I've gotten 3 piercings from this guy (3 piercings 4 holes) and every single one except the one I'm currently debating on taking out (it's infected) Has gotten infected. The piercer simply doesn't use the right jewelry and doesn't pierce in the right direction and places causing infection. He is kind of sanitary if you like dollar store Vaseline shoved in your ear piercing hole :) He puts in earrings that are WAYYYY too long and its constantly irritating and causing pain to my ear because of it. He even suggested me to put neosporin on my open wounds, which caused them to get pussy infected and now I have keloids that aren't going away. read more

I should have read these reviews before going to this POS run down place. Clearly Big Mike has issues with staring and making females feel uncomfortable. He made me get in my underwear so the process would be "smoother" I complied because I did think the shorts I wore were too tight in the sense that i kept pulling them up( I DIDNT WANT TO BE EXPOSED) causing him to have difficulty tattooing my upper thigh....he kept asking me personal questions- making comments about how sexy the position I was in even though this entire time i was in extreme pain and discomfort. He kept saying how he was studying me...weirdo. I was nice to a default but I did notice he was touchy in certain areas while tattooing. To make shit worse, he tried kissing me after I came back from the bank with the money and he took an extra 100 because he didn't remind me I had put the deposit down towards the tattoo. Just truly unprofessional and disgusting of a man if you ask me!¡! I got my first dermal chest piercings done here, at first everything seemed alright. the customer service wasnt great, nu the prices were low so i though i might as well do it. after getting the extremely painful piercings done, i notices they kind of hung down and were droopy, i thought nothing of it and left them as is. 4 months later one started to reject, i went to another piercer and he said that whoever did them didnt pierce them deep enough and put jewelry that was way too big in it, which made them eventually fall out. Ink fever states they open at 2:30 on the phone message, then at 3:33 on instagram, then 3:45 on google, so i went at 4:00 on a tuesday and of course, they still weren't open! This place is uncleanly and unreliable. Dont let their low-prices fool you, your better spending your money somewhere else. read more

Big mike has no idea what he's doing. I was way over charged for a very small tattoo but it had a lot of detail, so I figured that's why I was spending so much. After Mike was done with what used to be a beautiful design, I looked it over. The lines were shakey, it was uneven, he had missed some small spots, and it looked sloppy. I made him go over a few different parts to fix it up before I could walk away feeling even the slightest bit happy about what is now on me forever. This tattoo went from a simple, elegant design to something that I could have done better with pen. These guys are crooks and definitely not worth your money! read more

The location of this shop is quite sketch, but what do you expect? It is Riverside after all. But overall, this place is quite special to me since I got my first non-lobe piercing here. The piercer was accommodating to the fact that this was my first real piercing, so he was very patient and calmed my nerves. The piercing procedure was very quick and the piercer religiously changed his gloves each time he grabbed different tools. My friend and I went here to get our bellybuttons pierced, and I was really impressed by the prices. $30 for the piercing, the jewelry, and the cleaning stuff. However, the jewelry stained my skin, and now there's a pretty ugly scar, and I had to take my piercing out a month ago because the piercing was starting to close up. My friend's boyfriend said maybe he didn't pierce enough skin, which is probably true since the hole was so close to my actual bellybutton. The piercer didn't clean the jewelry either. Big Mike is an excellent artist. I researched his work for awhile before visiting the shop. Once there he answered all my questions with great patience and was friendly (you won't find that at many tattoo shops!). He worked with me on prices to fit my budget. I got a scene from a sci-fi tv show that covered half my upper arm, all black and gray. He requires a down payment as most reputable artists do, and we made an appointment. When the day came to have the work done he was ready when I arrived and had sketched up the design perfectly. He worked fast but steady, I really couldn't believe we completed the entire tattoo in one session. It turned out amazing. He did stop to take care of some tattoo consultations and piercings when people walked in. He was upfront and honest with everyone just like he was with me. We had great conversation while he tattooed me and he's very passionate about his work. You can get a lot of bad tattoos for an excellent price at other shops, but if you're looking for QUALITY tattoo work at an excellent price, another rare thing to find in the tattooing world, then I highly recommend this shop. Not sure what's up with the prior reviews. Met Big Mike 33 today at an Ink Master Convention in New Braunfels. He did a touch up on my anchor and flowers that was AMAZING! So disappointed but a lesson learned. I put a deposit down for my tat and unfortunately signed a FN paper deposits not refundable. I have never had any issues with any Tattoo Artist but this one is unethical and not accountable for his LACK of confirming a date. I asked for my deposit back he said no because I signed that paper plus my lack of communicating WTF!!! I have screenshots of our messages not once did he confirm a date. I'm just thinking he probably gets his money this way Having people leave deposits and don't confirm dates so customers get upset and want deposit back and he says No no you signed the paper SMFH!!! Very unethical Plus he talks shit about customers on his FB page ummm hello he needs to look in the mirror and get some values, ethics, and communication skills if he has a business to run. I more upset because the tattoo was in memory of my brother who was murdered. Don't get me wrong he does great work that's why I wanted him to do my tat, but damn he's a jerk!!! The Owner/Artist is really a nice guy, takes a lot of time with explaining his vision for your tattoo. He pierced my nose today in a sterile manner and it looks great! After looking at his work and talking to him for like an hour or more (yes he spent that much time with me!) I feel confident in allowing him to do a cover-up of an old tattoo for me and start my chest/shoulder piece. The shop is small but clean, he wore gloves when he did my procedure and all the items were in packages showing they were treated in the autoclave. read more
