The insomnia cookies are always a good dessert pick up indeed. I like the fact they have vegan options...a little sweetness for everyone! Even for those sensitive to gluten...gluten free cookies available.service was decent ,and the Ambience was comfortable and wide open. So about 2 weeks ago a co-worker shared a cookie with me from this location. I never heard of the place but after trying the cookie I decided to order some for myself. The result was the same. They were delicious!Both times the delivery drivers were very courteous and prompt in their delivery. The cookies were beyond amazing! Even several days later the cookies were just as soft and fresh as they were the day that I bought them and my husband absolutely loved them but I could only share one of the specialty cookies that I got for him. Of course, I had to order more. I even ordered them for the nurses who took care of my father at the hospital. I'm sure they will love them. We had a good experience last night. Emily helped us out and was very passionate and detailed on options. It was almost liked she owned the place. She had a great attitude and was helpful. We're visiting from California, never been to Ohio before. I ordered 2 big cookies with 3 scoops of ice cream, Emily suggested a few different ice cream flavors. I took some of her suggestion and went with it It was good, I was not disappointed. Cookies were hot and seemed fresh. I've cream was good. It was a good deluxe ice cream Sandwhich. I come to this location regularly and always order the same thing--a peanut butter cup cookie, and a salted caramel cookie. When I walk in the staff recognize me and ask if I want my usual order. It's like cheers except with cookies, a place where everybody knows your name. The store is always clean and the product is always quality. The staff is friendly and engaging. Ordered cookies for delivery through their website, doordash delivered them to the wrong hotel. I called the store and "Santana" answered (if that's her real name - I had to ask her twice for her name) and had terrible customer service and got smart multiple times. She sounded like a younger girl, working around 915pm on 4/23/24 at this location. If your delivery service messes up, that is your fault, not mine. I put the correct address on the order and doordash messed up. If they were confused about anything, they could have also called my phone number which was also ON THE ORDER. Who'd of thunk that Akron, Ohio and would feature an insomnia Cookies? Not me. Overall a quiet location I was upset to learn that so many of the cookies upon my visit were sold out but the cookies were definitely underpriced but then again they're way more filling than your dollar brand cookies. Let me preface that pre-pandemic, I used to go inside at least once a week for 2 years. Their staff were friendly and prices manageable. Now it's summer 2022, Saturday night. I go in during a busy time and wait in line for 15 minutes (not a problem) only to learn when I'm being helped that they can only accept cash (I didn't have any). They did not have any sort of sign to say so, and they refused to put one up when I asked if they could for the other people in line (who also were inconvenienced by this). Ok, fine. I go to the ATM, and get back in line for 15 minutes. Then with cash in hand I put in my order. The staff tell me they have none of the cookies I want, and I asked for half their menu (I asked for regular stuff they should have in stock, not the exotic cookies). Staff were incredibly rude, talking to other people when I am in the middle of expressing my concerns and asking questions. Completely ignoring me, refusing to offer any help or to do anything beyond stand at a desk like a zombie. Cookie prices have doubled since I was last there. It's now $20 for a dozen cookies and they are not that big. I can buy the same kind in bulk from the supermarket for half the price. Quality is no different from what I can smell. Overall, this place turned into a dump and rude establishment. Never going back there again. I refuse to patron an establishment with rude, inconsiderate staff and overpriced merchandise. read more

Instant attitude adjustment. Having a warm, fresh, gooey chocolate chunk cookie is the remedy for most of what ails you in life. As others have mentioned: They age incredibly well and are still remarkably tasty the second day. Usually I love Insomnia but for whatever reason all of our cookies tonight were hard and didn't taste fresh the way they normally do.

I mean what isn't to love about hot, fresh, delicious, half baked, ooey-gooey, cookie dough goodness? If you can't tell, I love the cookies here. Even the ice cream and brownies are absolutely delicious. Whether it's a regular chocolate chip or a deluxe s'mores cookie or a chocolate mint or deluxe peanut butter cup it is all amazing. Insomnia Cookies recently opened in Akron and replaced Caroline's Cupcakes, another sweet tooth for another sweet tooth kind of place. My first thought when seeing this new establishment was, "why?" and then followed by, "how is this place going to last?" It's nestled in-between a couple bars and some far to expensive/upscale student housing. Hope they stay open late! We ordered 2 jumbo cookies, 1 peanut butter chocolate and 1 s'mores. The size of these is nice, i definitely didn't need more than 1 to get my sweet tooth fix. But besides the size I was still annoyed. At $2.50 a cookie, lets be honest, that's pretty expensive. I mean, I'm a 27 year old with a full time job as well as my husband. We have our disposable income yet I still felt bad spending $2.50 on a cookie. Then $16 for a sampler and $6.50 for an ice cream sandwich? Yikes. Maybe this pricing works in their NYC market but I cannot imagine it working in Akron. Next thought- are these homemade? Mine basically tasted like the cookie dough you buy at the store and worse yet even kind of had the burnt taste to it but it wasn't burnt. Don't get me wrong, it was still delicious but at $2.50 it better be a kick major butt kind of cookie. I ordered "The Sugar Rush," which comes out to be 12 cookies for $12 -- cheaper than ordering individual cookies at $1.25 each. My selection consisted of Peanut Butter Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Snickerdoodle, Double Chocolate Mint, and Double Chocolate Chunk. The Peanut Butter Chip cookie was especially noteworthy! A lot of chips and great peanut butter flavor overall. I also loved the Double Chocolate Mint! The other cookies did not disappoint either. Moreover, the cookies were not too sweet.
