She cut my hair short and then tried to use a hairdryer and comb to make it look like the pictures, but it did not work. I showed her the reference photos again and asked if she could get help from someone else. She asked a colleague, who showed her how to cut the style, but she still seemed unsure how to do it. Eventually, the owner had to step in and finish the haircut for me. For a long-hair haircut that cost about $100 total ($85 for the haircut plus a $15 tip), I was very disappointed with the experience. At this price point, I expected the stylist to be able to achieve the hairstyle she had confirmed she could do, or to be upfront from the beginning if it was outside her expertise. Unfortunately, based on my experience, it was not worth the price or time.

I was waiting in line for the croissant next door and that's when I stumbled upon this salon. I've lived in this neighborhood for almost 5years and always wondered about this place but never bothered to look it up and I don't know why I've been sleeping on this place because this place and the hair stylist Passang is it. If you're looking for any hair services, look no further. Passang is such a gem! After carefully reviewing and doing all the researches and asking all the questions, I finally booked an appointment with Passang for a full balayage and a haircut however, since this was my first time going to her, she recommended we do partial balayage as I am trying her for the first time and I was being very nervous after the last few bad hair experiences with my previous stylist, she listened carefully and gave me all the advices and suggestions on my hair. She made sure I was prepared for any outcome that might arise with what I was asking as my previous salon damaged my hair so bad, it was very hard for me to trust anyone doing my hair. Not gonna lie, I was freaking out when I came out of the shampoo bowl and my hair was still kind of dark, but once it was all dry ahhhhhhhhh! This is the best my hair has ever looked and feel. My hair feels so healthy and shiny and you guys can be the judge of how my hair LOOKS! . PASSANG is definitely my hair perfectionist from now on. **Avoid hair stylist Passang at All Costs!** My recent visit to this hair salon, specifically to cover my grey roots, turned into an absolute nightmare thanks to the stylist, Passang. Not only was she exceptionally rude, but she also left my roots a ghastly combination of grey and orange, despite assuring me that she would match my natural hair color. When I confronted Passang about this disastrous outcome, she snapped at me saying that they never guaranteed coverage of my grey hair. Excuse me? So, let me get this straight - I'm supposed to accept the fact that I might leave the salon with grey and orange roots, despite explicitly requesting a root touch-up? This lack of accountability is utterly unacceptable. When I asked for a solution to rectify the situation, Passang's dismissive response was beyond belief - "Oh, this color will grow on you." Seriously? I didn't come here to embrace my grey or orange roots; I came for a professional service that would deliver the results I requested! To add insult to injury, when I attempted to negotiate a fair resolution and suggested paying only half the amount since only half the job was done properly, Passang's behavior became downright hostile. She had the audacity to threaten me, claiming she had my credit card details and would ensure I couldn't get service elsewhere in San Francisco! Is this a hair salon or a mafia operation? Never in my five years of getting hair color service have I encountered such unprofessionalism and humiliation. I just tried this salon because I was looking for ammonia free organic hair salon. I strongly advise against entrusting Passang with your hair - unless you're willing to gamble with the results and endure her appalling attitude. I'm so happy I found Tatyana through Yelp when I was visiting family in San Francisco because since then, my hair has looked and behaved the best it ever has. Plus, I don't have to worry about harmful effects from non-organic products. Tatyana really listened, offered her recommendations, and gave me a great cut. With all the cowlicks I have, it's a rare experience for me to leave a salon without one side being longer than the other. When we discussed what to do with the color, I wasn't initially sure what I wanted. After a couple days of being undecided, I called and asked if I could get back in and go a bit darker with the base and achieve more contrast with the highlights. Tatyana graciously fit me into her schedule before I left SF and I was thrilled with the final result. Although it will be three months by the time i get back out to SF the week of Thanksgiving, I'm planning to hold off on doing anything to my hair until I see Tatyana again. I have gone to Ananda - the makeup artist, for years for makeup advice and application. She's awesome and always makes me look great with out making me look like I'm wearing a ton of makeup! Ananda referred me over Tatyana for a cut and color. I am thrilled with the results! I am vary particular about my color as I am a natural blond that dies my hair a deep red. I have often walked out of salons in tears because of bad dye jobs with bright odd looking roots. My hair looked amazing when she was done, with awesome highlights. A few months back I responded to a sign in Ingenious' window offering a sizable discount on a haircut if I was willing to be a "model." This meant that Passang, my hair stylist, was supervised by Tatyana, a master stylist. It was the best haircut I have had in a very long time, and I especially came to appreciate the artistry and craftswomanship that went into it by listening to Tayana's guidance to Passang. Visited Ingenious for grey coverage and left absolutely thrilled! Adel, my stylist, worked wonders on my hair with a deep conditioning treatment that left it incredibly soft and shiny. This is suppose to be a brunette balayage with a medium length haircut. As you can see in the pics the color job was far from what she asked for and such a horrible job. Elenie had the nerve to post a picture that was obviously edited, on her Instagram. My daughter's hair did not look like what was posted as you can see in the picture. On top of it, she butcher her long beautiful hair and cut it so poorly. The pics show it all. Even when we were speaking on the phone and I was describing how uneven the hair was, she said she can't believe it. So I sent her picture and she called me back right away and said "I totally see what you mean" and offered to fix it but I have no confidence in her. PRAYING IT CAN GROW OUT BEFORE GRAD PICS!!!! I think this was an opportunity to take advantage of a teenager! My daughter was in tears and devastated. Heck, I would be too. The hair can't even be put up on a pony tail because it was cut so unevenly. Tried to get refund but Elenie claimed all the work was in the hair coloring. She offered to give $80 back for the haircut but I asked for the tip back too. My daughter definitely got jipped. Think twice before you book an appointment

I started going to Aki just for washes a few years ago after a surgery when I couldn't fully shower, but it quickly became obvious that she really understood my hair. She offered to do some shaping and added gorgeous layers to my then-long heavy hair, and I was thrilled with the result. I now trust her to do anything and actually just went chin-length (the cliche new-mom chop) because I knew she could make it work! She was able to blend the different textures in my hair in a very face-flattering way, and I can scrunch, air dry, and be on my way -- something I never thought would be possible after years of fighting my texture with blowouts and irons. Thank you Aki! (Her sweet kitty Twinkle is also the cherry on top)

I love Aki! I've gotten my hair cut by her 3 times and it's been amazing every time. I don't like to talk too much at the salon so I also love that she has a tv in front of the chair for shows. Also her cat Twinkle is so cute :)

Decided to get a refresh on my hair and booked a hair tint + hair cut with Tristyn. I wasn't quite sure about the hair tint as Google doesn't quite tell me what it is but I knew I needed a haircut and I wanted to get some color into my hair. Walked into my appointment and Tristyn was so kind and patient with me in going through different options and assessing my hair. Ended up going with a mini highlight instead of tint and I love the results. For the haircut she cleaned up some of the layers and cut off maybe a quarter inch? Final cost was $335 -- $200 for the highlight and $135 for the haircut. There wasn't an option to tip so I'm not sure if the tip was already built into the price?? And from what I can tell this place is credit card only. Overall, I am satisfied with my highlight and haircut. It is a little pricier than what I would usually pay (I think baseline in the city is around $90-$100 for a haircut?) so I would just be aware before booking and prices are listed for most services if you're booking online from their website.
