I heard about this group a year ago from a friend, but decided I couldn't invest in this aspect of the "journey" when all other time and resources were going towards the treatments. As the year went on, and more failed treatments occurred, and more and more ladies told me about this group... I finally decided to take the leap! It was time to invest in my own mental well-being! I am so beyond grateful I did and fully believe the timing was serendipitous as well because the ladies in my group have become my sisterhood. We chat on the daily and they all support & listen with not a single ounce of judgement. I learned so much from Victoria during our sessions and I'm finding myself putting the tools into action for my every day life. I found this group through Instagram. I followed for a while but didn't pull the trigger on joining one of their groups. About a year later, after having an unsuccessful round of IVF, I decided it was time. I'm so glad I finally said yes! This group has made me feel like I'm not alone and there really are people in the world, that aren't a dr, who understand what infertility is all about. The other women in the group are incredible! There was such a diverse background of problems people are dealing with. Each week's session brought us closer together and I feel like I have definitely made some life long friends. The topics in each session were spot on in helping provide support through this crazy journey. I met Victoria through a mutual friend, and instantly felt a strong connection because of what we had in common. I started to follow her fertility journey on IG, and saw the many women just like me, thankful for Victoria and her utter realness. Fast forward a couple years, I signed up for the 2nd group and honestly had no idea what to expect. Walking into a room full of women that are present for the same reason is powerful on its own. Then the sharing began, and I knew in that moment how much I needed this. The whole infertility experience is so hard and taxing as it is, and then we're subjected to baby announcements or baby shower pics every time we logon to social media. It's a lot to say the least. Having this group of ladies definitely helps ease that pain. There is so much wisdom, love, compassion, and guidance in every meeting. My heart felt full after each one. A friend recommended this support group to me but I wasn't able to make it to Newport in time. Thanks to Covid it moved virtual and I signed up. So glad I did. I found so much support and encouragement. Victory, who leads it does such a great job facilitating and loving on each women in what she is going thru. I went from having 1 to 15 women that "get it". This review is well overdo. Most likely because it's hard to find adequate words to describe how special this program is. I stumbled upon Infertility Unfiltered when I was in a very low and sad place in my journey. The comfort & connection I found from Victoria and the other women in my group is unparalleled. So much so that I drove down the 405 from LA in traffic for 8 weeks just to be with this group (and would do it again in a heartbeat). Infertility can be so isolating and from week one the connection had with the group was incredible. Even though everyone is at very different places in their journeys the common thread between you instantly links you together, a sisterhood. Even on days when I really didn't to make the drive, as soon as I met with my group my attitude and stress would instantly change. What I truly love about the program is that beyond getting all the traditional support group benefits (you'll get plenty of time to share and cry and vent, which is so needed), you also get interesting and helpful educational components - guest speakers, activities, etc. - which make this program so unique. I initially found this group through Instagram and was so thankful I did. Last year I went through the primary series and it was seriously the best decision I ever made. I had finally found a group that knew exactly what I was going through and could relate. I gained such a great community that I could lean on in the very hard times of infertility and IVF. This support group is a game changer. I came into the meeting with slouched shoulders, LOTS of tears, and a fear that it would make me too vulnerable. By the end of the first session, I knew it was the best decision I had ever made in my infertility journey. On the first day, Victoria and Taryn, laid out the ground rules. One of which was that nobody's story was worse or better than anyone else's. This was crucial so we could all find our place in the group, all learn and comfort each other, and that someone early on in the process (me) would feel less vulnerable because I knew I was worthy of being in the group too. There was so much effort and work put into making these groups the most efficient and effective in tackling our infertility grief and struggles. We learned about how to mother ourselves, meditative and yoga basics, marriage and financial support, and a myriad of other things. Less tissues were needed as each week went by. We laugh, we cry, we cuss, it definitely lives up to its name! Eight weeks later, I have 12 new friends that I am constantly in awe of. Infertility Unfiltered is an unbelievably accepting, supportive and kind group for anyone battling infertility. This groups allows you to connect with girls who are going through the same struggles. The courses are led by Victoria, who shares her own stories and pieces of advice, and has done such an amazing job gathering experts around OC to come and speak to the groups. Mindfulness, yoga, therapist, acupuncturist. She's thought of it all! If you are questioning it, do it. If you are nervous, just do it. If you're scared, do it! You will not regret joining this tribe of strong, supportive group of girls! I can't say enough AMAZING things about the group of woman I met since joining this 8 week series. It was life changing for me. I no longer feel alone is this journey. I no longer feel shame and I'm no longer afraid of what the unknown looks like. Being able to share my journey with 12 other woman in a loving, non-judgmental environment was healing. I've never felt support like this. EVER. Victoria and Taryn who founded the group also share in the journey. It's refreshing and comforting to have support of woman who have walked in your shoes. The infertility journey can be isolating and lonely. Honestly I did not realize how much so until I joined this group and realized how lonely I had been. The decision to join this group changed those feelings and my life. I now feel stronger and more determined in our journey thanks to the support and friendship I found in this group. This is not to say the process is easy; it's not. However the group explores difficult topics in a safe and relaxed space. For me, it is so helpful to know that others not only understand the feelings of anger, guilt, regret, sadness, shame and hopelessness but that there is a way out of those feelings. Having gone through two failed IVF cycles, one while in the group, I can tell you that having the support of the group immensely changed my reaction. Of course, we were still devastated but I did not feel alone, I felt completely supported by an amazing group of strong women and that was a game changer. I knew that they understood our pain and disappointment but I also knew that they were encouraging and cheering us onto our next step. Their determination literally kept me going. Victoria's presence is amazing and her authentic approach is refreshing. She tells her journey in a raw and honest manner and welcomes you without hesitation.
