I paid $10,000 CASH for a 2011 Mercedes ML350, plus $1,000 for a so-called "warranty" that was completely useless. The SECOND they got my money, the friendliness disappeared. The car was never detailed, had no gas, and wouldn't even start when I picked it up. I was told "don't worry, it's just a diesel." That was a lie. The car broke down multiple times THAT SAME DAY. I had to PAY for my own tow while they dodged every question and gave me a ridiculous "code" to start the car. They swapped out the starter but ignored everything else that was wrong. I had starting issues, an oil leak, and electrical problems. They kept my car for WEEKS, pretending to work on it, only to say they "couldn't figure it out." When Mercedes finally looked at it, they found over $14,000 in repairs needed -- things Indy Wholesale either knew about or didn't care enough to check. I purchased a car online (asking price) and the salesperson / team was great but that is where this company stops being helpful or kind. I've have purchased plenty of used cars in my life, all have turned over the title quickly and without incident but not Indy Wholesale Direct. It should never take a car dealer longer than 30 days maximum to give the buyer the title to the car they purchased. It took Indy Wholesale Direct, over 2 months to finely produce the title. When my temp tag expired, I ask for an extended temp tag and they refused leaving me with a car I couldn't drive. I did not receive my title till after I registered a complaint with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles. It got to the point where I was on the verge of contacting a lawyer. Furthermore, I think it is fair to note, I myself work in the corporate world with customers of my own and I would never treat them the way I was treated in pursuit of a title. The title department (Britney) is seeming just unhelpful. When I asked to speak with the GM (Aaron) he only yelled at me for annoying him and when I politely asked him to lower his voice, he informed me he was only at a 2. I would hate to be on the receiving end of his 3 let alone 10. To summarize: I have such buyer's remorse, not because of the car I purchased but the customer service I received and in getting the car and the title from Indy Wholesale Direct. Absolutely Unprofessional -- Buyer Beware! If I could give Indy Wholesale Direct zero stars, I would. My experience with this dealership has been nothing short of frustrating, disappointing, and unacceptable from start to finish. On May 2, 2025, I visited their lot and viewed a vehicle that they claimed had gone through a "detailed inspection" before being listed for sale. However, during my visit, I immediately noticed that the radio wasn't working. When I raised this concern, the staff downplayed the issue and reassured me that it was an easy fix -- they even stated it could be taken care of within a week. Based on that promise, and because the contract explicitly stated the radio would be repaired within 30 days, I went ahead and purchased the car that same day. Big mistake. Instead of allowing me to take the car home, the dealership asked to keep the car so they could handle the repair quickly. One week passed. Then two. No updates. No returned calls. After being completely ignored, I had to physically show up at the dealership to get any answers. Only then was I told there was a backlog with repairs, and I could take the car home until it was my "turn." Already frustrated, I agreed. Another two weeks go by. Still no repair, and we were now past the 30-day window stated in the contract. So, I returned the car to the dealership again, with the understanding that the radio part was being shipped and the issue would be resolved in three days. The car was purchased on May 2 and as of June 13 still No radio. No updates. No car. Not a single courtesy call or follow-up. The general manager is completely unprofessional. When I finally went back in person to speak with the General Manager, I had to wait over an hour for him to even show up. The lack of urgency, communication, and customer care is appalling. Took car in numerous times only to be lied to about what was wrong and repairs being done properly. Aaron, the GM, has not returned calls or emails and had me wait in his office for 3 hours only to be told I couldn't cancel the loan after speaking the loan company. He also said he wouldn't help with my car if I made complaints to BBB or attorney general, which is my right as a consumer. Disgraceful! I was sold a car for $15,000 and was told that it needed a catalytic converter and that they would fix it prior to the purchase. I was unaware that IWD put an aftermarket (generic) part in the car that did not adequately fix the issue. IWD agreed to replace it a second time, but after having the car for over 22 days in their garage, they replaced it with another substandard part that failed again within a few days. At this point they stopped communicating and responding, which forced me to have the car repaired somewhere else at the cost of $2,500. In addition, the car needed several other repairs that "passed" IWD's inspection. So far I have had to put $8,000 in repairs into this car within the first month for it to be safe and reliable. I am not sure how they continue to do business in this manner. Please check the BBB complaints/reviews for an informed decision before purchasing a car from here. In addition know that their standards for quality are very low and will fix a car just enough to get it out the door and then it is your problem. PLEASE READ AND TAKE MY ADVICE SERIOUSLY. THIS COMPANY IS SO SHADY AND CAN'T BE TRUSTED. First I want to explain the details of my experience, please read to the end as I will share some insight on a situation that I didn't know