The service was a little slow considering there were only 2 other tables there. Our waitress was nice. The salmon sashimi had some of the white skin part showing which was not appealing. It tasted ok but a little on the tougher side. We shared three rolls. Beauty and the beast, crawfish ferry and no way Jose. The rolls came out nicely plated. However, there was way too much rice in all of them which took away from the rolls. The beauty and the beast roll was sweet, shrimp tempura that was inside was small. The soft shell crab was good. The crawfish ferry was a little disappointing to me because I was really hoping for whole crawfish on top but it was chopped up into small pieces. Roll was decent. Came on a rainy Wednesday night and they were busy. Wanted to grab a quick to go dinner after work and ended up waiting over 50 mins before I even get my food. Before I even get the chance to place an order, I had to wait for a good 5-10 mins at the cash register before someone even acknowledged I was there to take my order. Put in my order and was told that it will take 30 mins to get my food. Understandable since they were busy. Ended up waiting for 45 mins for the food. Everyone who was also waiting for their to go order were a bit annoyed by the wait. Food was decent, but I live in California so my standards for sushi are a bit higher. read more

They've eaten sushi everywhere and all agree (5 of them) that this is by far the best sushi anywhere! Tonight was no exception! Our server, Alex, was top notch! She knew the menu inside and out and was very attentive to our every need! We started out with free chicken pieces that were delicious. We followed that with Goyza - cooked perfectly! Next was my Steak Hibachi with fried rice. Delicious! Tender cuts of meat cooked perfectly and delicious vegetables. Then came the 6 assorted sushi rolls. Service and the tempura cheesecake were superb! Yes, I've gotta mention the dessert first bc it was THAT great. But more details below. I can't be absolutely sure of the sushi rolls as the receipt was held hostage by my girlfriend. But, I'm pretty sure of its accuracy based on the type we ordered and recommendations from our server. The toasted scallop was also interesting. Unagi noble: Eel and avocado in the roll and more on top. Yum! The tempura gave this a nice crunch. The white cream sauce accompanied by the typical eel sauce was something I randomly noticed -- I guess I never paid much attention to this. Did it add extra flavor? Sure?! Lol. Shrimpy land: Tempura galore with this pick! This was a shrimp tempura roll that was topped with crab meat. The white cream sauce comes into play with this roll along with the spicy mayo and eel sauce. I think my friend was satisfied with the pick as she was wanting shrimp. What's in a name right... The tempura cheesecake was interesting and amazing! It's like fried ice cream if you've had it before. Open parking lot at the Kroger in Flowery Branch. At first we weren't sure and walked in to nobody in the restaurant at 8:40pm. We asked for the bar and were immediately seated and given menus! One thing is they may want to clean up their menus a little. Some parts were pretty rough. Around 9pm the place got busy on a Friday night. We ordered the Moonlight and Georgia Canyon and they 2 rolls were amazing. I believe it's the Georgia Canyon that comes in two towers. We also ordered the Lobster Haven. It was was good but not has good as the first 2 rolls, but Lobster Haven roll was HUGE!!! Drinks were filled promptly and the chefs were super inviting /nice. They even gave out complimentary tempura fish. It was yummy. Servers and management were amazing. Decor is cute, but watch the cherry blossom tree when you first walk in! Still the best sushi place around and the quality of the sushi can't be beat! The atmosphere is relaxing with cozy seating and plenty of tables. The sushi bar seating has been removed which is a total bummer because we used to sit there and watch all the magic happen with the chefs. Their popularity has grown and you may have to wait to be seated but that is because the food is that good! As with most restaurants these days, they are short staffed so one person is taking care of half the dining room. If that is the only complaint then they are still a place to visit! The menu is extensive so choosing a roll or plate can be difficult because they are all worth trying. They are priced perfectly for the quality you get. read more

I finally tried out the new Sushi Heeya and so glad they reopened a true sushi bar in this location that once housed a great sushi bar back in 2004-2010. Came alone and Sat at the bar and got a beer and checked out the fish. Started with a ginger salad ( just sounded good and was no charge), then a tuna tar tar- tuna, avocado, sesame oil, sriracha, served in a red martini glass with fried won tons. Great presentation and was fresh tuna. Then opted for the 16 piece sashimi platter. Well presented, nice scallop and octopus adder, great tuna, salmon, plenty of food. I got some extra hot sauce on the side and went to town devouring the whole plate. Sitting at the center of the bar is the serving "area" . to the servers. All orders are run their - next to my arm and the chef yells every table. It think its good as the servers come running, but seemed to be some chaos with either new servers and other workers. Very hectic so will sit down the bar away from the busy area albeit I like to be where the fish is. Good place, best since first green tea there ( still a great place in Dacula!!), so glad I have a choice nearby to get a sushi fix on a tight schedule. Only giving 4 stars as it took me 13 minutes to get a beer sitting front and center but food quality is good. Will say this is a good Sushi bar for this corner. Long overdue . read more

I have dumped hundreds of dollars into this place for consistently bad food and service. Shrimp tempura is cold and old 9/10 times. It's that one time that's good that makes you wanna give another shot. It's expensive as hell. $35 for a Cali shrimp tempura edamame and dumpling. Charge you a $1 for 1.5 oz cup of spicy Mayo they fill up half way. The only reason this place gets business us cuz it's surrounded by subdivisions and there's really no other sushi options very close. Stay away is my recommendation read more

Taking stars back because despite them having my favorite sushi roll in my area, service and the inconsistent/inaccurate hours just kills me. The website and their voicemail says they are opened on Mondays. That is FALSE. There is literally no way to get updates from the restaurant without physically going there. They don't have active social media that I've found that tells you when they are opened or closed (I understand that changes more with covid but c'mon). I feel like they barely answer the phones if it's busy. And it has to be busy because they are only open like 6.3 hours all week long, it feels. Heck, the restaurant was turned off of UberEats mid-order on me one night. Even when they are open, they are all over the place. My husband was the first person in the restaurant recently to place a to go order, stepped out, and came back 45 min later and our food still wasn't ready. But several people that were seated all had their food. Do not plan to substitute anything or they will charge you extra. My husband asked to swap steak out for chicken and they kept the steak and still charged him extra for an order of chicken. Seriously? Sigh. I want to like them, I really do. But I'm always disappointed by how difficult it is to get some dang sushi when I crave it. read more

Great staff and food. The sushi rice was on the dryer side and the nigiri was plain compared to the first time, but nonetheless, still good and fresh. I wish the salad dressing was a tad less sweet.
