Right off the bat, the professionalism and vibe was off. No return calls and when I did finally speak with someone, I think the owner Danielle, she was defensive when I mentioned that I had called several times with no call backs. I thought that I should still give the place a go, given some positive reviews. But boy was I wrong because when I finally did get into their place, I noticed the bedding was not totally clean and it smelled like mildew, which was a huge turn off. It's also not a serene environment, noisy and does not feel like a "spa" by any stretch. Given that Danielle is not a medical professional of any sort, she's not an MD or even a NP, she gave advice that in my opinion was above her qualifications and education level and honestly seemed like were just to have me return for more costly treatments. Beyond grateful to have found Danielle. I had suffered from multiple miscarriages/unable to conceive. I began my first session in Nov 2020 cupping and acupuncture. This is a long overdue review. If I could give Danielle 10 stars I most certainly would! From the moment you walk into her (very stylish) suite you know you're in good hands. She keeps each room in pristine clean condition. Once it's time for the treatments you're in for a real treat. Her deep knowledge on her practice is clearly visible during our pre treatment discussions. I appreciate how she also offers supplementary tips that will help me once I leave my appointment. As for the treatments themselves, I have always gone with acupuncture + cupping. Danielle is so attentive to how I feel during the needling/cupping as it can be uncomfortable at times, but she always takes her time and allows my body to adjust to the pressure. I called and got an emergency appointment with Danielle as I had pinched my sciatic nerve. She took me in, extra careful, and understanding. She explained everything she was going to do, and how acupuncture would help my situation. Along with the acupuncture, she also did cupping on my lower back, and even took tea time to show me stretches I can do on my hip fleeces to help ease the pain. 2 days after the procedure, I was feeling much much better, and continued to do the exercises she taught me for my hips. My first time ever having acupuncture done was with Danielle. From day one she took the time to explain every step to me in detail which eased my anxiety. I went to see her for fertility issues. I was getting acupuncture in addition with fertility procedures and I was able to get pregnant on my first round of IUI. I was recommended to see Danielle at Innova Wellness by a close friend who has been seeing her for over a year. I have gone to Danielle for back pain, anxiety and weight loss. I drive from Palm Springs to go to Innova Wellness because the experience is worth the drive and I have not found someone who is as talented in the desert. At reasonable prices many various services are provided. Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover my sessions but I have two friends that do use their insurance. Her office is so clean and relaxing, she has created a perfect environment to feel comfortable enough to fully relax during treatments. I have received cupping, acupuncture and scalp massage. The cupping changed my life, the treatment is so effective and gratifying. The cupping solved lower back pain I have, she described it as a deep tissue massage except instead of going into the muscle it pull out from the surface. I have used the acupuncture for anxiety and weight loss, both of which have been on the up and up since receiving treatments. I received a scalp massage and it was bliss. Her office has parking and is conveniently located near the 134 freeway in Glendale. She provides more services than are listed on the website, there is a pamphlet that lists it all in her office. I came to Innova Wellness by recommendation from my coworker who became an acupuncture believer after Danielle was able to relieve her crippling pain. I only had neck and should pain so needless to say, I only need 1 session to alleviate the pain. However I did return for facial acupuncture due to curiosity. Where do I start?! The acupuncture treatment I have received from Danielle has been effective in treating my jaw pain (suffer from TMJ) and the headaches that accompany it. Previously, I used a mouth guard at night that helped relieve the intense pain but was unable to use it after having dental work. A friend suggested acupuncture... Then I found Danielle, i was a hot mess but mainly it was difficult to concentrate at school from all the pain and stress. I have scoliosis and suffered from chronic back pain since my 20s. My doctor recommended Danielle at Innova Wellness and I'm very glad I gave acupuncture a try. I'm not a big fan of needles, but Danielle was great at talking through the process for a first timer and put me at ease. After my sessions, I was amazed at my pain reduction and newfound flexibility. I was able to bend and stretch in ways I hadn't before my scoliosis progressed. Well, after reading their response, you can see for yourselves how unprofessional they are. First of all, I find it strange that it says "comment from Danielle business owner", yet upon reading the comment, it is clearly NOT Danielle who posted it, but rather that man I've never seen before who called me on the phone. Unless of course Danielle refers to herself in the third person? Seems strange is all, even if it is signed "management". I guess Danielle is too busy to respond herself? Now, where to begin here. Okay, just because someone says "they don't like doing something", that doesn't mean that they never do said thing, but do so when they feel strongly about whatever it is that they feel needs be done. For example, most people don't like going to the dentist, yet there are times when we know that we need to, right? And I'd hardly say having half of your reviews being on the negative side, while the other half are on the positive side is "having a lot of negative reviews". In fact, I'd say it's safe to say that most people on here usually will review if and when they've had either a really good experience, or a really bad experience. Hence why 1 and 5 star reviews tend to be the most commonly seen ratings on here. Make sense? Secondly, the reason I requested said photos was so that I could promote THEIR business via Instagram, which can easily be proven as I texted Danielle asking her what their IG name was. And I did NOT call a "dozen times", but rather only once on purpose. I apologized to Danielle the following day and explained that my phone dials numbers very easily sometimes after making my initial call. Yes, it's incredibly annoying, for both parties, I get it. And thankfully, I've since bought a new one. So, I'll just say sorry once again for having had a crappy phone, and for trying to promote THEIR business. My bad. Also, they are correct in that I went in there in person after not hearing from Danielle for days regarding my refund. However, from the moment I entered, I was polite and personable with her and only approached her when she was NOT with a patient, but rather sitting at the front desk. After speaking with her briefly, she went to treat someone, so I patiently waited in the lobby. When she came back out to the front desk, we wrapped up our conversation on their "new cancellation policy" and she informed me that it should be in my account within a few days, at which point I said "thank you" and then left. If their so-called surveillance provides sound, then what I'm saying can easily be confirmed. Also, if Danielle truly felt at all unsafe or unnerved in any way by my being there, then I'm pretty sure she would've asked me to leave? However, she did not and I hence exited on my own volition once we finished talking. Pretty ridiculous that they'd try to make it sound otherwise. They also clearly didn't understand what I said in regards to what is considered 'heresay'. What I was referring to was when Danielle tried to tell me that I "verbally agreed" to their new cancellation policy when that guy called me, however SHE was not the one I'd spoken with on the phone. Hence, I was not speaking directly to her so she is not certain of what I actually said since it was said directly to someone else. Sort of like the telephone game in a sense, no pun intended. And yes, I did notice the sign posted inside when I went in there in person, AFTER I had gotten the prior phone call from that gentlemen I'd never met. And I find it beyond adorable that they tried to make it sound like they were being generous and going above and beyond by issuing me a refund of my final treatment which had NOT taken place yet. Hence, I was merely asking for a return of funds for services which were not rendered. So, thank you guys for giving me back MY money, for a service you hadn't provided yet. In closing, this place has now publicly shown that on top of being unprofessional, they have poor customer service skills and have no problem exaggerating and being condescending in their comments on former customers reviews. I've been to quite a few acupuncturists in my time, and I have had the most benefit with Danielle. Now there's no one else I would rather go to. I had been feeling really fatigued even though I eat well and exercise regularly. After three treatments with Danielle, my thinking became more clear and I didn't feel like I was dragging my feet anymore. After just the first week with Danielle, I began being more proactive and energetic! I know see her regularly to keep me tuned up.