about prior to this past week. I bought a 2013 Subaru WRX from them 2 years ago (Nov 2023). I went this past weekend to trade the car in and the first thing they did was run the CARFAX. This is when I learned about there being a total loss due to an accident reported on the car back in 2016. During making the deal I specifically recall wanting to pull the CARFAX, but the salesman (Daniel), instructed us to "not spend our money" and that he had a report to show us on hand. We reviewed the report which showed 1 previous owner (I now know it was actually 2 previous owners) and OF COURSE, no accidents reported. I will say, it is my own fault for not listening to my gut instinct to pull the CARFAX. Now, during all of this investigation I have learned that vehicle history reports vary widely, I did not know this before so definitely something I am taking away from this awful experience. Do your due diligence and PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THEM WHEN THEY SHOW YOU A REPORT. As the GM, Aaron, would say- "be a better buyer" and PLEASE pay the $50 for the CARFAX, and while you're at it- you can also get a free AutoCheck report via Experian on the Access Indiana website. Just create an account and you get 5 FREE reports per year. There is also the NMVTIS (National Motor Vehicle Title Information System) which you can pay a small fee around $5 for a free 7 day trial to get 100 reports. Now I'm not saying the car isn't in decent condition because we didn't have issues until 2 years later (there are unfortunately numerous other people on these reviews saying they had serious issues after buying) but at the very least - know what you're getting yourself into prior to purchasing so you're not shell-shocked when you try trading it in. Because when you try to confront them and ask what they know and how to fix it, they will get defensive and claim they know nothing and they're "not required to disclose a total loss status if it has a clean title" oh, and they want to try to make another deal and get me in something else. HA, NO THANKS!!! I will gladly take my business elsewhere. But hey IWD- WHY DON'T YOU BE BETTER BUYERS AND KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE SELLING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. CROOKED LIARS I bought a vehicle and had transmissions problems 1 month after purchase. I called them to ask if they had any warranty, or what to do. I talked to John, and he said to buy the extended warranty and they would cover it, he said that is why they sell the warranty for 90 days after purchase and if they didn't cover it to call him and he would reach out to his contact and get it covered (I called him and he did nothing). He said we sell so many of these that they take care of us. So I bought it and a few days later the vehicle really messed up and got check engine light and the xmission was not doing good. I took it to a dealership and they contacted the warranty company with the fixes it needed. They sent out an inspector and denied the claim. The inspector said it was a pre-existing condition and the place I bought it should fix it. I contacted the GM (Aaron) and he said he would make a call to the warranty company. He told me if I got it to Indy wholesale it would be covered. I paid the dealership to put it back together and got it to IWD. They had it for 3 weeks and did nothing. Said it wouldn't duplicate the issue. I went to pick it up and drove it 5 miles and it did it again, so I took it back. Then Patrick told me to my face the warranty company would cover it. Come to find out they didn't cover it at all and I was to pay a portion of it. I assume IWD ate the rest to try and not get ANOTHER bad review as I talked to the warranty company and they said they didn't cover any of this cost at all. We tried to contact the GM Aaron several times, and he wouldn't even call or return an email. He is an absolute LYING COWARD and I can't believe someone would employ him to run anything, let alone a dealership. SO, I had 3 contacts at IWD an they all LIED TO MY FACE. Do some research and don't read the reviews on their website as they probably control those. I lost thousands of dollars (over 7K) thanks to these liars, I don't want that to happen to anyone else. We were very disappointed with this dealer. We had been communicating with this dealer for a week. The car we were interested in was not as described. We drove 2 hours to see and test drive the car. The car interior was scratched, dirty, door handles were broken, all of the trim and finishes were dull and sticky, the glove box handle was broken off and there was dog hair in the car! There was also a coolant light on when we test drove it. They were deceptive with the description of the car. They told us that all convertibles have interiors in that condition due to the sun. I recently financed a Camaro from them and it could've been better. The positives are that everyone is nice and they have a nice lounge and lots of cars! Now for the downsides. If it wasn't as short of a finance, I would've found a different dealer. I came in, took a test drive and immediately found things wrong with the car. The clutch grinds when reversing. A headlight was out, the trunk doesn't open. Possibly losing power steering as well. Maybe the salesman didn't know anything about these cars but at that point, someone else knowledgeable should've shown this to me. He claimed that the steering is tight because of the performance package. That is not true. When this happens, it is a power steering issue if not also another thing. I mentioned the grind and he didn't say a word. Didn't tell me anything about the car whatsoever. I feel like they just wanted to get rid of it. It's a nice price for what I can afford which