Today was my third (or fourth) microneedling appointment with Ashley and I just realized that I am long overdue in reviewing her. I had gotten microneedling done a few times before at another place and I liked the results I saw. The results weren't extreme but I figured if I kept going I would see what I wanted. I took Ashley's microblading training course in October of 2018. I had a lot of questions before I signed up for the course and Ashley took her time and sat down with me and answered literally every single question I had, even about licensing and insurance needs. Once I began the course, Ashley took her time teaching me everything from mapping brows out, skin types, sanitation procedures, blading techniques, and aftercare instructions for my clients. When it finally came time to practice on models, she was EXTREMELY observant and helpful. I was very nervous (I mean, your blading someone's skin). She reassured me that everything we had practiced on the fake skin would pay off. She even drew out the first few strokes for me to trace until I got the hang of things. She also made sure my models felt really comfortable with the entire process and ensured them that they would leave with nothing but perfect brows. Lastly, Ashley made sure that I knew how to handle my clientele. She gave me pointers on what disclosures to use in order to protect myself, as well as different booking methods in order to stay organized and keep up with my clients and their touchups in a timely manner. I had my eyebrows done about seven or eight weeks ago by Ashley and was left in tears. I already struggle with self esteem issues and this only made it 10x worse. I hate confrontation but couldn't imagine going through seven or eight weeks looking the way I did so I contacted her on Facebook, and sent selfies to show her what I was upset about. At first she told me she didn't see what I was talking about and then to relax my face which only upset me more, as she was implying that my raised brows were the problem, not her work. Yes, I did raise my eyebrows in at least one of the pictures that I sent her, as I was trying to show her what was going on, but as you can see from the pictures my brows looked horrible even with a relaxed face. She finally acknowledged during our conversation that she saw what I was talking about and told me to come back in the next day and she would add some more strokes to the other side. After I left that visit I was still upset, so I contacted her again about the bulbs and she told me that she would get back to me. Shortly thereafter she said she had contacted her mentor who told her she should have never had me back in the first time and that she would have to wait until the healing was complete to make any additional corrections. Needless to say at that point I had decided I was not going back to her for anything. This is a semi permanent procedure that she managed to screw up twice and left me feeling horrible about myself for weeks. That wasn't quite enough for her though, she then went on a Facebook forum and posted pictures of me (including unflattering full face shots she had taken during our initial session) along with the photo I had sent with my eyebrow raised all in an attempt to justify her inadequacies. I then had the pleasure of reading her cronies chime in about the problem not being her work but my "droopy" face and raised brows. The release I signed prior to my initial service for the use of photos did not include a clause allowing her to post about me in the manner or place she did, not to mention that it was extremely unprofessional and nasty. She also said I demanded to come back in after the first visit and refused to quit wearing makeup, neither of which is true. I wrote her upset about how my brows looked but never demanded to come back in and I asked about makeup and she told me that I just couldn't get it near my brows. read more
