Took a mini drive down to Cannon Beach and stopped by this cute coffee shop recommended by another local spot! Staff were not very chatty, however the coffee was amazing and I highly recommend trying one of their baked items!

One of the best things about the PNW is all the local coffee shops and Insomnia Coffee did not disappoint. A little tip is to get there early cause this place is known to have a line out the door. The coffee (lattes) were hot, smooth, and delicious and baristas were very nice and attentive. The space gives off quaint and cozy vibes. A little bonus is all the art through out that is made by local artist abs for sale. I picked up the cutest hand painted ornaments with scenes of Cannon Beach and other local spots. Definitely worth the stop!

Right in the heart of Cannon Beach, this is a pretty good stop for some quality coffee. There was a line coming out the door, but it didn't take that long to get through. My partner was thrilled they had cardamom syrup for a cardamom latte, which is surprisingly delicious. I got an iced quad vanilla latte - it was superb! We also got some warmed up biscuits that were scrumptious! The food is minimal with biscuits, scones, and some fridge items, like pre bought hard boiled eggs and vegan chia pudding. Nice seating inside, but it was crowded on the weekend.

Love, love, love! This is exactly my type of spot. I love a good, local coffee shop with vibes and delicious pastries and comfy seating. Insomnia was just that. Walls of windows, comfy chairs, amazing pastries and great coffee. We came both days and hung out for a bit and made plans for the day here. It has plenty of easy street parking but there are also free lots nearby and it's very walkable to the rest of the town and shopping. Friendly staff and anything from their baked section was phenomenal. We tried cookies, lemon poppy and peach scones and their savory scone with Asiago cheese and rosemary I think. It was SO good we got two every day and indulged. Their apricot green tea is also very good.

Upon arrival, I took the last parking space in the parking lot behind the building. However, there is street parking around the building and an additional public parking lot about a block behind the building. Walked in mid morning on a Tuesday and only waited in line behind one person before my order was promptly taken by a friendly cashier. Order was ready within 5-10 minutes. The latte art was beautiful on my Aztec mocha but it was too hot to drink. When I was able to finally drink it, it had hardly any sauce/syrup in it, and thus had no flavor. Unfortunately I did not end up drinking it. There were plenty of people seated in the tables at this time but there was one left when I arrived. The vibes on a weekday are definitely different than the weekend. It looks like they sometimes offer online ordering but it hasn't been available a single time that I have tried to use it. They get packed on the weekends and will have a line out the door so plan accordingly.

Amazing coffee, right by the beach, the service was great. Not a lot of seating inside, but on a nice day outside would be great to sit.

We stopped by on our way out of town on a road trip. The cappuccino and espresso were delicious! We also had a bacon bleu cheese biscuit that was amazing and a blueberry muffin. The whole place was cute and clean and bright! Definitely recommend read more

Pretty good coffee, pretty good service. It backs up sometimes since it's one of only a couple coffee shops in the area. I like the coffee shop well enough, but it always felt a little staged like it was just setup to look like a cool coffee shop for the tourists but it's really just a tv show set. Again, nothing bad to say about the place. It would be awesome if it was your local neighborhood cafe, but it feels like a fast food place instead because all of the tourists (like myself) tromping through. read more

Love Insomnia. Great coffee,pastries, and great staff. Only glitch during one of our visits was the fact that Apple Pay was not working. Those of us with cash were stuck in line for quite a while since those with plastic could not pay. Once the glitch was fixed, things got moving. read more

Have been coming here for 3-4 years. They have great scones and other bakery items. Their coffee is amazing. Great service, great atmosphere. This place ROCKS! Try the Aztec Mocha Iced coffee! Love these guys! Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the stroll to Haystack. read more

Its decent coffee, I tried it 2 different times before I wrote this to make sure my review was accurate. Do not be in a hurry when you go there, I waited at least 5 minutes both times. The 2nd time it was closer to 10 minutes for my coffee. The latte tastes a bit different then what I prefer, but its the best in Cannon Beach compared to the other coffee houses. I did taste the brewed coffee and some I didn't like ( taste like dirt) and others I did. I really think it depends on your preference! read more

I really like this shop! Totally my favorite place in Cannon Beach. Not touristy, good coffee, really rad decor and rotating art selection. Reminds me a lot of Portland, which is ideal. Baristas and cashier were friendly and helpful! They just recently started roasting their own coffee, rather than using Sleeping Monk, and it's quite delicious. I drink americanos and espressos pretty much exclusively, and the americano I had here was great. Every time I roadtrip out to Cannon, I hit up this place. give it a shot (ha) and you won't be disappointed! read more

Every trip I take to cannon beach, insomnia coffee is my morning (plus afternoon pick me up) coffee joint! They have have INCREDIBLE homemade treats and savory scones, paired with the coffee everything about this place is perfection!! Plus it's right next to the beach...what more could you want?! read more