is what led me to this car. Not even the speed as I wasn't aware it would be that fast. But for the problems it has, they should've haggled with me. I tried and only got some taken off because of a deposit. If a dealer won't haggle when they know all of the problems it has, I can't trust them much. They also wouldn't give me a warranty claiming that it's too old...yet they had me sitting there for hours trying to get approved for insurance for the "old" car that they wouldn't approve warranty for. They definitely made sure I did my part vs the other way around. Overall, they have nice newer cars. But I would try out different salesmen and find someone that is knowledgeable about the car you want or you'll be like me. Kind of satisfied but not really. I'm going to have to put some money into this car that they should've at least took off of the overall cost. Especially since this was a trade in, I'm sure. Why accept a trade in with problems? Bought a car for my 16 year old daughter, so first car. 2014 Mini cooper with 75,000 miles. The car needed some repairs and I brought it to my mechanic and produced the list to Dimitrie and Val asking if they would take money off of the car or fix the issues. They agreed to fix them. One issue was an oil pan leak, the pan was patched and not replaced leaking oil all over my driveway. They called me and said all repairs were completed. I paid cash for the car. 6 weeks after the car was purchased it stopped running. After further inspection from a mechanic I was told the timing chain was in pieces and the engine would need to be replaced. I spoke with Aaron the manager and was told I could have the car towed at my expense to the dealership and pay them to purchase a used engine and install it. He spoke down to me and was unsympathetic refusing to acknowledge they had basically taken over $11,000 for a defective vehicle. I purchased a 2014 Chevy cruise from this place last November. Dainel the salesman said it had the servicing just completed which was a total lie. I should have known and inspected it more thoroughly. The tires were bad and he said the low pressure light happens when someone rotates the tires. A month after the purchase, I had to get all new tires as two of them blew out. The defroster doesn't work in the front as the actuator is stuck in vent mode. Date of transaction: July 15th 2023 Before we even made it home the air bag light came on leaving me with no airbags in an accident. The first week the brake pads had to be replaced. The tire sensors flash constantly starting July 30th. The transmission is shot, gave out on august 19th, 2023. Towed to a Buick dealer august 26th 2023, paid $181 for the tow. The roof is leaking and the interior is soaked. First noticed August 9th. Second time was after the rain August 25th. Thank God we bought the warranty but it doesn't cover everything as they say and we are left paying $750 minimum when it's done. The vehicle is still in shop and now the temporary plates are expired. The local dmv has no record of registration so I can't even pay additional fees for my plates on top of what the dealership charged to "plate and register" it. Go somewhere else or get a lawyer that deals with these situations because Indy Wholesale Direct is as shady as it gets and absolutely does not care about their customers after the sale. read more

This place is all about making a sell and that is. I highly recommend you don't buy from them. Took one car on test drive and shifted hard. Was told the warranty would cover it. Then test drove another car. Keep in mind they keep in the city so really can't test drive it good. So I purchased the second car I test drove. Drove it home on the interstate and rode like a log wagon. Took it to my mechanic he found it had a small oil leak from a gasket. Three bent rims and two bad tires. I called and talked to CJ the manager and was willing to look into for me. Since that phone call we have not spoken on the phone just through text. I call I get voicemail. He said since we bought it as is nothing he could do but is willing to talk about options, through text keep in mind. He also stated we had an option to get a third party inspection done on it but that was not told to us through the whole day we spent there. Words from his mouth during a phone was they only do a safety inspection and look for lights on that are on the dash. There was also some cosmic damage that I wanted fixed before purchasing but there answer to that was giving an $1,000 more on trade bc they didn't want to deal with it. Also while in the dealership two customers brought there cars in for warranty repairs both looked unsatisfied about the outcome of it. My husband purchased a car (2013 Chevy Equinox) and warranty from Indy on 12/14/21 and I have had nothing but issues. $12,000 for the car, $2000 for the warranty. The car does not hold oil. He has tried trading the car in and they all tell me the car is junk and not even worth $500. I have taken the car to multiple mechanics and they all tell me the same. The Car is currently sitting at Roger Dean Chevrolet waiting on a response from Gordon Barnes to go ahead with the repairs. -Initially Integrity warranty denied my claim because they stated the car was driven without oil and needed a new engine and transmission. I got the oil changed on the car a little over a month after purchasing it (01/19/22). - Not even a month later, the car was taken to Wilson's Automotive where they had to add oil. Wilson's Automotive would not work on the car and stated Indy knew this car was in bad shape when they sold it to me and they never should have sold me the warranty either. "Typical used care dealer scam" You will also find that letter in the attachments. -Gordon stated if I got the car