Dr. Gaylord was awesome. He's a gentle doctor who really listens, takes his time, and never makes you feel rushed. I saw him today for an eye exam, and he was genuinely cool to talk to. We even discussed optical aberrations -- things like spherical aberration, coma, and trefoil -- and he recommended that I see a specialist for ray tracing. He's actually the first doctor to ever mention this kind of advanced technology to me, and I've been seeing eye doctors since I was a kid. His staff was also great. The woman who helped me pick out new glasses was incredibly honest and helpful. I'm terrible at choosing frames, and she didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear -- she gave real, upfront feedback that made the whole process so much easier. I really appreciated that. Not a good first impression! I been trying to get a hold of them from 1:00 - 1:15 because u couldn't find the location. And the said to be there 15 minutes early and not to get out of my car. So I then decided to get out of my to go see if I can find the location. When walking in to the office lights were off and a sign was posted on the window saying office is closed from 12pm 1pm which I get. But it was already 1:20. So I sat down and waited. No one was around. Until I Herd voices. I got up and tried to get their attention when getting the lady's attention she told me to wait and she will get to me as soon as she was down. She was just playing on her cell phone. Then a man approached me when I told him my appointment was 130 and I was a new patient. He then said well we close the office from 12-1pm and I said we'll it's 1:30 already. I did not want to be seen by such unprofessional place. I would give them 0 stars if I could. read more

Dr Raymond Gaylord was our family optometrist when I was a little girl and Eric was just a baby and now Eric has grown up to become "Dr Eric Gaylord". With the experience and expertise of both of them, you couldn't be in better care. Dr. Raymond Gaylord has been practicing in the community for over 50 years, he never left us and he still treats us like we matter. Very loving and caring doctor. Although I have Kaiser and could go there for my eye care needs, I will not go anywhere else than here. I absolutely enjoy coming here! I appreciate how they are open on Saturdays! (makes it easy to schedule appointments without having to use sick time, since I work weekdays 8-430 basically.) Both Dr. Gaylords are very intelligent, and Dr. Gaylord Sr. is old school, I love his methods. The office assistants are very helpful and Harvey (the lady who helps with frames) is so sweet! Love her, and she's patient. and Yubini is an amazing spirit. I always have a hard time doing the glaucoma test with the air puff into the eyeball machine thingamajig, but Yubini is always patient and helpful and handsome! Update. I didn't listen to other reviews and other family members that said I should stay clear of this place. Well I am certainty sorry I didn't listen I wasted an entire years benefit because of the ineptitude of the staff in this place. I asked very specific questions related to my prescription and exAm benefits prior to making my appointment and following my appointment yet when I attend the follow up visit for my contact lens I was told my benefit was no longer available because I used it at the prior appointment wth?! They asked if I could use the 2016 benefits, umm no I was here a month ago and this follow up is covered under the prior visit since you had to order the contacts according you the person that is now giving me a different story. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE EVER!!!! The building is smelly and dilapidated and the bathrooms are vile. The office I will admit is clean not contemporary and the staff are nice not at all rude however don't give or know the correct information. I am furious read more
