4.5 Stars I've been going to Inika foods for years, I first discovered them at the Farmers Market at the Fort Lauderdale WholeFoods. When they were there I'd always buy some of their Tasty "Gluten" muffins. Then that market became defunct, and I found them again in the Yellow Green Farmers Market. I'd not only get my precious muffins but I would also buy some of their large vegan empanada pies. But then the covetous jack-turd owner of the market started to charge for parking, that's when I ghosted this place. Then I found them again at Vegan Fine Foods in Fort Lauderdale, this was their first restaurant location. But this didn't last long as the owner of the market was fleecing their cash registers. Finally, they opened their own location Inika Foods. I popped in today to check out the location and their menu offerings. I was quite impressed, the menu was loaded with many vegan and vegetarian options from deserts to burgers. I bought a spicy black bean pocket, and one of the twins gave me a cheese dipping sauce, I'm not sure if it comes with it, but she gave it to me. OMG, it perfected the pocket, it was absolutely delicious! To eat any kind of empanada pastry without a dipping sauce is sin. There's a small eating area, but they are going to rearrange the interior to create space for more tables. ~there's limited parking, but there is some street parking if you look around. read more

All vegan food. The day's meals are prepared in advance and kept in a fridge. Kind of pricey. Mainly takeout. There is one small table outside but I've never seen anyone sit there to eat. Just because it is vegan doesn't mean it's good. No, it is outstanding. I had these ladies cater a party for me years ago and they fit the bill. Follow them on Facebook and they will share the daily menu as it changes often. Today, my daughter and I had a variety to choose from. What to get? Peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies, honey cake, red bean cheesecake, dosa curry potato pancakes, puff pastry with cinnamon paste, blueberry muffins and cinnamon rolls. The prices are extremely reasonable. Looking forward to the mac and cheese the next time we make an appearance. There is so much love that goes into this place that you walk out with a piece of it. I plan on buying the dosa curry potato pancakes in bulk and store them in the freezer as a snack. Look to them for any party need and you will come out a champ. read more

I first tried Inika foods when they were selling their delicious vegan food in various farmer's markets. The two main owners are twins, and their mother helps as well - a real family business. They cater as well, and I've been to some parties featuring their food and it is always amazing. So glad to see they finally have a brick and mortar place. We have been buying outstanding vegan food for over 10 years from the family that owns Inika. They have favorite staples on their menu, and they are always offering new appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Yes, this is one of the few restaurants where you can get delicious vegan desserts! Love this place! Natasha and Nicole are awesome and these girls can COOK! I went for the first time with my aunt yesterday and ordered the fried green tomato pizza, chorizo empanada, and a tamarind lemonade (I killed it.....sorry, I forgot to take pictures). It was awesome.....so much that I went back today to buy 2 whole pizza's (one for me and one for my friend who I had to bring to try this place today). They sold out of the pizza however, they had a fried avocado pizza and chorizo pizza. YUM!!!!! THIS PLACE IS SUCH A GREAT FIND! My husband and I are newly vegan (I am a chef myself school trained and debt obtained) so I am super picky about food. Especially going vegan. OMG, this place is small, but it had a huge vegan punch! I was kinda disappointed they aren't purely organic. But the tasty delicious vegan belly prizes they create sure makes up for it. The twins and the momma that run this place are priceless, they always have a smile on their faces! Everything I tasted there was amazing! The ingredients were well balanced, perfectly layered and uniquely delicious. These young ladies really know what they are doing. Definitely a must visit place if you're vegan or if you just want some good home cooked food. From a vegan perspective, there's a wide variety to choose from- like various vegan pizzas and fried buffalo cauliflower, baked goods, some other random yummy ethnic food. If you're non vegan, the food is still good, not super weird vegan food if you know what I mean. My mom is not vegan and loved everything. Oh the muffins are huge and delicious. The ladies are so friendly and willing to help you find something you're interested in. We were renting a VRBO house close by and the homeowner highly recommended Inika as a great Vegan option. I am not personally Vegan but I found the food to be delicious, as did the Vegans in our group. We tried the hummus, empanadas, no-bake chocolate cookies, blueberry muffins, curry zucchini soup and mac & cheese over a few days and everything was terrific. I have been buying food from these 2 twin sisters since they were in the Yellow Green Market in Hollywood. Their vegan dips and sauces are amazing. Since they opened up Inika Foods in Wilton Manors, I am a weekly visitor. I am obsessed with their buffalo cauliflower, fried Mac and cheese balls, massaman curry, fried eggplant cutlets, cheesecake, and all their muffins. Not very gluten free friendly. The options are slim. We were looking forward to getting a burger with gf bread, but no burgers. So we waited 20-30 minutes for 2 hummus sandwiches with some small pieces of falafel and olives with greens on gf bread. It was very mediocre. We ordered a carrot orange juice as well and most of it was actually juice pulp... as if the juicer was not juicing correctly. It was weird. The one star is for the gf chocolate cake, which was good.
