While the employee was very nice and helpful, the quality of the hair is horrible. I understand that "selling the product" is important but deceiving a customer is very unprofessional. I purchased three bundles of the SEA Zen Straight hair. The texture feels nice when your first touch it. But once it's installed, all it does is shed...day and night...all day and night...to the point where you are constantly sweeping/vacuuming your floors. After my first time brushing it, clumps of hair was stuck in the brush. When I run my fingers through it clumps of hair are left in my hands. I do not recommend this hair at all. Recently gave it another shot and the hair is so much better than the previous bundles I brought- I switched back to Pure Wavy And am genuinely happy. Back in business! _____________________________________________________ Ive been a customer for a few years now purchasing hair every 3-4 months. In August I went to purchase my usual, Pure Wavy, took my 2 bundles home proceeded to wash it and install as usual. However this time I noticed what looked like flakes in the hair. I called, talked to a couple store personnel including the manager, asked them what it was and no one knew. They did take the hair back but no one ever told me what it was in the hair. I was hoping it was an isolated incident. Fast forward to this week, I attempt to purchase hair again and the same stuff I saw in the hair few months ago is still in the hair. I ask if they ever figured out what it was and they just said no like it was no big deal. I'm like, well did anyone try? Or no one cares? I end up purchasing a different type from my usual because every bundle I asked to see had the Flakes in it. I contact HQ to ask if they can investigate what's in the hair because I really like the quality of Indique Hair and would like to continue buying it however I'm concerned no one can tell me what's in the hair. I pretty much was told their Quality Assurance group looked at it and they didn't see anything in the hair. But if the store personnel saw it and so did I why isn't anyone trying to figure out what it is? One of the young ladies even seemed bothered and said she needs to make sure she starts washing her hair before installing because she was grossed out by whatever was in the hair. So I'm really disappointed that my question hasn't been taken serious enough to be investigated and answered. Regardless of whether the substance is something that can or can't harm you, if a consumer wants to know what's in this expensive hair that we buy, Indique should do the leg work to investigate and let the customer know. This is being put in your head, it should be taken serious. I even sent it to my own lab to have it looked at to make sure it wasn't a skin cell or bugs and had the pictures sent to them. I decided to try human hair to do tree braids, which braids my own hair but leaves the extensions to give a flowing hair look. I decided to go with Indique hair, and now I regret my decision. I bought three bundles of wavy bulk hair, 2 20 inch and 1 22 inch. I noticed the 22 inch was slightly different texture, but I hoped it would be alright. I got my hair done last week, and a two days later, it tangled and matted! I tried conditioner, and nothing worked. I went back to the store today, and the same lady that sold me the hair just said there was nothing they could do because the they can't do anything for bulk hair once installed. She just shrugged and told me to buy a different shampoo. That doesnt help the fact that the hair I got was two different textures. She was not helpful at all, so I just left. I don't normally leave reviews, but this was an awful experience. For Indique bulk hair, buy at your own risk. The hair is just as expensive as the wefted hair, but you get nothing in the way of exchange or return options which is ridiculous. For a company that sells such an expensive product, you would think they would stand by their product and ensure good customer service. I shouldn't have let the fancy store fool me. I have had much cheaper hair that hasn't tangled and matted on me in two days. I have to take this mess out. I'm never using Indique again, nor will I refer anyone to the Silver Spring Store. Rather than the Indique employee taking a brief pause from a personal conversation to say a hello, "let me know if you need anything" or to even to give a head node, she just kept on talking. I make an effort to support Black-owned business, but I refuse to spend my hard-owned cash anywhere I am not treated as a valued customer. And, one thing that I have always worn was the best hair. So the reviews about the cost on the hair did not stop me for going to visit the shop. I understand the cost of good quality hair. My normal place in CA was on back order with my hair. And, I needed my hair before they would have my hair. So, I decided to try Indique by suggestion of my hairdresser of over 10 years. My sister, daughter and I walked in the shop. No one said "hello welcome to Indique." Finally, I asked the young lady if she could help us. The other sales person was helping someone else. But this young lady was not helping anyone. Just standing staring at us. After I asked for help, she said, "Have you been here before?" When I said no, she push the cost list in front of me. I did not ask for a cost sheet. I asked for help. No one asked me, "how may I help you?" They just assumed I did not have money to purchase hair. Or, before they would even answer my questions or even talk to me about their hair, I get a price sheet pushed in my face. I know good hair quality is expensive. Indique DON'T ASSUME PEOPLE CANNOT AVOID YOUR HAIR! You know the saying ASSUMING makes an XXX out of you! Therefore on the customer alone, I give you a one. Really, it should be -1. Do better. 