So far this place and the employees are okay. I don't know why so many people give 5 stars. I guess they have had more luck with better experience and service than I did. So unfortunately not very consistent. It all started with me calling to place an order for my contacts because they told me I can just call. I had to call 3x within a week because they would tell me every time no one was available and that I would receive a callback. So finally after 3x of calling and trying they finally had someone help me. Some guy named Julian... -_- and it wasn't pleasant placing my order with him. I felt kinda pressured to get a 3 month supply cuz he explained the cost makes more sense than the 1 month supply which I understood but I still felt some annoyance from him even after telling him I only need 1 month supply cuz don't need that many. Okay so next thing, they provide the Marlo site for your orders so I can see when my contacts are shipped and delivered. I requested them to be delivered to the office. I noticed they were delivered on Aug 3rd and it had been 3 days but they never called me to let me know. So yesterday I was in the area and decided to go pick them up but apparently they didn't find them. The lady who helped me I guess wanted to make me feel dumb or I don't know what, cuz even after showing her the Order details and how it's been delivered, she had the audacity to tell me that the delivery date is the shipping date so it hasn't arrived. Well that didn't make any sense! Clearly my contacts had been delivered and was even signed by someone by the name ddiane? Anyways I left cuz they said they will call me when it arrives... then about an hour and a half later they call me and say contacts are ready for pickup because they just got "delivered". Oh really?? What a pleasant experience visiting this office was today. I've been in this shopping center since as far back as I can remember and I've never noticed this lovely office. Also never expected to be blown away by a simple optometry visit, but good service always deserves to be recognized. From my initial phone call to inquire about insurance acceptance, to the patience & courtesy that Ysenia (or Desinia...sorry if the name is incorrect) showed us throughout the entire process. She was extremely knowledgeable & helpful. My daughter was able to find frames that she wanted and the prices were way under what we'd been seeing at other places. They also provide excellent eye care & exams if needed. Truly a one stop shop. Entire staff was top notch. Plenty of parking in surrounding lot. Would definitely recommend. read more

Everything from the moment you walk in to the time you're seen by the doctors makes this one of the best optometry experiences I've ever had. From the eye exam to determine my prescription to the lovely lady (whose name I, unfortunately, forgot) who helped me pick out the perfect glasses, this clinic has earned my full business for as long as I live in the area. They even accepted my insurance and still treated me with dignity and respect, I never once felt looked down on or disrespected, and I really appreciate that. Overall, an amazing experience. I don't even write reviews, but I felt compelled to write this because I'm just thankful. Also, just wanted to add that my turnaround time for my glasses was 4 to 6 weeks and it took no more than two and a half weeks for them to actually come in. 18 days to be exact. I've been wearing RGP contact lenses for over 10 years now and have had difficulties the last 4 years getting the correct fit as many optometrists don't handle these cases as often. My last optometrist found it difficult to find the correct fit I needed. Enter Dr. Mae Lae Louie as she was able to get me to nearly 20/20 on my new prescription on the FIRST fit. He doesn't rush you through an appt. and addresses ever concern as well as takes time to explain so you clearly understands what's going on. Dr. Scolino is the best optometrist I've ever had! He is incredibly patient and answers any questions of concern or curiosity. He is very interpersonal to get to know his patients, and he provides such wonderful and professional care. The staff is very efficient as well, and it's such an amazing office. I had previously visited this office when I had vision insurance and then I became a freelancer and had to pay for my own insurance, so I opted out of vision for the time being. Paying out of pocket was extremely reasonable as I called around other offices to see what they could offer, and it was pretty expensive. This office has the new technology to see in the back of your eye with this nifty camera, so you don't have to get dilated. Knowing that I didn't have vision insurance, Dr. Scolino was very kind and courteous with helping me figure out cost-effective methods for my dry eyes. It's rare to meet medical professionals who also desire to help you save money. This is a shout out of gratitude to Dr. Scolinos for going above and beyond to make his patients happy with their vision. I am not due for my annual eye exam for another 6 weeks but am having very frustrating vision problems in one eye. Dr. Scolinos provided me with a very thorough exam, which left me reassured that my blurry vision is a matter of needing a new contact lens, not something worse like I imagined! Beyond good ! clean like a hospital and plenty of parking, friendly staff, they accept Medi-Cal plans . I took my grand son in and Diana gave him a comprehensive eye examination and explained to him what was going on every step of the way . Then Dr. Frank tested his seeing acuity and made him understand more than I've ever heard from an Optometrist before, , gave us the prescripiton and let Ivan help him choose a new pair of frames and made sure they fit, then he set us up with new lenses in a pair of frames I'd brought in as I think everyone should have two pairs . it turns out my old wire frames were standard so they were able to fit new frames the same day, my grand son is delighted . Since we were there I asked them to re lens another pair of old glasses I had, they're affordable unlike so many other places . I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with this place. Friendly. Very Clean facility. Staff is very knowledgeable. Great selection. They take the time to fit your glasses. They check all the staff's temperature. They have hand sanitizer and provide sanitized pens and etc. I was so impressed I made an appointment for my mom. Turns out she has cataract and glaucoma. She just thought she needed new glasses. The doctor took extra time to explain the condition of her eyes and told her what to do. What eye pressure is and etc? I have been coming to this optometrist for YEARS and just called to get an appointment for my annual check up. Ana, who answered the phone, was not helpful and borderline RUDE. Maybe she skipped her cup of coffee this morning but as she asked for my birthday to pull up my account, she immediately told me that this office no longer accepts my insurance. Ok, fine. Except, I advise her that our company had recently changed vision insurance providers to HealthNet and instead of listening to what I had to say, she automatically passed me off as a MediCare recipient. Let me tell you, her whole attitude changed once I said HealthNet. I work for a company with over 200 employees, while I don't bash anyone using MediCare, this was simply not my case. But instead of allowing me to research my plan and get to the bottom of it, she talked over me, insisting I call HealthNet to figure it out since I couldn't provide the 'member ID'. Mind you, I have a policy number and other identifying information for this plan but once I said HealthNet, she didn't care to hear anything else. As much as I've spent on top of my insurance at this optometrist over the last 5 years, Ana and her ineffectual attitude made it VERY EASY to look elsewhere. I've never experienced this here, the doctors are all amazing. But as the front desk receptionist, the first point of contact for patients, especially returning patients, it's literally apart of your job to ASSIST patients. She failed miserably. I got a text reminder and when I called you say I was more than 10 minutes away, I was informed that that was more than half my appt and I would possibly be asked to wait if the next patient showed.
