I had a wonderful oat milk dirty chai which was very very good. They were quick with the order and professional with the service. There are places to sit outside. I plan on coming back. No parking lot. You would be walking here, most likely anyways. Edit: I came back a few days. Even though this is a chain, this is easily the best place for coffee in town. We actually tried a few other coffee shops in the area, but found ourselves coming right back to Insomnia Coffee. One of the best things about the PNW is all the local coffee shops and Insomnia Coffee did not disappoint. A little tip is to get there early cause this place is known to have a line out the door. The coffee (lattes) were hot, smooth, and delicious and baristas were very nice and attentive. The space gives off quaint and cozy vibes. A little bonus is all the art through out that is made by local artist abs for sale. I picked up the cutest hand painted ornaments with scenes of Cannon Beach and other local spots. Right in the heart of Cannon Beach, this is a pretty good stop for some quality coffee. There was a line coming out the door, but it didn't take that long to get through. My partner was thrilled they had cardamom syrup for a cardamom latte, which is surprisingly delicious. I got an iced quad vanilla latte - it was superb! We also got some warmed up biscuits that were scrumptious! The food is minimal with biscuits, scones, and some fridge items, like pre bought hard boiled eggs and vegan chia pudding. Love, love, love! This is exactly my type of spot. I love a good, local coffee shop with vibes and delicious pastries and comfy seating. Insomnia was just that. Walls of windows, comfy chairs, amazing pastries and great coffee. We came both days and hung out for a bit and made plans for the day here. It has plenty of easy street parking but there are also free lots nearby and it's very walkable to the rest of the town and shopping. Friendly staff and anything from their baked section was phenomenal. We tried cookies, lemon poppy and peach scones and their savory scone with Asiago cheese and rosemary I think. It was SO good we got two every day and indulged. Their apricot green tea is also very good. read more

Upon arrival, I took the last parking space in the parking lot behind the building. However, there is street parking around the building and an additional public parking lot about a block behind the building. Walked in mid morning on a Tuesday and only waited in line behind one person before my order was promptly taken by a friendly cashier. Order was ready within 5-10 minutes. The latte art was beautiful on my Aztec mocha but it was too hot to drink. When I was able to finally drink it, it had hardly any sauce/syrup in it, and thus had no flavor. Unfortunately I did not end up drinking it. There were plenty of people seated in the tables at this time but there was one left when I arrived. The vibes on a weekday are definitely different than the weekend. It looks like they sometimes offer online ordering but it hasn't been available a single time that I have tried to use it. They get packed on the weekends and will have a line out the door so plan accordingly. read more

We come to Cannon Beach every year and used to go to Insomnia exclusively. In our last visits the staff frequently ignores us when we arrive and act like they are doing us a favor making a coffee for us. Today we arrived at 2:50 to order a coffee for tomorrow morning to see they had closed for the day. The lights were on there were people in the restaurant but the door was closed and locked. As we walked around the building a worker was walking out the back door and my sister approached her and said , "it says you are open til 3 can I order a quad latte" the girl said they were short staffed but allowed her to go in and purchase the coffee. This lands on the best side of interactions we have had at this shop. She may have caused us to come back again but there is not a friendly attitude here in general and lots of coffee shops to choose from. read more

Grabbed two latte's in the morning. I loved how dog friendly the Insomnia Coffee shop was. They have a little outdoor seating, a dog water dish and cookies inside for your fur babies. The vanilla latte taste great. The lavender latte was alright. The ambiance inside is beautiful, modern and clean. Parking is located in the nearby parking lot surrounded by storefronts. Pacific coast beaches are unlike other beaches ..you wont catch anyone sipping on margaritas or pina coladas. But one would however find really long lines on coffee shops ,so much so that the store closed the doors so that no more people come inside. I was with a big group and everyone wanted a hot beverage and Insomnia was the closest to the beach. The line was long to say the least and I probably stood there for a good 20 minutes before I could order and then another 20 for my order to be ready. The drinks were well made and reasonably priced (as reasonable as one can get at the beach) except for the chai latte ..which was straight away thrown in the trash . The store is cute and inviting and there is plenty of seating. The staff is alright but I think they were so swamped with customers that they barely had time to smile or say hello. read more

Coffee was lacking and they fill them with so much foam they are practically only half full once the drinks settle. We ordered 2 white mochas and 2 hot chocolate's for my 8 and 5 year old. I wanted a smaller cup so I could pour some for my 2 year old and they said they had to charge me for it. Just behind me on the water service table were also small white cups I ended up using.
