I had a great experience! Being it was my first tattoo I was a really concerned about the pain and even more concerned about the final outcome. In the end, I really didn't need to worry; everything turned out great. My tattoo artist was Nickhole Arcade. She was so cool, gentle and very knowledgeable. We talked about everything from tattooing to the benefits of being a vegan. I had met with Nickhole prior to my appointment to discuss my art, location, size, a color, aftercare instructions, etc...I highly recommend doing this. It allowed me and Nickhole to be "on the same page" with what I want and her ideas on color and where my art should go. I was really impressed that Nickhole's area/tools were extremely clean. She opened and/or cleaned everything in front of me. She wrapped all containers in plastic, wore gloves, opened new needle packages, and she even wiped down the chair I was going to sit on. Each time she had to stop to answer the phone, she would immediately wash her hands again and put on a fresh pair of gloves. I had no worries of any contamination. Throughout the entire process (about 2 hours), Nickhole was always asking if I was okay. Her strokes were very soft and I loved the way she allowed my best friend to take pictures from beginning to end. My tattoo is a butterfly on my upper right shoulder flying away at an angle, with two colors: purple and white. The size is about 4 1/2 by 3 1/2. After it was done, I was in love with it. The next day, the guys at my office were all digging it saying how great it looks. What most impressed me was that Nickhole followed up with me the very next day to see how I was doing. Wow, I was completely caught off guard - that's great customer service! I'd highly recommend Nickhole at Ink'd Chronicles for all your tattooing needs. Great Service. Cheap. Clean. Cool Shop. I got my nose pierced here for $35 + jewelry a couple weeks ago. I didn't quite catch the name of the person who pierced my nose but the girl was very professional. She was calm. Answered all my questions and in about a minute she was done. The place is located super close to the Glass House and the interior is interesting. They have lots of pictures and cool murals. I'm definitely going again. read more

Went there today to try to get something done for my birthday. At first it was a little intimidating, but after being able to look at the different artist's portfolios, I got the sense of which artist's style I was really into. Loved Nickhole's portfolio a lot. Her art was very colorful and vibrant. Mark's was more classic "Sailor Jerry" style. But I decided to make an appointment with Money Mike after finding out how much he enjoys traditional Japanese art/tattoo. Mike's portfolio was filled with awesome artwork. His coloring looks so soft and makes the tattoo look so sick. Can't wait to get some art done by him. He's gotta be really good, his appointment book was full. I couldn't get penciled in till November! But like the old saying goes, "All good thongs come to those who wait." BTW, if you find yourself waiting, get into a convo with Owner Terry Dipple. I went in for my appointment with Helen yesterday and she BLEW. MY. MIND!!! My tattoo turned out better than I had imagined! We sat and collaborated on some ideas and made my tattoo 100% mine! She was so professional and fun to work with, not to mention very light handed. I sat for about 2 hours and only had discomfort for the last 30 minutes of shading. So I got my belly button pierced here 10 days ago. I was nervous and worried. Yes, I know I am a chicken. lol But Tess did a fabulous job! She is fast - yet, does a good job, before hand, she made sure everything was where it needed to be, and that I was happy with the positioning of where the piercing would be. Once she started the piercing, it went very fast. She made sure to give me her card, and said I could call with any questions. I didnt need to call, as she is very good and giving all the information to you. And gave great instructions on cleaning your new piercing. The shop was clean, and tidy. And the prices were great! Actually, I think she should raise them a bit, as I know other shops are a bit more. And because I was happy with the prices and how great Tess was, I made sure to give her a tip. Just got my cartilage repierced here. I have this huge gross scar from a botched piercing that I've been dying to cover up. I finally came here and Tess repierced it for me. She was so nice and quick about it. It hurt like hell, but that's what happens when you have a scar to pierce through. Then I found out that it's CASH ONLY for piercings (FYI to myself and others) and guess what... I didn't bring cash. Yikes! Fortunately, Tess let me go get some cash at the bank across the street. She didn't have anyone follow me. She didn't ask me for collateral. Thank you Tess for trusting me while I popped over to Chase to grab some cash. There was no big fuss or anything. This review is long over-due. I heard about this place from a friend and checked this place out on Yelp and trusted the positive reviews. I'm glad I came in. I got a tattoo at Ink'd in March of 2011. It was done by an artist named Money Mike who doesn't work there anymore. He was great. I still keep in touch with him and I believe he is working over at a tattoo shop in Hollywood. Mike does wonderful work and puts his heart into each piece. He understands that each tattoo is a representation of his work and represents his efforts. Thus, he's going to try his best on each piece. I feel that is how Ink'd Chronicles operates. I give Money Mike an A+ because he worked with me on the price and he came through with the quality. I still love my tattoo and get compliments on it all the time. Now for Ink'd Chronicles. The owner, Terry is very personable and is super friendly. They put a lot of effort into social networking