fixed (new engine and transmission) he would then work with me on trading the car in. - I was in contact with Gordon Barnes from Indy Wholesale, and he was able to get the warranty approved but I would still owe $4,000 in labor. At this point, I'm in $16,000 for a car that's not even worth $500 and currently sitting at the shop because it's not drivable. Gordon was given the estimate for labor and said the car is no longer their responsibly. We gave him every opportunity to fix the situation and they didn't. I am so disappointed that a business would treat a Disabled Veteran this way. My friend (Navy Vet) really wanted to have a Jeep like she drove before her stroke. Over the last two years she had several surgical procedures and therapy and an extensive exercise routine. And she felt ready to get herself a Jeep. After driving to multiple dealers, she found a jeep online she liked at Indy Wholesale Direct in Carmel, Indiana. I rode with her for 4 hours to see if she wanted it. She did and she bought it. About 60 miles down the road towards home she realized she had left her handicapped placard in the car she traded in so she pulled over and called back. The man that answered the phone assured her they would mail it to her. About a week went by and she called to see why she didn't have the placard yet. Along with mobility limitations the stroke left her with some trouble communicating and she gets frustrated, stutters, and can't always find her words. The call was really hard for her. She asked me to call for her so for several days I called every day and got to leave messages on multiple different voicemails. I asked to speak to management but he doesn't return voicemails either. I did speak to one person that said he had given the placard to the salesman on November 5th. Then my friend called up there and the lady told her that I had spoken to the salesman and we had figured it out. That was not true. So I called and was told the card had been put in the mail on the previous Monday. It never arrived. She got run around, lied to and ignored. All that needed to happen was for one of them to put a piece of plastic covered cardboard in an envelope, stick on a stamp and mail it. Or apologize for losing it, or throwing it in the garbage, or whatever they really did with it. I am terribly disappointed to see haw how upset, powerless, and angry the situation made her feel. After my friend's mechanic fixed the 4 wheel drive that did not work when she bought it, and the hole in the fuel line, she likes the Jeep. I'd say if you are extremely confident of your ability to check a vehicle over for problems, sure you will not need any kind of follow-up with the staff, and you are not a Disabled Vet it might be an ok place to shop. And if you are from Illinois remind them not to just put the license plates from your trade in on the newly purchased vehicle. Couldn't imagine I would've been in this situation when I was first reading the bad reviews on Yelp, Google, Etc but yet I went against my gut and bought a truck from them excluding the bad reviews from thought, I purchased a Tacoma from them. 130,000 miles, very clean, excellent condition as it seemed, the truck seemed solid. The truck was sold for 13,000 as a 19 year old just graduated from high school that was a lot of money for me so I put the 5000$ down and financed the remanded of the money due on the car as I drive back to Michigan to enjoy my new car from the "honest and sincere" people from Indy wholesale the car drove fine no problems until 1 month ago approximately 5 months after I purchased this 130,000 low mile 2004 Tacoma with a 2,500 warranty on top of bringing it to a grand total of 15,500$ my power steering goes out, I call Indy no response until a mechanic kindly talked it through and the rusted out power steering rack for 700 wasn't covered by the warranty. I go to Toyota to undercoat my frame and take care of the rust and they tell me the car is not safe for the road I shouldn't be driving it, the rust under the driver and passenger seat is eroding and can collapse under pressure which would ultimately result in injury to the people sitting in the driver and passenger seat they quoted me 16,500 for a new frame I still owe 10,000 on this vehicle which puts me a total of 26,500 in the hole to fix the truck and have it drivable like they advertised it. Toyota refused to help as they already replaced the frame in 2012 so it is on the Dealership Indy Wholesale Direct according to Toyota.I called Indy AGAIN and like last time they AGAIN took multiple days and multiple calls to even speak to someone who could discuss this subject. I'm sure they have been in this situation before, Gordon the other boss who wasn't on "vacation" or away said the car is sold AS IS in the state of Illinois. Like I mentioned I am only 19 years old, I drove 5 hours there and back to go purchase the truck I've wanted for a very long time and have only owned the car 6 months out of the 4 years I planned to finance it. Personally I believe any truck or car you buy from a dealership should last longer then 6 months especially if you got a warranty and still paying the car off. Maybe even a little more especially because it's a Toyota Tacoma as they are know for being one of the most reliable cars ever made. So I plead to you New or Used car buyer please stay away from these people they will only add to the unlimited stresses that already come along when buying a new car, heed this warning for it could be you who is now 26,500 in debt read more

Took my car back to Indy Wholesale because that is where I bought it . It is a sports car and stopped shifting. They had it for over four months. I would call and nobody could find it. Finally found it and 6 weeks later I pick it up with the engine light on and filthy. I had just had it detailed before I took it in. DO NOT BUY or HAVE A REPAIR DONE there. read more

