It's great to have a local hibachi and sushi spot in downtown Winder. We got in and were sat pretty quickly for a Saturday evening. I'd never been in this building before. According to another review it was the old bank, but the decor is lovely! I think it's great use of this space! The service was good but perhaps not quite where it can be. Being a new restaurant they are still finding their groove. But we had to ask for chop sticks and never were given the opportunity to ask for dessert, which we were wanting, but it took so long to close out the check we decided to try out the ice cream shop down the street instead. We sampled a few things across the menu starting with the Kani Salad. I wanted to love it but just didn't feel this had much flavor. Next up was the Tuna Tataki which is one of the best I've ever had! Next comes my Ginger (or house) salad which had only chopped lettuce and dressing, no carrots or cucumber which is pretty standard but the dressing was good. The Clear Soup was flavorful with mushroom slivers and green onion. We ordered the Angel roll (highly recommend) as well as Tuna, Salmon, Eel, and Yellowtail nigiri. Both the Tuna and the Salmon were both so fresh and absolutely melt in your mouth! I wish they had more nigiri options but they do cover the basics. I also wish they carried muscles but these are just preferences. It's not like we left hungry. Rounding out our menu sampling we ordered Filet Mignon Hibachi. The steak was perfectly cooked and flavored as were the vegetables. The fried rice was okay, for a dollar extra I would expect some veggies and scrambled egg thrown in. It didn't have a lot of extra flavor considering. After all this, we decided to get an extra order of tuna nigiri. It's just that good! I believe this is only their second week open so I'm sure they are still finding their footing. Some of the points I've mentioned may work themselves out and hopefully if they are reading these reviews they take this constructively. Either way, we will be back. It's a great spot to hop in and grab a quick bite of sushi or nice hibachi dinner.

My husband and I came here for one of our date nights. We were excited to try somewhere new in Winder. For our appetizers we ordered calamari and the gyoza. We didn't care for the calamari. One they looked like onion rings. I like the calamari that is served using the tentacles. Two the breading wasn't quite right very crunchy and they were more chewy than we have had elsewhere. The gyoza was very good so good we made a second order for them for our table. My husband ordered the spicy tuna and Superman roll and I ordered the spider roll. I did wish the spider roll had a larger portion that was served. I thought paying $10 for 5 pieces wasn't reasonable. I tried my husband's superman roll and I enjoyed it. I could do without the imitation crab meat on top but the menu says it was supposed to be topped with imitation crab and steamed shrimp. We did not see any steamed shrimp. Although they fell short on the calamari and missing steamed shrimp on the Superman roll it was still a good and new restaurant to try.

The staff here are very friendly and service is quick. We have dine-in only a few times but I can't count the number of times we have gone in to grab take out. I absolutely love their angel roll. You can't go wrong by choosing them for your next meal.

After a busy Saturday we didn't feel much like cooking dinner after going through all our regular options we decided to try Toki Hibachi & Sushi. It just opened recently and has a 100 food score! Woot woot! It's located in the old bank where The Lobby used to be. The inside is clean and mostly the same as before with the ornate light fixtures and sleek decor. We had the chicken hibachi with soup and salad. The miso soup flavor was so good you could really taste the seaweed which I love! The salad was fresh although I wish they used dressing with a little more ginger flavor. The chicken was cooked well not overdone or stringy which I appreciated I forgot to get a side of teriyaki sauce to dip it in though will have to remember that next time lol! Overall, I thought it was good we will definitely be trying it again! Also, you can place online orders as well which I know will come in handy for us! Give it a go!

Kinda skeptical at first but the food, service and atmosphere were great. We got in just before they started getting busy. The only downside was the tables are so pushed together it's hard to get in and out, even for a skinny person. Haha

Various rolls including the downtown winder roll, the dragon rolls, the TNT roll and of course, the eel and octopus nigiri

But thanks to yelp the reviews kept saying this was different so me in a buddy of mine went for lunch recently to try it out. Not a huge place, but nicely decorated and clean the Buffay to the left head three or four different rows, starting with your proteins, then to your vegetables and desserts. Sushi was in the back as were the sushi chefs making it. I pretty much walked down every aisle and sampled some thing of everything so I could get a good feel on the quality of the food. I'm also a sushi nut, so technically, I never eat sushi at a Chinese buffet, but this look fresh and the spicy tuna actually looked like spicy tuna... And it was quite good and fresh. They even had Hot sauce bar with my Sriracha ready for me as I don't use soy sauce on sushi if it's any good. The Buffet stayed full , service was spot on, I have to admit I kept eating and had to stop before I over ate. I was really impressed especially defined it in Winder, which I struggle to find a place I can call home. So if you're looking for Chinese, don't be like me and wait because of the name, this is the real deal very tasty, highly recommend !!

They aren't just great at their job they get to know you by name, care about you as a person and spark up real conversations that aren't the same "how's things going?" Now, let's talk about the food. I've had sushi on 3 continents and this is hands done some of the best you will ever experience. Everything is fresh, prepared on the spot. Vast amounts of attention are put into the presentations making this one of my family's favorite spots. The only thing I could honestly think of that's negative is the front door (lol). Something about where they are located in the plaza creates a vacuum on that door from time to time and you really have to yank on the door to get it open, but I would gladly bring a crowbar for this food. See for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

Had a descent selection of Saki but I didn't partake. The menu was a bit overwhelming with options, particularly with the sushi. Ordered the volcano roll, honey sandwich roll, and can't for the life of me remember what the 3rd one was. They were all mediocre. Not bad, but not overly good either. I passed 2 other sushi places getting here with much better rolls. Service was fine, but it took forever to get our food and it wasn't very busy. Maybe I picked the wrong items on the menu, but probably wouldn't go back as there's much better options nearby.

One of the others ordered the shrimp and filet mignon. The filet Mignon came out cold and was tough. I ordered the chicken and fried rice and the fried rice tasted like it had spoiled fish or some VERY ODD flavor. I had two bites and that's all I could handle. My chicken was tough too. My wife got the steak and Chicken and only took about two bites as you can see from the attached photo. The server put in some effort but was lacking on getting drinks refilled. From the photo you can see that a full plate was left behind and a full bowl of rice. I won't be coming back to throw my money away for cold and horrible food. Just a point to ponder is I wouldn't even take the food home for the dogs, it's that bad. The place was not that busy when we were there.