and holding events to reach out to the public. I really respect that. I find that somewhat non-traditional with tattoo shops and to me, it's refreshing. This is not some dirty shop where the artists and staff are pricks. This is a welcoming and quality shop that will give you what you pay for. Give Ink'd Chronicles a shot. They have certainly earned this positive review and it seems many positive reviews that I have seen from other satisfied customers. Keep up the good work Terry and staff. One word. Amazing. All of the staff is super friendly and super chill. My grandmother and I went in to get our ears pierced and the cost is amazing. For the traditional lobe its ONLY 20 and it COMES WITH the jewelry wish is super amazing. Now let's talk about the deed itself of piercing they are extremely professional and clean. I mean this place is clean to the max. If cleanliness is next to godlynees then I think I went to heaven. The decor is extremely cool to look at. If your nervous and not the best with needles there is plenty to absorb. Hands down any further piercings will be done here. I made an appointment to get inked here...when I showed up for my appointment the artist told me 'I don't think I can do your tattoo but if you wait around a few hours someone else can probably do it'. What?? I really wish he would have called me to tell me before I drove all the way there. And he was totally unapologetic about it. He was a young artist so I chock it up to inexperience but it really turned me off. The owner contacted me and tried to make amends by saying he would make sure that if I came back I would get great treatment, which was really awesome on his part, but I still don't think I'll be going back here. I came in on a whim two days ago to get my septum pierced by Tess. Right when I walked in, she greeted me and was overall super nice. I told her what I wanted done, she had me sign paperwork right then and there, and had me in one of the back rooms in just minutes. Right when I sat down, I told her that needles tended to make me a bit uncomfortable, and she was totally okay with it (she even let me cover my eyes while she pierced me because I'm a weenie). She described what she was doing as she was doing it, and I had a new septum piercing less than 10 minutes after waking through the door! She talked me through the aftercare, and I bought the cleaning solution that they sell at the shop. It was an overall awesome experience. My only grievance (and the reason I'm rating 4 out of 5 stars) is that when she was piercing me, she didn't plan out where the needle was going to enter or exit through at all. No pen marks, no clamp to guide the needle through, nothing. So once I was super happy and got in my car to leave, I noticed the piercing was crooked. I don't know if I want to go through the hassle of taking out my piercing, letting it heal, and then getting it repierced through the scar, but I might go back in another day and talk to Tess about it. So overall, the experience was nice, Tess calmed me down and made the whole experience a breeze, and despite the crooked piercing, I would definitely go back for any more piercings. read more

Went here this Fall for my first tattoo. Being new to the area I chose Ind'd Chronicles because of the high volume of positive Yelp reviews. The Yelp army wins again...! When I walked in for the consultation both Obed and Shawn were there. Shawn immediately came across as the more personable of the two. That was important to me because I'm such a newbie. Dropped off the design I wanted and when I returned a few days later Shawn was prepped and ready to roll. The aftercare instructions were clear. Relative to quality it's been 2 months with no sign of infection, and (pretty damn importantly) the design was applied very clean. I went in to get my belly pierced about 2 weeks ago and I was super nervous, but when I showed up, Tess took care of me right away. I have a pretty low pain tolerance so I was scared I would have a bad reaction to the piercing, but I didn't even notice it went through my belly button! Tess did an incredibly clean and fast job! She told me the most that would hurt was the clamp, but I didn't even feel that LOL. I still have it 2 weeks later and my belly piercing is healing just fine and I don't regret getting it one bit! I went in for a touch up on my Maleficent tattoo and left with a Donald Duck silhouette tattoo in memory of my Uncle. She told me how to clean it and even gave me a card with her personal cell number and said if I have any problems to call or text her. I got 2 piercings from the owner Tess over the years. The first was a nose piercing that I got in 2013, it was perfectly placed and I barely felt any pain. I just recently went to her for a septum, in which she performed free-hand and did it without a clamp. I absolutely love everybody at Ink'd Chronicles, especially Tess! She is a very talented piercer and always makes sure I'm comfortable. I have problems with passing out when I get tattoos/piercings, and she works with me to help me instead of making me feel embarrassed. Tess has pierced my navel, earlobes, helix, and both of my nipples. Every time I've gone to her she has done a great job of making sure I love the placement, explaining what she's doing, being efficient yet patient, and I love the results every time! I was especially worried about getting my nipples pierced, but she did a great job and they've healed very well (she even helped me switch out my jewelry when one of the nipple barbells I bought got stuck). I came here for my first piercing when I was 16 and my first tattoo back in June. Tess has done three of my piercings since then and I have absolutely no complaints! She is awesome! Everything was done professionally and she always takes the time to talk me through the process and will gladly answer any questions.
