Omg so I finally have the courage to write this review since being botched by Nancy @nancyinks. I first went to Nancy to get my eyebrows ombré powder back in 2021. I went to get them touched up less than a year later. First time I got them done they were okay, the ends were a bit short and she freehand drew it on. She didn't map it out or anything. Her bedside manners were pretty shitty also. I didn't feel welcomed or at ease with her. But I still gave her the benefit of the doubt and came back the second time to get a touch up. BUT I knew it was a huge mistake the second time around bc my eyebrow hairs started to fall off!!! They all ended up falling off leaving me with 5 hairs that I can literally count on my left brow and right brow with a handful hairs only. So if you want to pay hundreds of dollars to get your eyebrow hairs to permanently fall off and never grow back, then this would be the perfect spot for you. I was so self conscious after I got my brows touched up by Nancy. I pretty much had no hairs left on my brows after. I'm not sure how or what she did!! This girl should get her license revoked. After years of hating my eyebrows, I recently went to get an eyebrow transplant done in Beverly Hills which cost me 16k. That's the only thing that finally boosted my self confidence back. read more

Okay, I don't usually write Yelp reviews, but I had to for Nancy at Ink Bar because she seriously saved my brows! I had microblading done by someone else a while back, I won't name names, but I was extremely unhappy with the results. The shape was off, and I actually had to keep my hair down on one side just to cover one brow because it was so uneven. On top of that, the red color did not suit me at all. I paid a lot, thinking that if I got it done in Beverly Hills, it would turn out great... wrong. Then I had ombré powder brows done by Nancy, and I'm SO glad I did. She was super chill, took her time, and made sure I was completely happy with the shape before starting. Nancy is the best! I've gotten my first ever ombré tattoo for my eyebrows from her. She was able to walk me through the process and we were able to map out what shape, size, and location I wanted. She is very patient and is able to listen to my needs and worked with me. She's quick and efficient, my consultation and appt flew by. You can tell she's very experienced and knows what she's doing. Your eyebrows will obviously darken during the first week and start to peel, which is normal with any eyebrow tattoo! Ok so this place is legit. It's clean with inviting ambiance. Parking is available in this cute shopping area you can walk around. Nancy was super attentive, listening to exactly what i wanted. She would double check and do like this colored in markup to show you the shared vision and get full approval before moving forward. Super gentle, mindful of pain control, asks if you need breaks and triple checking throughout from different angles. She was very thorough with instructions and what is normal. I am not a make up person and don't really know how to do make up, so to be able to wake up each morning with my eyebrows done is nice. I went to Ink Bar and had Nancy work on my eyebrows. She looked at the shape of my face and used her professional judgement to shape my eyebrows. She drew them in and asked me if I liked the shape. Once I agreed to the shape, she started her magic. I found Nancy on Instagram. I was doing some research on there as well as Yelp to see which artist would be best for me. After a month or so doing that, I went with Nancy. I chose her because of all of photos she had on her Instagram showing her work and she even posted healing processes. I'm glad she did because I had no idea how unattractive the healing process would be. It's just the scabbing part which only lasts a few days and in the end it's all worth it. Trust me. I had my first appointment on November 7th with a touch up appointment on December 13th. My first appointment took about 1.5 hours or so. She brow maps first and confirms that's the shape you like. I have to admit she drew something slightly different from my norm but I really dug it and went with it. The shading process didn't hurt me at all. I sound weenie but the plucking actually hurt way more lol. It just feels like a slight scrape on your brow but I assure you it's not uncomfortable. Plus she numbs the brows as well. I have to add that Nancy is a perfectionist and I love that about her. Once she was done, she'd check my brows and touched up any little spots that needed to be filled in. My brows were done by another previous artist. They were uneven, and the ink turned red. I came to Nancy for help! I needed to correct my ugly eyebrows. She definitely corrected it and changed my life. She even out my brows out and corrected the colors so that it isn't red anymore. It was a miracle that Nancy not only fixed my 3-4 year old, faded, nasty brows, but also gave them a completely different new shape that's much better that I ever could imagine!! She first free hands & draws your eyebrow I originally liked it and agreed on the shape. Now looking back it seems like she makes the eyebrows short at the tail and I feel my eyebrows don't fit my face they don't even line up right from the outside corner of my nose to the outside corner of my eye like they should and to top it off only a little bit of the color retain even after the touchup up I'm giving this only 2 stars because I feel like I wasted $550 when I'm still filling in my brows with makeup everyday. read more

