Easy to get an appointment. Other than that, they rushed my 13 year through his eye exam like it was a race. I'm not sure Dr. Nguyen asked any contextual questions about how his vision had been feeling from distance/short range or how long he'd had trouble since his last prescription. First time in this optometry, and was impressed. I did not have an appointment, but was in the area for a work conference and realized I needed to schedule an eye appointment because I have an upcoming vacation and wanted to make sure my prescription was as up to date. Only waited approximately 30 mins to start my visit, then waited about 15-20 mins for the doctor. After seeing me for both eyeglasses and contacts prescriptions, she was thorough on my options for contacts. She informed me of more options for contacts there are since I've worn them. But wanted me to sample several pairs to find the best fit. I've never had an optometrist give me options, it's usually one sample and order contacts. I felt very seen and heard with the doctor. As far as negative reviews regarding staff, I'm not sure I agree with them. When I went, I saw a very busy office and staff doing a great job at managing the client load. It is a small office inside the Costco. At one point, I stepped out to take a call and in the meantime a family of four/five came in and when I got back I realized all the seats inside were taken. I didn't mind, and stood by the door but the staff noticed and asked the family if only patient and one parent could use the chairs inside. Then came to get me and another patient that were waiting to see the doctor. Overall great experience. read more

Dr. Yazdan is so good! I have seen her for two years now, and she is so informative. She takes her time, takes a holistic approach to helping you make the best decision for your vision needs. I was referred to a Rheumatologist for a slightly out of normal range ANA lab and dry eyes only to have Dr. Yazdan solve my issue with a simple recommendation and some over-the-counter preservative free eye drops. My consultation with Rheumatology ended up costing me over $200.00 (not including labs) and yet Dr. Yazdan was able to help me literally overnight. She sent me home with some samples of her recommended over-the-counter make-up remover and eye drops and literally, that night I had relief! I also found the assistant to be very efficient and extremely pleasant. The entire exam was super reasonable and Dr. Yazdan was very helpful in explaining all my options in order to save money if that was my goal. I highly recommend Dr. Yazdan and her team. read more

I have been a customer here for several years. The doctor is amazing and always cares for her patients. However, there has been an instance with my recent visit that has caused me to leave a negative review. The two front office workers were speaking to a mother and her son about glasses, and the mom had to speak to her child in a slow manner to where her child can understand. As the child agreed, they left the office and I observed the receptionist look at her colleague and say "there is something wrong with that mom" as she did the hand signal for crazy. They both laughed and I was in shock, as these customers did nothing to deserve that, let alone to be unprofessional in front of other customers is not right. When I needed assistance later with my prescription, the response was speedy and very helpful (provided an alternative to the expensive contacts that were the first option). I went to Dr. Yazden at Costco in 2014 and she misdiagnosed my prescription and had me wearing the wrong prescription for years. In July 2022 I went to Dr. Judy Henning at Sam's Club for and she just repeated the same prescription. (I always take my prescription from previous visits with me when seeing a new eye doctor) I stopped going to Yazden because their office staff is rude and don't return phone calls. I guess that was my second mistake. Yesterday Nov 2023 I went to a new eye doctor at Inland Eye Specialists in Temecula and discovered I've been wearing the wrong prescription since 2014!!! I can finally see much better and now I wondered why I trusted these so called "experts!" I will never go to Costco or Sam's Club eye doctors again!!! Once you get your CORRECT prescription the optical depts. should be fine to fill your order but stay away from these quack eye doctors! Now I have to get new contacts and eye glasses...what a waste of money and time all these years...most of all the poor eyesight I have suffered with because of their misdiagnosis. read more

This office administration lacks communication, professionalism and customer service ! If you can avoid this optometrists, do it, it will save you from a stressful day. On multiple occasions this office has either forgotten to send me my prescription, scheduled me at the same time of apparently 4 other patients with doctors running behind. The receptionist Ricky explained that it wasn't her fault that there seems to be issues with the staff in the back who forgot to pick up my "name slip" and the staff in the back is the reason I was not seen at my appointment time and 4 other people were being seen even though their appointments were after me and checked in after me. I explained multiple times that I was waiting to be seen by The doctor and repeatedly was told that I was next, despite not being anywhere close to being seen. When I've asked for my prescription I was told I would get it via email and I had to call multiple times for it to be sent. My prescription doesn't seem to be correct and I requested for a follow up appointment and still have yet to correct this issue due to poor scheduling. When I asked for a supervisor or manager, Ricky fired back saying she was the manager and supervisor. read more

No one warns that the glasses prescription by the doctor only valid at the next door optics. I was under wrong impression it was independent eye exam office. I was under wrong impression that I would get a fully valid glasses prescription. A prescription for glasses does not have a very important measure - Pupillary Distance (PD). When asked to measure it within promised "3 months of free office visits" I was refused and referred to optics shop next door. So, the glasses prescription without PD are useless if you intend to use it other places, like online shops. read more

So glad spontaneous me took me to Costco last week. I've passed by the optical department in the Temecula Costco so many times & thought how busy it always appears. I have been going to another office for my eye exams the last 15 years & decided to stop at Costco & complete my eye exam in Dr. Shervin's office. I didn't make an appt ahead of time. I walked in, filled out the information sheet. As a first time patient, the info needed was minimal. I was taken back within a minute for the exam. I don't even think I waited 5 mins for Dr. Shervin to arrive & complete my exam. I never once felt rushed. She listened to me. She was so informative & reassuring. In all my years of eye exams, this is by FAR the BEST experience I've ever had. I will definitely return for future visits. Added bonus, frames & lenses available at the Temecula Costco are so affordable & has a WONDERFUL selection of frames. So convenient for my spontaneous visit. My exam & frame selections & ordering took under 45 mins. And I would like to add it was the middle of the afternoon & seemed VERY busy. read more

I just had my eyes checked here. The Dr. is patient, quite cheerful, kind and the office is clean and well organized. The Dr.'s assistant is also quite nice and the prices are very reasonable ($89). I imagine they'd be fantastic with kids. They didn't try to sell me anything which I liked. They are genuine in their kindness which is a pretty rare thing these days. My previous optometrist was constantly trying to sell me things which was very annoying. Dr. Shervin will be my OD from going forward. The optometrist doesn't sell glasses or contacts, those items are sold next door (still in Costco). The pricing on the glasses was inexpensive compared to what I paid for my last pair of glasses (1/4 the cost). The pricing for my contacts was significantly cheaper than 1800contacts (where I normally get my contacts.) read more
