We had our Kitchen remodeled with IDC and really liked working Pete (and Robert) and appreciated the attention to detail. Innovative gave us a great quote (we got 7), used quality materials, and their custom cabinets are made locally at their Chino location. We replaced our ugly 1970's hollow core press-board cabinets with gorgeous solid maple and everyone comments on how beautiful our kitchen turned out. It truly looks like it belongs in a magazine. We love the pullouts, but I do regret that we did not add them to all of the lower cabinets. Lesson learned, do it 'right' and don't scrimp on such an important room in your home. We were forewarned of the 3-2-1 rule of remodeling (3x's as long, 2x's the cost, and the 1st & last time ever doing it, LoL), but even though we did run over on the timeline, Pete came in right on budget. We also had an issue with the floor Tile Setter, but Pete made that right, too! We would recommend this business and would love to use them again...maybe to add the rest of the pullouts. =) read more

TOP-NOTCH business practice, and QUALITY of service. You will not regret at least calling!! Remodeled our entire kitchen, and downstairs flooring 4 years ago. More recently, had master bath shower work done. IDC is KNOWLEDGEABLE, and resourceful! You get MORE than what you pay for with these guys. One-stop shop...there is not much they cannot do. Fully experienced advantage of using all their 'guys/contacts' for outsourcing. With a major remodel, something is bound to not be perfect the 1st time. BUT you will not lose sleep over it, because Pete & Lupe will not rest until the entire job is done right. My experience/example: I approved the granite slabs in-person for our kitchen prior to them being cut. When they were installed I wanted to cry because I immediately realized I made a selection mistake. I chose the wrong granite for the look I envisioned. Pete & Lupe went above and beyond to make the correction to my mistake as painless as possible. This is not one of those nickel-and-dime establishments. Our experience over the last 4 years has been the same... - PROJECT WILL BE DONE RIGHT - QUALITY - COMPETITIVE PRICING - HONEST IDC is a small tight knit team of tradesmen. We had a remodel of our kitchen done and we were very pleased with the work. They were neat and tidy and hung plastic to minimize the dust in the rest of the house. Jacqui did a great job with helping us design the kitchen. Auggie and Santiago were incredible to work with daily. They are very creative and sometimes changed the finishing touches on site. I walked into this location and spoke to a sales person(Lady) and was very friendly. I thouroghly explained what I wanted (bathroom remodel). I have no complaints about her service and she seemed very knowledgeable. I made an appointment for the following week with Peter to come out for an estimate. Peter showed up at my house without a tape measure, walked around my bath room and took a few glances. Then walked out and said he would email me the price for everything. First off, we never discussed tile, design, layout, stone, glass or anything. I have yet to hear from him or anyone at the company and could careless. This guy made it seem like he felt that I wasn't going to spend 100k on a bathroom remodel and I wasn't worth his time. I wouldn't waste your time with this business. read more

Top quality from a very professional company. This was our second project with IDC as they did an incredible job on our kitchen remodel 3 years ago. Once again, they exceeded our expectations on our master bath as it was completely transformed into a gorgeous spa-like retreat. Jacque met with my wife several times to review materials, design and overall look. The end result is incredible - including custom made cabinetry, flooring and tile work all done by top quality craftsman. Pete was very responsive and dropped by often to check on things and address any concerns we might have. All were dealt with quickly and to our satisfaction. We've had consistent great guidance and work from Innovative. When Expo/ Home Depot just plain dropped the ball on our kitchen renovation, Lupe and his knowledgeable, personable crew picked it up and turned out a gorgeous product, from cabinets to counters, plumbing and electrical to flooring. They've also laid wood flooring throughout our home, installed gorgeous base and crown molding (on some very high walls!) and re-done two bathrooms, and the quality of ALL their work has been outstanding. We love dealing with them, as they're professional, polite, know their work and treat the customer with great respect. Probably (?) because of an item I picked out (cheaper quality than they recommended) we had a plumbing leak, and they came and fixed it immediately. I've dealt with MANY contractors over the past five years, and these guys are by FAR the best. Note from October 2013: We sold this home where we lived for 29 years earlier this year, and everyone who came to look at it was especially thrilled with the kitchen and the flooring. About three months ago my husband and I hired Innovative Design Concepts to remodel portions of our house.They ripped out and replaced a bunch of ugly tile in the kitchen and bathrooms, replaced sinks, toilets, faucets, and refaced our cabinets and drawer fronts. The tile was discarded in favor of Corian, which, by the way, I like very much, even though I really wanted recycled glass instead. As far as Innovative Design Concepts' scheduling goes, it was relatively painless. We had to wait a little while, but they took care of us quickly. Our job was completed on time. The workers who installed everything were clean and professional. My dealings with the sales team at this company were wonderful. My questions were answered promptly and completely. I'm not sure why there are negative reviews here, unless some customers just need stuff to gripe about. No construction job ever runs completely smoothly, and I don't think people really grasp that, probably because they watch too many home and gardening shows on TV or something. I've done DIY and I've hired people to do things for me, and I have construction sales people in my family, so not only do I have firsthand experience as to how much things cost, how long it can take to get it done, and that sometimes stuff just happens, but I also get to hear all the horror stories about unrealistic and absolutely CRAZY clients who have NO clue about how remodels really happen, and when they learn it's a bit different than their own invented realities, they just lose it and blame the sales people, or blame the other company employees, or whoever. In short--people are flippin' NUTS and it makes a person wonder how they can get out of bed and dress themselves each day. Disappointing, we went with them because they were local. The work is "OK" but sloppy. Several tiles have the permanent black ink mark on them where they had to be cut. I have some gaps where more grout is needed. The glue seam on my counter top is not smooth. The installer did not have clean hands when he attached the disposal to the new sink so the clear caulking bead is dirty. Additional work was agreed upon but after attempting to schedule a time over the course of 3 months we found another vendor - visited the business 3 times was promised a call but never received one. Other than a fair price, I can't recommend them to my friends and will not use them for future bathroom remodels. read more

