Dr Park is very informative and she has great bedside manners! She has given me great advices, referrals, and diet plans, medicinal prescriptions, pre-op, post op, and after my random illness or condition(s). She is also Asian-American; whereas I feel more comfortable getting ongoing medical screenings with since we can relate to one another. Her staff is very welcoming, pleasant, and professional. They provide detailed instructions during intake and check out process. I would suggest anyone seeking primary care to switch to Heale Medical. They have a great email subscription that inboxes new treatments or promotional services, and their patient portal web site is user-friendly. You can easily access the web site for lab results and referrals. They also offer a patient Membership with monthly charges that includes nutritionist consultation and earlier available appointment booking availability. On top, when book appointment, all insurance information was uploaded and typed in and submitted. But at the minute of your appointment time, doctor did not log on but reception called and said my insurance is not on file and can't be verified. You have 10 days ahead to verify this, but have to wait till actual appointment time? We never have issue with our insurance elsewhere. So, you basically out of work for whole afternoon and, didn't even get to see the doctor. What a nightmare experience, can't believe how badly this practice is managed, patient be aware! Well let's start with when we signed up for KP and they said all my drugs…read morewere in their formulary and then once you sign up and are locked in for a year, that is when some Pharmacist calls you and tells you that several of the drugs you are on are "NOT" in their formulary and I should have gone to the some other book and on page 1872 it states that these three are not covered!! So one of these drugs was a blood thinner as I had a clot in my lower leg! Well after complaining constantly that I was not feeling right, and my feet were swelling up so bad I couldn't get a shoe on my foot!! Well this is when I decided to heck with this doc I am going to the ER!! Well Kaiser saved $8 on that blood thinner but then because I was developing blood clots, what they call Pulmonary embolism, then they had to do a Doppler imaging and 3 CT scans!! Oh and I had to go back on lovenox which is $1000 a shot!! When I was done with the 10 shots at two a day, I took back the five remaining needles and the pharmacy just threw them in the trash!! Then they put me back on my original blood thinner!! But that $8 savings took a bullet to the foot since the lovenox was very spendie!! Oh and I should add that all of this BS they never waived any copayments and I have had to pay them for the crappy thinner on their formulary that put me in this situation!! Kaiser sucks and I am stuck with these witless twits until January first! If you want to die by a thousand paper cuts then KP is the place! If you are an English speaking person you need several interpreters when you go because KP has a huge amount of non-English speaking help and when they say something to you and you do not understand them and say excuse me? They get upset with you because you do not speak whatever broken English they are trying to spew at you! This place is so worried about saving a few dollars that patient care suffers extremely! And then they wonder why people hate insurance companies!! If you have any choice, choose the other company because this place is horrible!! It is funny that they got bit so hard on the cost of that Lovenex!! It reminds me of an old saying; "Penny wise and pound (dollar) foolish! I should post some of the interactions between myself and one of the KP docs!! I would write this huge letter spelling out what was going on and her response to me was "Thank you for your concerns." On one call, a recorded message said, "Stop calling, you jackass." When I did reach a live person on a later call, the man who answered was hostile rather than helpful and told me to stop calling and never call again. I also submitted a written inquiry through their website explaining what I was looking for. I reached out here because of the strong reviews, so this was shocking and disappointing. My review is for radiology only…read more I came in for an MRI of my left knee. I've been having pain in my knee for a few months and it took me nearly a month to lock in this appt. The appt was at 10pm, I arrived at 10:10pm and I was brought back around 10:50pm. I was given a gown and shorts and told to wait until someone called me. Once the tech came out he told me I could go ahead and get dressed but I needed to remove my jewelry. I have nose and ear piercings that are permanent and I stated to the tech I couldn't remove them. He told me that they must be removed and I stated that I knew that was not the case because I've had at minimum 3 MRIs in the last 18months on my shoulder, neck and back and have not removed the jewelry. When completing the prior MRIs we've covered the piercings with gauze and medical tape with no issues. I also expressed my confusion behind having to take off jewelry on my upper body when the MRI is on my knee. I asked him to at least look at my chart to see I wasn't lying about my prior MRIs and he refused stating that it was ultimately the techs comfort level (paraphrasing) that determined if it was going to happen but that he would be refusing the MRI for me. I left as I did not see the point in arguing with him over it. So after a 47min commute, and a 40min wait I was refused the MRI. I immediately called Kaiser but had left the building by the time I got to speak to a rep. They stated had I still been in the building they would've told me to speak to a supervisor in an attempt to be seen but because it wasn't a guarantee it wasn't worth it to me after the wait. So now I'm out the time it took to drive there, the time I waited and $50 that Kaiser charges for the copay. I can't speak to anyone in member services until Monday so I'm not even sure when I'll be able to reschedule the mri that took me nearly a month to schedule in the first place. More disappointed because I made the mistake of thinking Tyson's would be a good location to go to. I'll stick to Capitol Hill moving forward as I've never had any issues getting an MRI there.

The other way to find a place is to park in the garage and then walk around on the outside of the garage to find the stairs that lead to the entrance of the Urgent Care center. There are signs on the walls that will indicate the Urgent Care Center. Cons: First, they give you forms that are copied from an original that was obviously highlighted so you can't see some of the words. I don't understand why they can't get a clean copy of the forms. Second, the forms are outdated and do not have a lot of room for you to write your medical history, medications, etc. Third, the medical assistant needs more tact in communication. She opened the door and pointed in my direction, but I was sitting around a group of people, so it wasn't clear who she was pointing to. She should have announced the last name of the person. It's rude to point fingers at people. I tried to clarify if she was asking for me to come up, and then, she says yes you. She has very poor communication skills. She does not greet you at all. She doesn't explain the process or what to do after the visit is over. I have managed medical clinics, so I know what I am talking about. Pros: The receptionist seemed proficient. The place is clean and seems organized. The wait is usually not that long, but you can always call ahead to see how long the wait is. The physician assistant seemed proficient and was friendly. As with any medical visit, always call ahead to confirm if they take your insurance and bring your ID and insurance card(s), a list of your current medications, medical conditions/history, and other names of your other doctors to make it easier. I would visit them again to give them another chance if I ever needed Urgent Care again. I hope they use this feedback to improve.