Everything started out well enough, staff was friendly and we let our guard down. Was not allowed to take car on test drive overnight to get it evaluated by mechanic friend and we both work during the day. Ended up trusting them and brakes started squealing 2 weeks after purchase. Turns out needed new brakes and new tires. Out $2,000 before our first payment after being forced into this situation by a drunk driver hit-and-run. Don't trust them to do the right thing, clearly cutting corners. read more

DO NOT BUY HERE! This dealership lied straight to my face and said they had fixed the vehicle prior to my purchase. I had to pay over $3,000 in repairs within 2 months of buying. They are dishonest and there is nothing "wholesale" in their pricing. Hurried through the paperwork, didn't take my down payment and threw in their worthless warranty. Buyer beware- they are not a reputable dealer. Just look at the negative reviews here and don't take a chance. This place is a joke read more

I was looking for a car for the first time in 7 years and saw one on a website that I absolutely loved! The ad brought me to Indy Wholesale Direct, which made me regret ever even thinking about buying a car in person. When you first pull up, you are greeted by a warehouse with a few small doors, no clear indication of which was is the entrance. When we found the entrance, we were greeted by a man at a fold out table asking for us to sign in, which I regret doing legitimately. I had an appointment to meet with someone, who didn't acknowledge me for the first ten minutes we were together except for a "playful" insult. He only spoke to the man with me, my stepdad, who I only brought along because he was interested in looking around at what they had. The man made a weirdly sexist and personal comment about his wife, who I feel deeply sorry for. First he had to "find" the car I wanted to look at. Once he returned 15 minutes later, we were brought to a vehicle that looked nothing like the photos. With loads of moderately sized dents and scratches, this car was up on jacks being worked on. Every car we looked at after that was over priced, when I did actually like one, they said that it was already purchased but they forgot to take it out of the warehouse. While looking at a car that I had seen on their website, the man guiding us around made a racist comment about the detailing staff being "dumb mexicans" unable to learn english and therefore doing a bad detailing job. I thought the car looked fine. I should have looked at the reviews for this place a lot more seriously, because I would not recommend coming here for anything. read more

Where to start, bought a low mileage 2010 honda element for just under 18,000 which is about 5,000 over blue book value but low mileage meant a lot to me. Car was delivered late due to one issue after the next. First day - Now hold on here is where it gets good. *Oil not changed, *three different kinds of tires (dry rotted). *serpentine belt frayed and split, *lower ball joints bad, *intermediate shaft is leaking, as well as *both front axles have no grease in them. Vehicle cannot be driven with cruise because it shakes so bad. To accelerate you have to drive very slow or it shakes and shimmies. Car is now parked as I now have $20,000 and still don't have everything fixed and don't feel safe driving it. Sent paperwork and pictures dealer says they will help out but usually just get one communication from them per day to my two or three times asking per day for help. The man said that if they would have fixed all of that then I couldn't have afforded the vehicle lol. So they say they do something like an 11 point check - guess they just check and don't fix anything. They say they can't figure out what they want to do and keep dragging it out. I am sick to my stomach over this mess. I will spread the word loud and far about this dealer so that maybe I can save someone else from this nightmare. Oh ya and the pictures they take lol lighting this car looks nothing like the photos. Nicks, scratches, clear coat gone in areas, nasty dirty seats, plastic all tore up. This company is an all new level of low. Please stay away don't deal with these people. Thursday May 15th was the first email and today is May 24th and so far all I have are dead words, no action. I needed a good vehicle to take my husband for his cancer treatments and now, well it was all for nothing and Im making payments on a yard ornament. Take a look at the Better Business Bureau also I left a review on there along with many others. When I find more places to leave reviews, I will do so. It's been suggested to me to go to the newspaper, so I'm gonna check that out. If you've been shafted by these people and done wrong, do everything in your power to leave bad reviews maybe we can save some other poor soul. read more

purchased my 2014 Buick enclave in May 2023 within the first day of having it the power steering pump went out. I got a little bit of a run around before they fixed it a week later in August my air conditioning line broke. I took it in after being told it was covered under warranty by Aaron, but then was told it would take two months to order the part and it wouldn't be worth it because it wouldn't be hot. No more like a fool. I listen to them and now here I am in March trying to have my warranty work done but I am being told that since Aaron no longer works there that my air-conditioning line is not covered under my warranty , I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and kept myself from writing a review when I first purchased my vehicle, but I would not recommend them to anybody.