We have issues with the work they've done within a year. Certain items are done with good craftsmanship, but some items are very problematic. I think it depends on who they outsource it to and who came in. I also don't like dealing with them. They seem very responsive in the beginning when they're trying to get the business and when they're doing the job. But afterwards, you can't even find them when you want them to fix something they did wrong. They don't have the clients' best interest at heart ,and they're very dogmatic about how they want certain things done. read more

Do not do business with these people unless you're willing to sue them after everything is done. The main problem comes down to Pete. I had them fill in a light soffit and there was a huge seem in the ceiling. I sent Pete a picture of the work when it was done and his response was that it was there when we got there. Which didn't make any sense because they were the ones that filled in the soffit. I purchased A slab of quarts and was told I could keep the remaining slab which was substantial. But then when I called Pete to get my slab back he stated that there wasn't anything left. I eventually had to threaten to sue him before he finally called me back after ignoring my phone calls every day for months. He would give me the run around until I gave him a deadline when I would sue him. Then he had it to me within a day and the slab remaining was 4'x6' which I paid $65 a square foot for so as you could imagine that was a lot of money. I paid to have 5 can lights to be installed they did 3 of 5 and one was so poorly done that I had to redo it myself. The work was half down when they left and I had to finish the work on my own. They would say they were coming out and I would lock my dog in my room all day to come home and find out they never showed up. They said the job would take about a week, 2 months later they left the job half done and I was just happy to get them out of my house and out of my life. Pete seems nice until you give him money then his main objective it to avoid you in hopes that you allow them to leave without doing their job. Pete is a crook. When I first went into the showroom a man came in upset with Pete for never calling him back after leaving the job half done. I was foolish to continue at this point. My advise is to find a contractor that is legit and never do any work with this company as long as Pete is working for them. read more

Overall, I am happy with my bathroom remodel experience with IDC and would contract with them again on a future project. PROS *Jacque - provided guidance and recommendations on everything from style of chair railing to fixture finishings to placement of shampoo alcove in shower. She was excellent. Easily accessible by phone, email, text, and in-person; never missed a beat, even on weekends, evenings, and her days off. From day one, inspired my confidence in her design sense and dependability. She is the reason I'd return. *Responsiveness-Pete and Jacque were both IMMEDIATELY responsive with communications and follow-through with questions and concerns. My husband notices details and any crack, scratch, or dent, and discoloring; no matter how minor the problem he pointed out, Pete made sure they were addressed. *End product-We love our bathroom, and everything came out just as planned. *Professionalism-We didn't want crew entering any space in the house other than the work area, so Pete brought in a portable restroom that was professionally cleaned on the weekends by the facilities vendor. The crew also brought in a commercial-size refuse container for the large volume of trash from the demo, which kept the outdoor area clear of debris. Cons *Timeline - Went from anticipated 4-6 weeks to 9 weeks. *Initial issue with crew accessing other spaces in the house on the first day of work. We just finished some remodeling projects at home. After having met with many construction companies, we finally came across Innovative Design Concepts and met with Pete at their office in Chino. They have an in house store front which was very helpful in picking the right materials and Pete was very open and honest about the cost and construction choices. We had a good feeling about this company and we were right. After two bathrooms, downstairs floor with travertine tiles and outside pavers in place of lawn, we can certainly recommend this company to our friends, family and neighbors. FABULOUS WORK! Either Pete or Lupe, depending on who was managing the particular project, came every single day to oversee and make sure that everything was being done according to plan. They were available anytime we had a concern or a question. They listened and made changes within reasonable limits or explained why something was better than something else.The different teams of workers who came in to work were respectful of our property and privacy. Both Pete and Lupe are experts in their field and know exactly what they are doing. So, we knew that we were getting 'top notch' work done. And so we did. We are very pleased with the way the bathrooms, the floors and our outside pavers turned out. We have received so many compliments already! IDC has done two small projects for us-- some custom cabinetry for our kitchen and demoing oak flooring and replacing it with porcelain tile. Both jobs were done quickly with very good quality. The tile job was very thorough, starting with a roll on antifracture membrane to level the floor to better bed the 2' square tiles, followed by the use of acrylic modified mortar and epoxy grout, all difficult to work with but premium materials. Pete and Lupe were both very easy to work with, and they were very conscientious, as were their crews. We did not have any issues with either job, so I cannot comment on how well they address issues after the project has been completed. We have no complaints on either job, and I would recommend them from my experiences. We are planning to ask them to bid on a bathroom renovation in a year or two. read more

My cabinets and counters came out beautifully and the quality of their craftsmanship is exceptional. I knew what I wanted and they delivered. The best part is my floors, I love my floors! If you have an issue Pete is on top of it and responds immediately. If you live in Chino Hills or Chino they have a great showroom across from Home Depot with lots of ideas.
