It had onion so now she'll be sick for several hours. My Lo mein was really good but I'm not allergic to onion and garlic. I ordered hibachi chicken with a drink. The sweet tea was coming out of the urn slowly like it was near empty. One sip and it tasted like pure MOLD. GROSS!!! I'll bet money that the tea urn valve has never been disassembled and cleaned. This explains the slow pour. The fruit drinks looked like they had sugar settled at the bottom of the tanks. It could have been mold. I didn't take the risk. Needless to say, I drank a soda. The food was not terrible. My biggest complaint is that the chicken was not fully coated with teriyaki sauce. This is my first yelp review. I made an account just so I could warn people how utterly terrible this food is. The "fried" rice is slimy. The chicken is slimy and extremely poor quality. After the first bite I am afraid to eat it. I ordered steak and chicken. I thought they had left out my steak at first because I couldn't see it, but upon closer inspection I see that the "steak" is a couple of shreds of philly cheese steak meat. The "egg rolls" tasted like they were cooked last week and were microwaved perhaps multiple times. The staff was rude. I actually remember going to the Johns Creek location years ago and ordering the house fried rice. I enjoyed it, but never was able to return since I usually don't go that way. Having a craving for Japanese food this past week and visiting family, I found this location on my way home and decided to pay a visit remembering my previous encounter. I am glad I remembered and was pleasantly surprised at the prices and taste of the food. My mom and I each got a hibachi plate with an appetizer and drink and cost us less than $30, much better than most other hibachi options. The steak, chicken and shrimp were all cooked well without any noticed gristle and went well with the creamy yum yum sauce and fried rice. The dumplings I had were delicious as well, so nothing to complain about here. It's not usual to have a restaurant service hibachi, wings, Philly and gyro sandwiches. I can only speak for the Japanese options, but I'd give this place a try for the other offerings when I crave them if I lived near one of the locations. Stopped in for wings and tried the fried rice with lemonade as my beverage. The wings were prepared to order and were average in size and just a notch above average in terms of taste. The fried rice was good and I enjoyed the yum yum sauce. The celery tasted old and had lost its crispness so I just had one bite. The lemonade was... well let's just say I won't order it again. The restaurant eating area was just barely acceptable in terms cleanliness but the men's restroom really needed a good cleaning and sanitizing. Employees were friendly but one employee taking customer orders and handing customer food across the counter was eating her snack throwing trash in the receptacle which was overflowing right behind the counter without stopping to wash hands periodically (this hand to mouth then trash throwing then giving customers their food made me nervous). Very yucky in my opinion. Plenty of free parking at the door. In the final analysis if I knew employees were retrained regarding restaurant health issues I would return and if the management placed emphasis on maintaining cleanliness as a priority then I might recommend this place after seeing the improvement. This place sucks. I ordered a doordash, and got steak hibachi and the "steak" was literally philly cheese steak meat. All the sauce was covering the rice and I kid you not, this is all the vegetables I got. It said it came with broccoli but there was all but one TINY FLORET in my food. I'm normally not one to "speak to the manager" but I called the next day and inquired about a refund or maybe a coupon to try something else. Because it was 14$!!!! For this!!! When I called, the manager told me to try talking to doordash because it's "not his fault". And since that I threw away the food that there was "no proof" that I ate it. Really?? When we got there it wasn't busy, but after sitting and waiting for our order to be called, people started coming in quick! They took our orders quickly and gave us our cups for our drinks. (Drinks are self serve and so are the condiments. They have fry seasoning too!) After getting our food, a lot of people starting coming in, so I'm going to assume that they get pretty busy after 6:30pm to close(9pm) my sister got the 10 piece Wing combo with fried rice and a drink. After looking at a few places, I decided to come to this one, because I really needed to get on my way, plus it was a little bit cheaper than the other places close by. I'm not sure what all the negative reviews are about because I found everything great here. The lady at the register was very kind and helpful, and they got my order out quickly. Short and sweet--every now and then I get a craving for some steak and yum yum sauce. Delicious. This is a casual place and if you eat here don't be in a rush. I wasn't too impressed with the egg rolls or side salad but my expectations for egg rolls and salads are superb so I may not be the best person to listen to--mainly a cabbage-like taste in both turned me away. I think this company is definitely worth a try but don't expect to walk in, pay $, and expect service like you paid $$$$. I've only ate here a couple times but a buddy of mine raves over how much he loves the place. Purchased shrimp hibachi and hot teriyaki wings through door dash. I received steak hibachi and hot wings. I immediately contacted my DoorDash driver and she attempted to get the correct order from Sumo. They refused to correct their error and swore up and down that the correct items were given to my driver. I accepted this as my driver potentially mixing my order up with another customer so I reached out to DoorDash and they placed my order again at no cost to me. Nearly two hours later my food was delivered and while I did receive shrimp this time (with some weird thick brown sauce on top) again the wings were regular hot instead of teriyaki. When I called Sumo again they acted like I was lying about my order being incorrect, staying over and over again how they personally packaged the order. This might seem petty to some but I love dumplings and for them to come completely burnt TWICE was ridiculous. It was my first day home after giving birth and I just wanted my food. I wasted over $30 on food I had to give away, TWICE. This restaurant is down the street from my home but you won't catch me going there again. read more

Honestly, this place was so disappointing after reading some good Google reviews. The hibachi says it comes with veggies. It literally came with 2 thinly sliced carrots and cabbage on the side they put the meat and sauce on top of the rice having all the extra sauce seep all over the rice. It's really too much and nothing to break up the taste since it comes with no veggies, basically. It's so expensive for what you get. I have attempted to call the restaurant a few times after receiving my food and the last customer to be served. I ordered my food yesterday at the restaurant at November 30, 2021 @ 8:33:38pm. The restaurant was about to close. However they did not turn me around. I even gave a tip for being able to order. It took approximately 22 minutes to receive the food which wasn't bad because she stated they take their last order at 8:45pm. I called the restaurant 8 minutes after leaving cause there was roach in my freaking food! I have never had an issue here & have always ordered the food that was delicious to me. However, I received my food and guess what I found in it after stiring & getting ready to add some yellow sauce to it??? A freaking roach! If I wouldn't have looked at my food carefully I would have ate the freaking roach! I am sooo mad, angry, & upset! I need somebody to contact me ! I will never ever come here again! I love the new addditions to the menu. Best beef ribs in this area. You can't go wrong with this place. Any of the rice bowls they sell are very tasty. And the dumplings are really good as well The hibachi dishes are good not great. The wings are good as well, not out of this world. But for the price you get what you paiid for. The different sauces for the wings are really good. My favorites are medium and Teriyaki. Please ask for yum yum sauce on the side. Do not be in rush when coming to this place. The food portions have changed , paid for double meat and barley got a decent serving . The cashier was a real jerk. I work in radio and speak clearly for a living , apparently because I was wearing a mask and Temetra (cashier) didn't like it she acted like she couldn't hear me multiple times even though there was literally no other sound . No one other than myself was in the restaurant at the time , the only way you couldn't hear was if you were disabled and unable to even work in such a place .