I loved my brows for the first 6 months but then they started fading pretty fast. I finally reached out to her 8 months and 6 days from my initial tattoo and requested a touch up. She replied that it's been 9 months and anything more than 10 months is the same annual fee. Her initial price is $550, touch up went from $275, now $295. She said she can only give me a $25 discount which really means $5 off from what she originally charged for touch ups. Then at my touch up she charged me full price. Red flag! My touch up only lasted 6 weeks. Another red flag! I don't know why I agreed to go back for the touch up. I reached out to her again and ask for a complimentary re-do touch up since it only lasted 6 weeks. She wanted to charge me another $50 for the re-do touch up. She ended up calling me with horror in her voice that I would even request for something so outrageous and that this has NEVER happened before. It lasts for 12-18 months on most people. How rude it was for me to say that her prices were steep. After speaking to multiple people in the business and reading other reviews, I'm gonna stick with 1 star for bad business. There's a ton of great ladies in the business, I would recommend others to find someone else. There's talented other women with more reasonable prices. I would gladly pay others for good business & good customer service. Unfortunately, I didn't get that here. In addition I totally agree with the other reviewers, her bedside manner is terrible. Nancy did an amazing job on my new 10/10 wake up, go to work... new ombre powder brows. She explained everything to me via text, accommodated my schedule, and made the process easy. She spent the first half hour shading in my eyebrows to my liking and then she did the process in only an hour. It was pain free after the lidocaine, and my results were BEAUTIFUL! Highly recommend. I had my brows done by Nancy and she did a great job! She made sure I knew how the process worked and made sure I knew I wasn't getting microbladed (microblading and powder brows are different!! Make sure to do your research). She also asked about my skin type and how often I wear makeup/fill in my brows. I showed her photos of how I usually do my brows, and she started the brow mapping. She let me look at my brows for a few minutes to make sure I was comfortable with the shape. She got it perfectly on the first try! I would equate the initial pain to the feeling of plucking out all your brow hairs at once, repeatedly. Afterward, she put the topical anesthetic and I only felt a bit of pressure. She reapplied the anesthetic after a few minutes. The whole process, including the brow mapping, took 2 hours for me. She makes sure you know all the post care information and gives you ointment to use 3x a day. She recently raised her prices but I personally think it's still a reasonable investment. She's very transparent about her pricing and the process on her Instagram (@nancyinks). Ann, who is another artist at Ink Bar Beauty, was also very nice! Even though she was with another client, she still smiled and said hello, and commented on how great my brow transformation was. Highly recommend! I love love love nancy! So I was looking into semi permanent makeup and I stumbled on Nancy's IG Page. And I automatically liked her work. So I asked for a consultation etc. She spent an hour in my uneven brows. She made sure I was happy with the shape! I was very scared because new brows and all. But she just kept trying out new shapes etc until I was in love with my brows. Once we got to the loving my brows phase, we started the tattooing. The first part, I did feel some sort of pain but it wasn't unbearable or anything. Then she lidocaine your brows, wait a bit.. and tada you're pain free while she inks your brows. 45m later or so, your brows are finish. Hello new brows! I'm not gonna lie, but the first session I was pretty miserable. My brows looks super bold super dark and then it started to peel. This is normal. But I have really oily skin and when the first time my brows scabbed, only like 5% of the ink stayed and my brows look like night and day and there's no way I can color it in since it was still healing. I spent a week and a half hiding from the world! Anyways, when it all scabbed off, I was in love with the shape and so was every woman around me! After 6 or so weeks, I did a touch up to go darker. And after that healed, it faded again within a week. So I did a third touch up to go even darker! This time it was pretty black, but so far it hasn't fade the the point where I would shade in in with makeup. It has been almost a month and I have super oily skin and I take heated yoga. So I sweat a lot! Which is totally not good for your brows! Anyways, I would recommend Nancy to everyone. I love her and she is the brow master! read more

