When I first arrived I was treated with much respect and met with Salma. She was superb and the car looked better than the pictures. I was very pleasantly surprised at the service. When I found a car that I liked, I was expecting them to not be transparent about the vehicle and then was shocked when they allowed me to take the car to a Lexus dealership for a complete Pre-Purchase inspection. No other dealership would allow such a request. I would highly recommend working with Salma and Indy Motors, you will be surprised at the service they offer and the delightful attitude of the sales team. Again, ask for Salma!

Literally the worst car experience of our entire lives (check their Facebook reviews) after buying…read morea car from them. We immediately had to drop at least $10,000 of work into it in THE FIRST MONTH. Since then we've had to put another $10,000 (still in the first 6 months). I UNDERSTAND cars have issues but we have not gone ONE WEEK without a MAJOR issue since buying this. The work we've had done in the first 6 months -new battery -new spark plugs(this was needed after Indy motors did work on it and did it incorrectly. It caused us to stall out on a major highway in Chicago) -new fuze box -new pistons and lifters -(Indy motors did this and it's already Broken & needs replaced- the shop said they did awful work) -suspension system -transmission (was needed literally the DAY we got it back from the initial repair at Indy motors) -new fuel gasket -exhaust bolts -struts -bad wiring -The Throttle Actuator -grill actuator -mass air flow sensor -catalytic converter- -new tires bc they put on 15 yr old tires on a 7 yr old car They are a complete scam (check their Facebook reviews) and I would not recommend them to anyone. The 2017 suburban we bought looked pristine and ran well on the test drive & three days later it was dead and since then it's been NON STOP problems. They have since ghosted us. They stopped replying & won't answer us. We also recently had a tire POP (again putting my kids in danger) and when we took it to the tire shop they said "where did you get this thing, it has 15 year old tires on it." The car is only 7 years old... Indy motors did fix the initial problem (which is now broken and they said it was done incorrectly and used "junky parts" ) ALSO when the car was delivered back to us from being at Indy motors it immediately needed a new transmission (like the same day we got it back) They have enough bad reviews on Facebook just like this, I'm not the only one. I've asked and asked for a full refund and have been ghosted. When we initially asked them to buy the car back they only would give us 15 for it after we bought it for 22. Make it make sense. They are dishonest, and have put my family in danger more than once. I honestly do not know how they sleep at night scamming young families and putting children in danger. I am almost confident that they KNEW this car was in a flood/ messed with the VIN/ didn't inspect it at all. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

After an unexpected mishap with my vehicle, I've found myself in search of new wheels over the past…read morethree weeks. Having now acquired a new car, it's time for me to document my experiences in the search from the perspective of being a driver with a disability. I was doing an active online search and found a vehicle I'd been intrigued by at Carmel Auto Gallery. I'm a wheelchair user, though I've never actually driven a van (the stereotype). Instead, I drive a 2-door automatic with enough room that I can slip the folded wheelchair into my backseat. When I was younger, finding such a coupe was easy. These days, it takes a lot more work. I had arranged with a friend that they would drive me around to check out some vehicles at area auto places. I added Carmel Auto Gallery to my list. This Carmel Drive auto dealer specializes in used cars with clean titles. They also appear to finance, though I did not get to that point. They have a front parking lot. The actual cars are off to the side, though you're supposed to go in. There's someone who works the front counter, and there appears to be 3-4 associates to the side. We originally missed the front entrance thinking we'd access the lot in the back. Nope, that's their service center and there's no thru-way. As there was no accessibility via the outside (there is via the inside), we went inside and asked for a specific vehicle. You could tell it befuddled them a bit - I get that. I'm amazed at how many people don't realize a wheelchair user can drive. I was hooked up with Mustafa. He brought around the specific car I was interested in and left it running. To his credit, he wasn't high pressure and gave us time to look at it and for me to test the wheelchair. I'm not fond of the whole side lot arrangement. I think freedom to look is fairly basic. But, this isn't the only place that does that (CarMax is way more obnoxious about it). I ultimately decided this wasn't the car for me, though I was pleased to learn it would actually work with the chair. I explained what I was looking for - I was a bit disappointed that no other 2-door automatic was mentioned (I'd checked in advance - they had them). I was also a little disappointed with the "we'll keep our eyes open" comment, though they didn't bother to get my contact info. My "gut" feeling is they didn't actually realize I was a serious buyer with the cash in my pocket at the time. I was VERY serious. Blown sale. Would I return here? Maybe. It wasn't good. It wasn't bad. No one was rude, and I certainly didn't have a bad experience. I just felt like there was a lack of effort and some disability stereotyping. This was definitely out of my way, and I can't say the experience made me want to go out of my way again in the future.

