I have been…read moredealing with this company since the beginning of September when we hired them to blast away the calcium from the tile around our pool and to re-level our sandstone rock where our spa spills over a rock waterfall into the pool. They sent one guy out to pull the rock, put it back in place but failed to put it back where the water flowed over the rock surface evenly. The next day Sept 3, a guy showed up to remove the calcium but did not complete the job so now I've got to drop the water in my pool again for him to come back on October 6 to do it again. My pool still is full of mortar, grout sand that this company expects me to run through my system to clean the pool! Aaron, the manager that I have been dealing with has yet to come out and assess the situation himself. His calls and text give only empty promises and lies and no fixes to this mess. Tomorrow I will be calling the Better Business Bureau and the owner to deal with this headache. This company is quick to take your money, but they do not stand behind the workmanship or fixing their problem. So very disappointed! After two weeks of being patient waiting for them to fix the problem, my patients are gone!

This one is, without any doubt, the WORST I've ever had. They started off great and got my pool back to blue after the last company let it just turn green. After a few weeks, however, they quit caring and my pool has been green for weeks (maybe even a couple of months). When I inquired about it, they claimed it was because of all of the plants around the pool. My backyard is landscaped but there's nothing about it that would cause it to turn green. It turned green, in my opinion, because they didn't want to spend the money necessary to keep it blue. Ultimately, I had to fire them because their pool tech started yelling at my housekeeper and got extremely aggressive. He even made veiled threats to me. I will get the money they required that I pay them in advance even if I have to sue them. My advice: DO NOT LET THEM ANYWHERE NEAR YOUR POOL. If I could give less than 1 star, I would give them a negative 5 star rating.

They don't test the pool chemistry. I had zero free chlorine just 2 days after service. The pH was way too high as well as the CYA. The pool was very cloudy one time and they did nothing about it when they came out. I had to call them back to fix their sub-par work. When I confronted them about the dirty skimmer baskets, Jack denied responsibility rather than man up and fix it. Disappointed and Frustrated - Would Not Recommend…read more In 2023, Gary's Pool and Patio installed our pool. While the initial pool installation went smoothly, nearly everything that followed has been a huge disappointment. They recommended a subcontractor named Frank to handle the concrete, coping, and installation of three water sheers--this was a major mistake. The concrete work is wavy and has already started cracking. The pool drain is so tight that it's nearly impossible to remove for cleaning. The cool coat applied was so thin that within just a few months, the base texture and color were showing through. Even worse, the $1,800 water sheers are unusable because they leak. Within the first year, the pool pump had to be replaced. The sand filter leaks. I've been reporting an ongoing water loss issue--200 to 300 gallons weekly, even through the winter months--and despite sharing results of a bucket test with Gary's, I've received no response or assistance. No leak detection, no follow-up--nothing. The Cool Coat had to be completely redone, but neither Frank nor Gary's Pool and Patio would stand behind their workmanship. I asked Gary's to price match the Cool Coat, and they came back $175 higher than other vendors. Financing was also a headache. We caught them overcharging us--an obvious billing error that we had to point out. Toward the end, they wanted us to send them the remaining loan funds (around $5,000) and promised to reimburse us. This raised serious red flags, and we were told, "We do this all the time," as if that should have reassured us. "Pool school" was a joke. We paid to learn how to operate and maintain our pool, yet we were never taught how to set up the lighting programs or salt generator. I had to contact Pentair directly to figure it out myself. Bottom line: Gary's Pool and Patio provides decent service until the final payment is made. After that, you're just a number. We do love having a pool, but if we could do it over again, we'd choose a different company. Don't get swayed by the promise of a lifetime shell warranty or quick installation times. Do your research--Gary's Pool and Patio is not what they appear to be.

On Saturday I asked him to please let me know if he wouldn;t be over on Friday as I always have people over to swim and I am in the pool everyday - he said he would - meanwhile, I'm losing a lot of water in my pool everyday - I can't figure out what's going on - this has been going on for like 2 weeks so I finally walk down to the pump and when Cory cleaned the DE Filter and backwashed the pool he didn't close the valve tightly and water was coming out of the backwash hose. I emailed him and heard nothing - today when I asked him about it he denied it was him but yet he was the only person that had touched the valve - and again - he didn't come on Friday - I called him at 5 PM he said he would clean the pool Saturday - I asked him today Saturday why he didn't just change me to Saturday - he shook his head no and said that I had called him early and that he normally calls at 6 PM if he isn't going to make it that day. lastly - I have DE shooting out into the pool-I tell him about it - he blames it on me and my equipment, however, I know he probably tore a grid. The quality of the workmanship is remarkable, our pool is a very simple rectangle but looks like something you would see in a resort. They will not only build your pool, but you can also have them do your maintenance at a very reasonable price. There is no doubt that Dream Pool Creations takes pride in their work and I would not even think twice about referring them to friends and family. I am a disabled veteran, so I had some requirements to ensure that I can use the pool safely. The owner spent hours with me designing a pool that would fit my needs and make sure I would be safe in the pool as well, this personal touch to already stellar service is something you do not experience often these days. After this process, I was provided with 3-D mock-ups of what the pool would look like in my backyard, which was instrumental in finalizing the design. Work began promptly and the work site was so clean at completion, you would never have been able to tell a pool was just installed. High-pressure sales tactics are not used by this company, they provided me with a fair quote upfront. They will not call you a week later and tell you "If you agree now, we can take 10% off", or "I spoke with my manager and I was told if you sign now, we will give you a discount." We have up graded the skimmers, the pumps even bought a larger system to move the water better. Never waited for anything g to just break, stayed ahead of maintenance and weekly care. NEVER EXPECTED to have chunks fall out of our concrete retaining wall for no apparent reason. And when say chunks, I mean chunks. Such large pieces have failed out, the rebar can be clearly seen. So I do what any responsible customer does, call Cody Pools. The transfer me to warranty department. I explain what has happened and the woman gives me a phone to a masonry person. I call this person, as I was calling, I was thinking to myself, if a customer called me saying chunks of the retaining wall, that a vendor of mine built was cracking out of the wall, I would want to ask that client more questions that I might need to turn over to my Quality Control Department might want to look into. But I guess not. Maybe this is normal for Cody Pools. I know when I called around for estimates I got questioned on "did you say chunks???" But anyway I called the masonry person and he spoke such little English we couldn't understand each other. So I gave up on that vender and started calling around. Needless to say Cody Pools won't be a company I recommend.