Though Nancy Instagram profile may be filled with lots of many beautiful and good looking set up brows. I was a bit disappointed in the aftermath of her work on me. She didn't map out my eyebrows and only freehand the drawing. Her free hand drawing was good so I decided to go ahead. Just like many reviewers had point out on Nancy's yelp reviews, I must agreed with the other reviewers, my tail also came out too short, along with one brows being darker than the other. As far as professionalisms goes, I wouldn't say she have the most bubbly personality. In fact, very bad bedside manner and lack of people skills, may come off as rude or a bit stuck up. When I was getting my brows retouched one of her other colleague/employee was also working on another client. Held a wonderful conversation to keep her client at ease and to build rapport. Nancy on the other hand wasn't interest in talking which I respect. But I had to ask a simple question relating to brows tattooed after careful. Her comment was if you keep talking how can I get anything done. Second remark was when my phone started ringing, she made fun of the ring tone to her colleague and mock that only old people use that type of ring tone. I come here to see Frances for my facials. I've been getting the microdermabrasion facials and have dry to combination skin with mild pimples once in a while. She is fabulous! Very friendly and gives honest advice about your skin and needs. She also has high grade product recommendations for you and cheaper alternatives if needed. She also has her own line if you're wanting to try her stuff. I appreciate her time and honesty. I never feel rushed and my skin is always feeling sooo good after the facials. Parking is ample and it is a very clean place. I want to try some of the other facials and would love to come in more frequent but I just simply have not had time yet. My girlfriend booked me for a men's facial with Frances for my birthday and I am very pleased with my appointment with her! I've been to four different dermatologists over the last 10 years for acne and have had limited success, even with various oral and topical antibiotics and with Accutane. I can honestly say that after my appointment with Frances, my skin looked the best it has since before puberty! Leaving our session, she recommended a few products that I could be working into my skincare routine that were missing already. She was very knowledgeable with the different prescriptions I was using under the instruction of my dermatologist and gave me great feedback about them! Update Review: It's been 5 months since my second session of my first tattoo'd eyebrows with Nancy and I wanted to update anyone out there who is second guessing themselves on making such a big decision. Here are some things I will note. Nancy explained she would tattoo my brow tails shorter to match where my eye ends. I learned later on that this presented an issue since I wing my eyeliner past my eyebrows. The front of my brows, towards the nose, fades a bit unevenly. With the few minor things that have occurred, I still give Nancy five stars. Forget what you see on Instagram. Nancy's work is to do what is most natural to your face. I don't mind the tails short because when I don't wear eyeliner, a long tail looks awkward. Also, sometimes I wing my eyeliner too much but with the brows, I can keep myself from making bad makeup mistakes. If I do a full face makeup and decided to put a bit of brow pomade, my eyebrows are already sketched out for me. Takes me 2 minutes to fill and make the tails longer if I wanted. If I could change one thing, I would ask a bit darker but I'm not going to discredit Nancy on that. It's not that she isn't capable, it's that I never made it known to her to fix the issue. As for the uneven portion of my brows, this is something I will bring up during the yearly touch up. It's not fair to discredit an artist when it's my first time getting tattoo'd in the most sensitive and oily portion of my body! There are multiple factors that contribute to my eyebrows fading faster than some. I trust Nancy's work and her pricing to me, is very reasonable. read more

Nancy is amazing. I've been in awe of different eyebrow tattoo artists for the past couple of years, but really hesitated and never went through with it. One day, as I was scrolling through the explore feature on instagram, I stumbled upon Nancy's work and continued to follow her. I had not heard of Nancy before and none of my friends had gone to her, but her posts immediately attracted me and I knew she was the one after following her for only a few weeks. In my opinion, I feel that she goes for the more natural style rather than the it-is-obvious-that-you-have-a-tattoo look. I've been wanting EVEN/ FULL brows for a while now but people/ myself kept talking me out of it because I do have a lot of hair. I am pretty glad I didn't go for it with another artist and am grateful to have waited. After getting them done with Nancy, people realized how much better it looked and I felt complete lol!