If 0 stars were an option, that's what I would give. Stay away from this place and especially from…read morethe salesman Matt! I originally shared my experience with Carmel Auto Gallery on Google but somehow the dealership managed to get my review removed, whether they hired a reputation-management team or used some other con method, I honestly don't know. What I do know is that my review didn't just mysteriously disappear on its own. Thankfully Yelp gives me another place to share what happened without the dealership being able to conveniently erase my experience! Since posting my original review, the vehicle I purchased has actually been repossessed and after everything I went through, all I received from Carmel Auto crew was basically we're sorry, we sincerely overlooked this and don't know how this happened type of response. So for anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership I'd like to explain exactly what happened, respond to the owner's claims and warn y'all about the important catches and fine print you absolutely need to know before signing anything. My husband and I don't have perfect credit, so we knew getting financed might not be easy we were completely upfront about that from the beginning. We had money for a down payment and a vehicle to trade in. After filling out the application link, Matt called and told us we been approved, we were excited. My husband wanted to know the exact terms before coming in, so we spoke with finance guy Arielle. The terms weren't great, but we needed a car and agreed to it. We were specifically told to bring $2k plus our trade-in car. We came in on the day Matt told us to, only to find out the FINANCE MANAGER that we had talked to wasn't there. Instead, we were told the SALES MANAGER would handle the signing and that everything including terms would be exactly as discussed over the phone. The sales manager was very nice to us, but once we started going through the paperwork it became obvious that he had absolutely no idea what actually been discussed with us prior over the phone. First the amount down was different. It was a little more which we were willing to deal with. Then toward the end I suddenly found out there were a bunch of additional bank stipulations that they had never mentioned to my husband. On top of that, we were told that we had to purchase additional bundle appearance protection plan and GAP insurance in order for the bank to approve the deal, which added another $3k to the original price given a few days earlier. These were presented to us as requirements of the financing and not optional products! We later learned from the bank officials that these products were not actually mandatory, which made the whole situation feel even more disappointing. At that point, even the sales manager basically told us he didn't know because he was "just doing the signing of the preapproval"...so our sales guy Matt was brought into the room. That's when Matt told us straight to our faces that they had decided not to take our trade-in after all because they could only give us wholesale value and we would be "better off selling it on Facebook marketplace or privately". so apparently that decision had already been made, but nobody thought it was important to tell us before we drove there and started signing paperwork blindly. It got even worse! Matt told us that because my credit score was better, the loan should be under my name, even though I'm a stay-at-home mom and my husband is the one who works and earns the household income. He then told me that the bank would call me for a phone interview and that I basically just needed to agree with the questions they asked, he insisted that this was "completely normal and standard" because otherwise we wouldn't get approved, this put a lot of pressure on us, at one point we almost walked out but he calmed us down. Well, the bank did call few days later. They started asking questions about my employment my and husbands income and who the vehicle was actually for. I was not comfortable lying to a bank, so I answered honestly. Long story short, the vehicle was repossessed because the information submitted to the lender bank apparently did not match reality. The household income had been drastically increased and I was expected to confirm that I was the one working and earning that income, etc etc. I'm not risking being accused of bank fraud just because a salesman wants to close a deal. Stay away from Matt at all costs. In my experience he will use his charm and say whatever he needs to say to get a vehicle sold, even when what he is telling you changes completely once you're already sitting there signing paperwork. The one positive thing to come out of all of this is that the Mazda we bought turned out not to be in great shape anyway. We found out it apparently hadn't even been properly inspected, so honestly, maybe the whole deal falling apart was a blessing in disguise and for the best in the end

I brought it in for the first issue and was told it needed a new ground cable because the original one had melted. After that repair, I was assured the problem was fixed. However, the vehicle broke down again at 3:00 AM while I was on my way to work--due to the same issue. This leads me to believe the problem was never properly resolved the first time. Since then, I have experienced a complete lack of communication. My calls are being ignored, no one is returning my messages, and I am not receiving any updates regarding my vehicle. I have never had issues with this company before, but this experience has been extremely disappointing. I regret not taking the time to review customer feedback prior to purchasing. I refuse to continue making payments on a vehicle that repeatedly breaks down, especially when service staff are not properly addressing the issue or communicating with me. This situation is unacceptable. I expect accountability, transparency, and proper repairs--not assurances that work has been completed when it clearly has not. I am requesting immediate contact and a clear resolution to this matter.
