I've been to their…read moreBend restaurant, which is in an old-school building, and their Roseburg restaurant, which is in the old train station. This building is part of the old Imbrie farm, which goes all the way back to the mid-1800s. I've never had a bad meal at McMenamin's. The building is beautiful. It definitely has that "roadhouse" vibe.". I was seated and served quickly. I decided to go with the hokey poke nachos. Which is a seasonal summer dish. It had marinated tuna, poke, (the sauce was amazing, I'm not sure of everything that was in the sauce, but I could taste the sesame oil. it did not overpower anything else on the dish, but I knew it was there.). It also had Chips, Cucumber-Pickled Ginger Tsukemono, which is a Japanese relish, green onions, and sesame seeds, and it had both a wasabi aïoli and a Sriracha aïoli drizzle. asked for the sauces on the side, because I wasn't sure how strong they would be. It was amazing! It was a giant portion. The chips were crispy, and not oily at all, there was a very generous portion of the tender poke. I loved the cucumber relish, and the green onion and sesame seeds also not very well with the Dish. I was pleasantly surprised with the two sauces. I could definitely taste the wasabi, and the aïoli kept it from blowing out my sinuses. I normally do not like Sriracha at all, but again, the aïoli mellowed it out. I put some of the sauces on top of the nachos, and also dipped some of the nachos in the sauces. Next time I would definitely have them on top. I had enough to take back to my hotel for a second meal. The price was very reasonable, considering the quantity of the quality of the food. For great meals at McMenamins, I am now 3 for 3. Thanks again.

But some new things are Hoky Poky, brisket sandwich, and other items. I asked the server and the brisket was the top choice. Ask about the amount of brisket the server indicated plenty. As I was drinking the Sunflower IPA ( real nice ), our orders came. I started eating the Cajun Tots first as usual, then looked at the sandwich. One big question: Where's The Beef!? Huge bun, lots of slaw on top of a few thin deli slices of brisket and you are blessed with the $25 price tag. I took one bite and said NO! The server returned and asked how it was and I politely explained it's not worth the price. The server said they will take it off the bill and took my plate. And asked if I would like something else instead. No, because little dude already finished his hamburger. The server took off the sandwich from the bill. See the photos Server was very nice and pleasantly professional. And provided very good service.

They also usually offer a treat like cookies during the concert too. The kids get to dance in the front and interact with the singers - we saw Ants Ants Ants and Red Yarn. There is no pressure to stay in your seat for those who are wiggly or for baby wearing parents to walk around. Other concerts and events here are super affordable and amazing for the community. We have also taken music classes here in the upstairs art gallery space and I know they have a cool pottery studio in the basement as well. Support the arts!

The stained glass windows and gothic style wood ceiling added beautiful decor for the wedding photos. Located in downtown Hillsboro. They have a private parking lot and street parking available. The venue was clean and well laid out. Bathrooms were downstairs and an elevator available for those who couldn't take the stairs. Kitchen was on the main level, which made the food and beverage setup and service convenient. The wedding was catered and everything was wonderful. I'm not sure how much it cost, but the bride, groom and family seemed very happy. Would recommend.

At first, we weren't sure about the setup--whether to wait for a table or order at the bar--but it was so laid-back that we just found a seat and settled in. One of the things I loved was all the TVs on the walls--there were so many showing different games and the news. I'm not a huge sports fan, but it was really nice having that entertainment in the background while my fiancé enjoyed it too. We came mainly for the gambling machines, but everything else exceeded our expectations. My fiancé ordered our drinks at the bar--he got a Modelo and I had a Boneyard--and they were both excellent. For food, we tried the Cowboy Burger with fries, and wow... it was incredible. I was honestly in awe--it was that good! The service was also fantastic. The staff checked in on us without being intrusive, making sure we were comfortable and happy with our food. Overall, it was a relaxed, fun experience, and we left wanting to come back. We'd definitely recommend Hillsboro Bar and Grill to anyone looking for great drinks, amazing food, plenty of entertainment, and a welcoming atmosphere!