2/23/18 Visited Indique this month to purchase a bundle of hair for an install. Spoke in detail with Kyerra regarding the style and look I wanted to acheive (Photo example provided) with the Hair. Kyerra recommended bounce blowout and stated I would need only 1 bundle of hair. Also indicating I was purchasing the last bundle of hair in stock/at length. Also informing me of the return policy (e.g., shedding, tangling, etc., Indique would provide /replace with free bundle) After returning the next day with my stylist, as an another bundle was needed, we were assisted by the Manager. After sharing my experience with Kyerra the Manager questioned Kyerras recommendation of hair, indicating another hair type should have been recommended for achieving the look I was seeking. Post install, following all hair washing/maintenance recommendation/instruction, the hair began to shed heavily and tangle in the back. After contacting the store informing the Manager of the issue and revisiting the store, for the purpose of exchanging/receiving free bundle (in accordance with store policy as stated by the Manager and Kyerra), I was told by the Manager that she would not replace the hair as she did not 'feel' it met the requirements to do so! In addition to indicating various post purchase return policy "caveats" not included in writing nor voiced during initial buy! First- to evaluate shedding she combed through the visibly tangled hair over a dark floor surface (i.e. difficult to see dark brown hair/shedding on floor). Once I pointed this out we moved to the counter where she continued combing through the hair, where shedding continued. The manager stated it was not enough shedding, though I pointed out majority of the comb through had already taken place over the dark floor surface. She went on to inform me I was using the wrong comb and she felt if I used a different comb/brush the shedding would not occur. Though i informed her shedding occurs with different types of hair instruments I have used including the ones she described, she still ignored the issue. When asked about the visible tangling of the hair, she glossed over it as well indicating, she 'felt', it too would not occur with a different combing instrument. In conclusion my experience with Indique is a Very good example of Poor customer service, today. It takes but a moment to provide good customer service. If you want customers to Invest in.your company, invest in Customers via a good experience/customer service; particularly when customers express dissatisfaction with your product and you fail to honor/standardize criteria for your own return/exchange policy. It stands to reason if the Manager can 'feel', when to execute/honor/subjectively implement, store policy...as a customer I can 'feel' when I've had poor customer service/buying experience! Please note only 1 star was given as there is no option for 'zero' stars! read more

The hair they gave me gives off an extremely unpleasant, extremely noticeable, extremely embarassing, burnt/processed smell, when wet - indicating it is obviously not virgin hair as they advertise. In April I purchased the bounce blow out hair. Love the texture of the hair ,but the wefts are terrible and it sheds way too much for hair that almost cost $500. Note: I tend to purchase good hair and do expect some minimal shedding. A few weeks after my purchase someone from Indique called me to followup on my purchase- they must know their customers aren't satisfied. On this occasion, I purchased a different texture that I was not quite familiar with and had concerns regarding the texture's ability to hold my curls and what seemed like more shedding than what I was used to within the brand. I called and spoke to Tope', at the Silver Spring, MD location regarding my concerns. She was has assisted me on previous occasions with recommendations regarding stylists, styling products, protective style options, etc. She is always super personable, an empathetic listener and genuine in her willingness to make sure that not only as a customer, but as a CLIENT, I am happy with my purchase. Aside from the quality of their products, this is what differentiates Indique from many of the other hair extension companies and keeps me going back...they value my business, reward loyal clients (rewards program), listen to my concerns, offer support/follow-up after purchases, and they seek to make it right if they fall short of expectations. This is the worst hair I have EVER purchased! DO NOT buy this product. I purchased 2 "pure" wavy bundles from this location 1 week ago and went directly to my stylist for an install. Not even 15 minutes after she finished installing the bundles and curling the hair it started tangling. The ends were shedding excessively. This hair tangles so bad. I called the manager and was told to come in so she could "look at the hair and see what we could do". When I drove over 20 minutes, I had to wait an hour for her to get off her break for her then to only tell me that I should "deep condition the hair" and refuses to give me my money back or replace the units. What?! I have been wearing weaves for many years and have never had to deep condition the hair prior to installing it and definitely not a week in and DEFINITELY not for bundles I paid almost $400 for!! They are definitely falsely advertising this product. This is a SCAM. Do not buy from here, there are many better hair companies out there. Do your research!!! I have already had the Pure Collection, but me being natural it really didn't blend. This time i wanted to try the Bounce Collection. I know how the pure collection is but unsure of the bounce collection but I did not want to order the same hair but I was also scared to risk something I don't know. I love the fact that their was a store about an hour away from where I live. I love that the store has the hair their for you to feel so you can compare textures. Tiara Dunn was the sales rep that assisted me with my sale. She was very knowledge of the differences between the hair. Her knowledge help me make my decision. She also was very patient while I made my decision. I will not install the Bounce Collection until June 1 but looking at it I really believe this texture is best for my hair texture. It was my first time visiting Indique, and the service was phenomenal! The store manager explained not only the differences between Indique hair and the hair that I had previously been buying (thumbs down), but she also informed me about the texture of Indique hair, the wave patterns, pricing (supplemented with a pricing list), and proper maintenance. She took so much time with me, and this was really appreciated! Buying high quality hair is certainly an investment, and it was nice to know that she was not only passionate about her bundles, but also about her customers and their coins! She was so knowledgeable and was able to answer every single question that I had, and I loved that. Also, the boutique was very clean and the bundles were beautiful!
