Came here in the very beginning of this year to get my roots touched up - I had money pieces + the underside of my hair was bleached blonde. I probably had about 2-3 inches of growth at the time of the touch up. Unfortunately my root touch up was just not done very well. My roots turned out to be a completely different color from the rest of my hair (more light brown/orange than the light blonde I had on my rest of my hair), and it was really unblended (there's a pretty clear strip of black hair between the root touch up + my original blonde) I didn't notice when I got out of the salon because I also had a semi-permanent pink color applied on top of my hair so when I left, everything looked pretty uniformly pink. It was only about 1.5 months later when the color fully washed out that I realized how uneven/unblended my roots were from my original blonde. Ultimately decided to write a review after I finally went to another salon to get it all evened out and realized how crazy it looked from the back lol. I've seen pretty great reviews for the person who did my hair regarding blonde/color so maybe this was just a one-off mistake but I don't know that I would recommend coming here for any kind of root touch up/going significantly lighter blonde read more

I was really looking forward to my hair cut and a bit of pampering today but I really was disappointed by my experience here! I had an appointment with Passang and I was really excited to try out a new salon with someone who has experience with Asian hair. Unfortunately, I was underwhelmed! She answered the phone while I was there for a personal call and spent the rest of the time talking about her friend's life... she didn't ask me one question about myself! I'm all for hearing about it, but I felt like it was a bit much for a time where I'm trying to relax. The shampoo and conditioner was super quick, way quicker than any other salon I've been to, and my entire appointment lasted 25 minutes (instead of the 45 minutes advertised). Genuinely the shortest hair cut experience I've ever had! It felt really rushed! Normally, stylist go through and explain what they are putting in your hair but I received no explanation and she didn't even put heat protectant or anything in my hair before blow drying! The blow dry on my hair was super quick as well and really underwhelming... normally I leave with salon quality hair but it looked like I just blow dried it myself. I attached pictures but like this was literally after a 5 minute drive home and it looked like this when I walked out... frizzy and stringy which is kind of sad. For the price, I was really disappointed and expected a lot more out of an $85 hair cut. read more

She toned down my hair to little darker as I previously had light balayage. She was the only hairdresser that said I only needed to tone down rather than starting all over which includes bleaching which I was praying not have to do again. And the result was amazing! I found Passang here on Yelp and had an appointment back in November 2000. It was a time with lower covid rates or some improvement, so I was able to catch the salon open. Thus, my review is severely delayed... On the other hand, I believe it's more reliable given the fact that I am still happy with my hair after several months! :) I included photos from the first day, as well as current time. Passang was very attentive to what I asked for in the texts/messages. She found the hair color tone that I wanted, and was the best color I have ever had. Passang is also very talented in choosing the balayage style that fit each unique person - from what I also in the other photos. She is very kind and professional, yet also friendly and generally shared her meaningful story of becoming a hair stylist :) It has been over 6 months and I still love my hair color. On the other hand, it unavoidably became a bit too lighter than I prefer with the sun (and me not taking good enough care of my color). Thus, I will ask Passang how I can better protect the tone or perhaps a bit darker tone next time.
