus a $6k mini split for my garage from Elite for our new construction home. After moving in January 2025, we came home to a non functioning system after a trip in May. We had an emergency call and Frank came out and fixed the system. Clogged drain line, which after 5 months of use is apparently a maintenance issue according to them and I got to pay $447 for their services. Asked about their maintenance program, no response from anyone. System goes out 3 days later. Now it's a sensor issue, so the tech bypasses the sensor and calls it good. No charge, but also no refund for the previous service and no response on getting on a maintenance plan. Two weeks later, system goes out again it's a breaker issue. After getting that fixed on my own the system worked fine for the last year. September 2025, I found water in my garage and my mini split was leaking through the wall. One of the pvc elbows wasn't glued properly on the drain line. Elite fixed it free of charge. June 2026 my main system suffered two major failures. Leaking coil and compressor failure. Elite confirmed this, but decided, I still got to pay the $289 off hours call, while I waited around on Father's Day for them. Because I'm now out of my 1 year labor warranty, I was offered "a deal" on the service while the parts were covered under warranty. This is the point where I just decided that I could no longer work with this company and I was really out the price of a Honda Civic, minus the reliability. After telling them that wasn't good enough, their service manager Tim tried to make it right, offered to replace the parts and labor for free. If this had been the first issue, I would have taken him up on it, but I'm at a point of zero confidence in this company. Maybe I had bad luck or bad installers initially, but I decided to take care of my family and have a new unit from a different company installed. Despite what the jingle on the hold line says, which I'm very familiar with, Elite Air Conditioning and Plumbing does not care.

On 8/26/10, I called Cornerstone to have someone take a look at my malfunctioning dryer. The receptionist " Christina," took my address but said absolutely nothing about any fees or charges to give me an estimate. On 8/27/10, a serviceman arrived at my door and spent approximately 5 minutes looking at my dryer. He didn't take anything apart, he didn't test anything, he simply said "you need X part" and an estimate of $425 and 7 days to get it ordered. I asked to think about it for a couple of days so that I could get additional estimates. At that time he pulled out his credit card machine and said "OK, that'll be $75.00." I had no idea this fee was going to be assessed (and it's not mentioned on their Web site). Beware--no free estimates here! The serviceman assured me it would be applied to my bill if I had the work done, so I reluctantly gave him my credit card number and paid this fee. Several days later after investigating other options, I decided to have the part replaced. They told me it would be a week or so to get it ordered and that they would give me a call when it arrived. Almost 2 weeks later after no updates, I called them to inquire about the status of my order. No answer. I called a second time the next day. No answer. Finally, I receive a call from Christina (on a Friday at 4pm) asking me to call her with the model number of my dryer because "either the repairman had written it down wrong or the company sent the wrong part." I called her back on Monday (no answer) and left a voicemail with the information. No call back with confirmation, no apology for the error, nothing. When I asked for some concession on the price for this delay, she referred me to a supervisor. I never got a return call about that, the request was simply ignored. After another two weeks of hearing nothing and no updates, I called to ask for the status of the part. The next day I received a call to schedule the repair on 10/5/10--40 days after my initial estimate. 40 days! Once the part was installed, I got a bill for labor ($80) and the part ($286) + tax. The statement did not reflect a credit for the initial estimate, so I assumed it was overlooked. When I called the office to question this, Christina wasn't helpful at all. In fact, she was confrontational, argumentative and seemed only interested in defending the bill than addressing my problem. Five minutes later, the technician (much nicer) called saying he had "already reduced the bill by that amount and that it just wasn't reflected in the statement." Nice. How was I supposed to know that? And why was I treated so poorly for questioning it? Bottom line, I got my dryer fixed, and in the end probably paid what I owed them; however, my interaction with this company was terrible, and I wish I'd never dealt with them. The reason I'm holding garden house plumbing company accountable is because they should, prior to the foundation work, check to see if they have what is needed for the hydrostatic plumbing test and quote how much it will cost if there is will a cost. With that making the home owner aware of how much to expect to pay and giving the opportunity to choose to continue with the foundation work or choose another contractor. When there is a condition to the test and that this condition voids the warranty the lack of transparency is a total disregard and disrespect with the consumer. Marco Munoz did a great job explaining but only provided this explanation of the hydrostatic plumbing test per my request after the foundation work was done and I found out I'd get no warranty for it. This should have been provided along with the contract since Douglas Foundation assigns then to do the testing. If they are a reputable company and respect their customers I hope they will stop doing business in partnership with crooked, dishonest Douglas Foundation repair.
