So, I decided to check it out. As soon as I walked in, there was no greeting--just, "What's your birthdate?" Then, they handed me an iPad and asked me to fill out some forms. I explained I was there for the free consultation and asked what kind of information they needed. The response? "We need to see if you qualify for removal." Folks, that's how a scam starts. "We need to see if you qualify" really means, "Let's figure out how much we can charge you." There's no qualification for tattoo removal! The only thing that qualifies you is having money. If there's any actual science involved, you're not going to hear about it because they won't give you a consultation until they check if you're financially viable. I called their corporate office to complain and got the same scripted response: "We just need to assess your financial options." All I wanted to know was how much it would cost, which I assumed I'd learn during the consultation. Then, I get a text saying my appointment has been canceled, followed by a message about how they "would've loved to serve me." What a load of nonsense. If this review seems a little hostile, it's because I drove nearly an hour for a bait-and-switch. Avoid this company at all costs. The whole experience screams that they're out to financially exploit you. They might as well just tell you to bring your bank statement to the free consultation. What a total joke!

However, upon calling to schedule my appointment I was informed politely by Kelly that the groupon is only for upper or lower legs (despite groupon listing it as a medium area) and that should I want my full legs done I would need to pay a $100 upgrade fee. She stated that it was a mistake on groupons part. I have gone back onto groupon and THE SAME EXACT GROUPON is still being listed showing "full legs" as a large area. Therefore, I highly doubt that it is a mistake on groupons part. Anyway, I scheduled an appointment and it was canceled several times. Very displeased. Tried to get a refund through Groupon but she had redeemed it despite me NEVER HAVING BEEN THERE! That is unacceptable and wrong. I've had laser treatments for hair removal and to prep for surgery, and the results are amazing. Jan's expertise with different lasers is impressive and completely painless. She does tattoo removal as well, and she skillfully removed a blowout on one of my tattoos while keeping the tattoo intact. I'm also getting a fresh surgical scar lasered off and some RF microneedling on it. The scar has gone from red to pink to white, and I can't wait for it to be gone soon. The results are unbelievably, but you have to wait 5 weeks between treatments. The spa offers a variety of treatments, I do try to experience something new every visit till I try all her beauty machines. I especially love the pod - it's a must-try! I also had a foot ionizing treatment that worked wonders for post-surgery edema on the top of my feet. I try and get them both with every treatment if they are available Jan even hosts karaoke parties once a month on the weekend, and I can't wait for the upcoming karaoke Botox party she's planning. I had my initial tattoo removal treatment at…read moreAnn Arbor Laser Tattoo Removal Specialists in February of this year to remove a mostly red tattoo; treatment was by Melissa B., PA-C (Physician Assistant - Certified). Within a few weeks following the treatment, the typical scabbing had developed into welts (raised, red bumps). As a result, Melissa suggested that we postpone the 8-week follow-up treatment until things healed. However, after 10 weeks, and with no sign of improvement, I texted Melissa to see if she would kindly prescribe a topical steroid ointment, which was recommended by a dermatologist who had informed me that I was experiencing a reaction that occurs in rare instances when red ink has been laser treated. Much to my surprise, however, Melissa replied that she was "not able to prescribe anything". Since when is a Physician Assistant unable to write a prescription to address a procedural complication for which they are responsible? PAs are one of three types of providers able to write prescriptions, which leaves me wondering why Melissa was unwilling to do so, even after a second request. Based on my experience at Ann Arbor Laser Tattoo Removal Specialists, my advice to anyone wanting to have a tattoo removed would be they should look elsewhere; because if there are any complications resulting from treatment, they'll find themselves having to seek help elsewhere. (UofM, for one, offers tattoo removal services at their Health Cosmetic Department, Taubman Center.)

I had wanted to get my laser hair removal on my armpits for awhile and being as it was such a good deal I bought it. I've had a great experience so far! I've only had two sessions so far and have noticed a huge difference. I barely have to shave my armpits at all. I was very surprised with how quickly it worked. The laser process can be bit uncomfortable. It gets warm and stings a bit, but they use a cooling hose which helps. The good news is the whole process is about 10 minutes max. In my opinion, the 10 minutes of being uncomfortable is very worth it!

She was kind, understood my goals, and knew how to address my needs. In addition to hydrafacials, I had multiple treatments from ViPeels to lash lifts. JoAnne was my go to person for lash lifts. In early 2023, there was a lot of change. Jamie and JoAnne left and I was told prior to my appointment that both individuals were no longer with the company. I was transferred to Nicolette who was sweet and just as knowledgeable as Jamie. Prior to Jamie leaving, I had plans to do aerolase for my rosacea. Since Nicolette was trained and capable, I got a quote from her, which included my face, neck, and chest. She recommended that I wait until the Fall without pre or post sun exposure. I finally scheduled my appointment with Nicolette. I was greeted by Kyle who let me know that he would be providing my treatment. I assumed that Nicolette was sick and he was covering for her. After my treatment, I followed up with Kyle since I only received the aerolase treatment on my face. He let me know that Nicolette misquoted me and that face and neck were two treatments. Additionally, I was told that the price of treatments increased as well. The quality of treatment was good, but I was disappointed in the lack of communication prior to my appointment. I wasn't told that Nicolette left. I wasn't told that there was a price increase. I wasn't told that what I agreed upon with Nicolette changed during my treatment with Kyle. Without my inquiries, I would still be in the dark. I received quotes from multiple med spas prior to booking. Each quote was given to me verbally and in writing including my quote from Kyle Farr Aesthetics (written on my brochure and via text). Kyle wasn't the cheapest compared to the other quotes, but since it included neck and chest for the higher price, I went with the relationship I have already established. I'm the type of person that doesn't just get a quote, I put everything in a spreadsheet, evaluate the pros and cons, and then makes a selection based on the data I have. I did this with my selection for aerolase too. Unfortunately, there has been too much turn over and lack of communication for me. As a customer that has been going here for years and received the quote in writing, it's disappointing that the changes occurred without any communication nor will it be honored. Since I paid for a package, I finished out my treatments, but I will not be coming back here. The new location is beautiful and I received quality treatments, but this is not the type of place I want to support if I can't received clear communication through all the change this facility is going through.
