When I came to him I was 20/400 (legally blind) and he got me into surgery in less than a month. It's been a month now post-operation and I can see 20/15 and only use reading glasses for small text articles on my phone. In addition to the actual results of the exam, the quality of care and customer service is top notch and all of the front and back office staff are very helpful. Unfortunately this time I had to get a Diabetic eye exam which I've never even heard of or knew that exam even existed! Fortunately the wait wasn't long and all of the staff at Pacific Eye Instatute were all very nice and professional. I wished the doctor had explained to me a little bit better about what was going on with my eyes because I feel like there is more going on than meets the eye! Lol .. No pun intended! I understand that I have been diagnosed with dry eyes but that doesn't explain the massive floaters that I have now. I mean ever since being diagnosed with Diabetes I have had these floaters just get worse! I'm really concerned as it's blocking my view at times. I was told to pick up some eye drops for dry eyes then he said that he would like to do more test! I'm thankful that he is looking more into what's going on because this is a very uncomfortable & painful experience and it's scary too! He also talked about doing some implants to create more natural tears. I'm going to try the eye drops first and hope that , that will help and then maybe I won't have any more issues. Fingers crossed! If you're ever in the Temecula area and are looking for a place to do a Diabetic eye exam, this would be the place to go! This surgical center is absolutely amazing in every regard. The front office staff, the individuals who gather information prior to surgery over the phone, the medical staff, and so on. Oh, and not to leave out my world-renowned retina specialist, Paul M Blacharski, MD. Fabulous anesthesia professionals that they contract with, and that is always a top priority to me with any surgery or procedure. The anesthesia professional reviewed the "menu" with me, and we determined exactly what I needed, as I wanted to be conscious the entire time (except for a few minutes during the nerve block part of my procedure). I recovered quickly when it was complete, waited for transportation to arrive (with 1 or 2 staff people with me) and went home.

Dr. Parker has been my optometrist for many years. He has taken good care of my eyes. My annual…read morecheck ups include the process of taking images of my eyes and monitoring to make sure there no abnormalities. Recently I went to Dr. Parker because my right eye was having excessive floater activity. He took a look and said it was something that needed to be monitored, that it was age related., nothing serious. Because I have had macular issues with my left eye, I decided as a just in case to get a second opinion from an ophthalmologist and he basically said the same thing as Dr. Parker. Never hurts to get a second opinion. But, good to know Dr. Parker knows his stuff! Overall, office staff is good. There are a couple of faces who I believe have been there for a while. It seems like there is a high turnover of other office staff and some confusion about things. For instance, one time after a couple weeks I called to find out when my contacts would arrive, to find out they were never ordered. No big deal.
