So finally got fed up, and I called BATH and told Ari what the issue was. He gave me a budget, which I bristled at, at first. Then he walked me through a likely fix, which involved a couple routers networked so that I had independent wifi running on both floors of the house but on the same network. The tech came by and was super nice, and walked me through what they were going to do. I was cautiously optimistic. When they were done? I almost cried at how well everything ran through my house. They even set me up so I had ethernet directly to my gaming PC, and direct into my TV and Xbox. I have not had a single issue since (beside Comcast caused outages), and have blazing fast wifi throughout the house (I pay for the gigaspeed Xfinity). I'm finally utilizing the speed as sold to me by Xfinity. Thanks so much BATH. I really appreciate it. Since they seem to handle a lot of corporate-scale installations, I initially wondered if my project might be too small--but that concern disappeared pretty quickly. The team was already very familiar with Ubiquiti systems and was incredibly patient working with me despite my fairly basic understanding. They walked me through the tradeoffs and ultimately recommended stepping up from mid-range equipment to more professional-grade options. The reasoning was clear, the cost/benefit made sense, and at no point did I feel pressured--just well-advised. The actual Ethernet installation work was top-notch--smurf tubing, recessed (not sticking out!) enclosures, and everything. The level of craftsmanship and attention to detail is honestly beyond what I would normally expect (or even feel comfortable demanding from contractors). They went above and beyond without being asked, and the cable organization is immaculate. Using Yelp Projects, I filled out the repair request, and the bids came pouring in! YY Computer offered to do diagnostics and software install for $100. YY Computer is in Oakland Chinatown on Jackson St. I made an appt, and dropped by in the morning. While I was there, they did a quick check and found the hard drive (HD) to be damaged. They repaired my PC and upgraded my HD to 1 TB. It took about 2 business days. When I went to pickup my PC, they switched it on and show me the new HD. I'm very pleased with my experience. Small parking lot or meters on the street.

As a manager of medium sized construction firm, I am forced to wear many hats. One of those hats is the responsibility for Information Systems. When I needed to build a new network to enable communication between our team members from anywhere in the World, I turned to Info-Gate. Mark and Craig met with me time and time again to design the right system to meet my needs. Once we determined the best soloution, Mark and Craig implemented the purchase and installation beautifully. There were no surprises in the billing either - and that was refreshing. The service I receive from Info-Gate is excellent too. If they cannot fix my issue remotely, they send a technician who actually knows what to do, and will fix the problem without me having to hold hands. They make me feel like I am the most important client they have, they are efficient and available, and are excellent at recommending what needs to be done over the phone. They have remotely 'fixed' my computer several times, and are fabulous with my elderly mother as well. Just wanted to let you know that Matt has been brilliant helping to integrate my office email, calendar, iphone accounts with my personal computer and phone. We definitely had some challenges with iphone synching capabilities but he worked them out as efficiently as possible. I had googled a number of sites just to see what user solutions there were; most had unsuccessful attempts with Apple tech to solve their problems. A few weeks ago, my older Dell made some horrific sounds. Yuan came by, ran tests and informed me that my motherboard was terminal and had about 2 weeks to live.