After exploring the Haystack Rock tide pools at low tide, a cup of coffee was just what we needed. Since it was before 9 a.m. most shops were closed. Fortunately we stumbled upon this gem! My husband and I ordered classic drip. As avid coffee connoisseurs the bar was set pretty high. This place did not disappoint. I ordered the tortoise blend - rich, smoky and smooth. My kids had the hot cocoa and chai latte. The only complaint was that the coca was on the Luke warm side but worked for my 11 year old. The chai was the perfect blend of spicy and sweet with creamy foam floating on top. The ambiance is rustic yet comfortable. Staff super friendly and ample seating for a summer Saturday morning. read more

Oh my oh my, This is by far favorite place to get coffee. I go every day, and the baristas are so nice to me. My favorite drink is the dirty chai , I could live on the stuff. My great grandma loves this place and every time she comes down we get drinks and she tells me stories about coming to the beach as a child. She's now dead. I come here to relive her memory , I loved her so much. I'm so glad she's with Jesus. Jesus loves y'all. read more

Yum! Great coffee house at the beach! We got an iced Aztec mocha and iced real caramel latte on recommendation from yelp. The mocha was incredible-good strong cinnamon flavor. Prices are decent too-4.25 each for 20 oz iced drinks. We will be back for sure. read more

Friendly staff, great coffee and just steps away from our favorite hotel. Lines can get long but the baristas here can hustle! They've got a good system going to get the lines moving smoothly. Aztec mocha is a must try. They put a different kind of whipped cream on top. So yum. And just the right amount of sweetness, too! read more

I had two drinks in one day here: a cappuccino and later a bergamot chai latte. Both were perfect: balanced, beautifully presented, and filled to the brim. The place is so cozy, but bright and right near the beach. The bathrooms were really clean - something I care about! read more

Please, if visiting the Northern Oregon Coast, get your coffee fix here. They offer many dairy alternatives drinks and vegan and gluten free pastry options! Hemp milk lattes are not the easiest to find outside of Portland, but they have them! The best local roasts in the area. read more

Admitted coffee snobs, we thought we'd give this a try. We don't do dairy and we asked for flavored lattes with soy and found they don't have soy (which seemed a bit unusual since that seems common at most any good coffeehouse) so we decided to go with almond milk instead. The lattes were actually quite good, very smooth and good frothing. The minus 1 star is mostly due to the fact that it felt a bit dirty. Not horrible but enough so that it was a bit distracting. Also flies inside which was a bit annoying. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. read more

I like how they stay open later than other coffee places in cannon beach. I've only gotten tea and hung out with friends here. It has a calm and quiet atmosphere and in an ideal spot, right next to the beach access about a block west. read more

I appreciate having an occasional glass of wine, and expect that it's difficult to find a quality wine selection in a small town that probably depends very heavily upon the tourist trade. Frankly, most towns known for heavy tourist traffic usually don't do well when it comes to what they stock in wines -- they usually aren't that impressive. I was truly shocked to see an excellent selection of highly-rated wines, especially for domestic Cabernet Sauvignon. If you enjoy having an excellent wine, this is the place to find it.

Come prepared with three things: cash, an appetite, and a little patience. They don't take reservations--you simply write your name on the waiting list and relax while you wait. Trust me, it's worth every minute. We waited about 25 minutes, and after eating here, we understood exactly why there's always a line. In fact, we loved it so much that we came back two mornings in a row! The warm marionberry scones, fresh from the oven, are absolutely unforgettable. They're easily twice the size of a traditional scone, making them perfect for sharing, and every bite is buttery, tender, and bursting with sweet marionberries. I ordered the mushroom and Tillamook cheddar omelet with breakfast potatoes, and it was outstanding. The mushrooms were perfectly sautéed, the Tillamook cheddar was rich, fresh, and flavorful, and the potatoes tasted like they had been prepared that very morning before being crisped to perfection when ordered. Every bite tasted homemade. Our waitress had customer service down to a science--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The restaurant itself is wonderfully cozy, with just a handful of tables upstairs and additional seating downstairs. That intimate atmosphere means your food arrives incredibly fast. Ours was piping hot and on the table within just a few minutes of ordering. One thing to know before you go--they're cash only. Honestly, I can appreciate that. In a busy tourist town where credit card fraud is an unfortunate reality, it's a simple system that clearly works well for them. If you're looking for an unforgettable breakfast, brunch, or lunch, The Lazy Susan absolutely belongs on your list. Just when we thought the experience couldn't get any better, our waitress casually asked if we'd like dessert. I laughed and said, "You have desserts?" She pointed to the homemade dessert menu, and we couldn't resist taking home a slice of the chocolate silk pie and the peanut butter pie AND Oh my heavens....Each was incredibly rich and velvety--almost like an indulgent cheesecake--with homemade flavor in every bite. They became the perfect mid-afternoon treat, and now I already have an excuse to come back because I can't wait to work my way through the rest of the dessert menu. Some restaurants are worth visiting... The Lazy Susan is worth planning your trip around!

Pulled pork, brisket TENDER & JUICY. I can't even describe how I had flashbacks to my time in Texas. I am now in a food coma and on my way to take a 8 hour power nap.
