The insomnia cookies are always a good dessert pick up indeed. I like the fact they have vegan options...a little sweetness for everyone! Even for those sensitive to gluten...gluten free cookies available.service was decent ,and the Ambience was comfortable and wide open. I noticed the cookies are getting a little thinner for the same price,which was a bummer...but such is life. I do recommend this place in need of a sweet tooth fixing. Definitely pricey for what you get,but the taste is there. Cookies for all!!! read more

Prices have went up by $1.24 for a single cookie. that's right, a 54g (not even 2oz) cookie is $2.99 6 cookies for $16.50 and a dozen for $30? Absolutely goofy. The cookies never got bigger, yet we're paying about double?! Naahhhh read more

So about 2 weeks ago a co-worker shared a cookie with me from this location. I never heard of the place but after trying the cookie I decided to order some for myself. The result was the same. They were delicious!Both times the delivery drivers were very courteous and prompt in their delivery. The cookies were beyond amazing! Even several days later the cookies were just as soft and fresh as they were the day that I bought them and my husband absolutely loved them but I could only share one of the specialty cookies that I got for him. Of course, I had to order more. I even ordered them for the nurses who took care of my father at the hospital. I'm sure they will love them. Peanut butter has always been my favorite but now I'm really loving the oatmeal walnut. read more

We had a good experience last night. Emily helped us out and was very passionate and detailed on options. It was almost liked she owned the place. She had a great attitude and was helpful. We're visiting from California, never been to Ohio before. I ordered 2 big cookies with 3 scoops of ice cream, Emily suggested a few different ice cream flavors. I took some of her suggestion and went with it It was good, I was not disappointed. Cookies were hot and seemed fresh. I've cream was good. It was a good deluxe ice cream Sandwhich. Went to use the restroom afterwards and restroom was just cleaned. Hospitality and service and taste was good I'd recommend and go back for sure read more

They don't have super fancy flavors with goopy toppings and sauces because they don't need them! These cookies are straight out of the oven into your box! They are warm and melty and AMAZING!!!! We grabbed a box after an event at the Akron Civic and we will absolutely be back! read more

I come to this location regularly and always order the same thing--a peanut butter cup cookie, and a salted caramel cookie. When I walk in the staff recognize me and ask if I want my usual order. It's like cheers except with cookies, a place where everybody knows your name. The store is always clean and the product is always quality. The staff is friendly and engaging. Ordered cookies for delivery through their website, doordash delivered them to the wrong hotel. I called the store and "Santana" answered (if that's her real name - I had to ask her twice for her name) and had terrible customer service and got smart multiple times. She sounded like a younger girl, working around 915pm on 4/23/24 at this location. If your delivery service messes up, that is your fault, not mine. I put the correct address on the order and doordash messed up. If they were confused about anything, they could have also called my phone number which was also ON THE ORDER. Terrible customer service though, which is the whole reason for this review. She claims she replaced the order for delivery, we'll see if I receive them. read more

Who'd of thunk that Akron, Ohio and would feature an insomnia Cookies? Not me. Overall a quiet location I was upset to learn that so many of the cookies upon my visit were sold out but the cookies were definitely underpriced but then again they're way more filling than your dollar brand cookies. Staff here is friendly. Thankfully they have vegan options for the pickiest of cookie eaters. Parking is a giant pain in the butt too. read more

These were a good little snack. The construction right now makes it a bit of a jam to get to. They are slightly overpriced but for a warm, gooey cookie, it's definitely worth binging on. We got a small box of 6 cookies, looks like a mini pizza box, it didn't take long for us to devour them. read more

I believe insomnia overall has been on a slow decline since 2017. The past 3 times I been here the cookies were half burnt or rock hard. On top of that there is cheaper and better options in the area. not the worth time or digestive effort. read more

Let me preface that pre-pandemic, I used to go inside at least once a week for 2 years. Their staff were friendly and prices manageable. Now it's summer 2022, Saturday night. I go in during a busy time and wait in line for 15 minutes (not a problem) only to learn when I'm being helped that they can only accept cash (I didn't have any). They did not have any sort of sign to say so, and they refused to put one up when I asked if they could for the other people in line (who also were inconvenienced by this). Ok, fine. I go to the ATM, and get back in line for 15 minutes. Then with cash in hand I put in my order. The staff tell me they have none of the cookies I want, and I asked for half their menu (I asked for regular stuff they should have in stock, not the exotic cookies). Staff were incredibly rude, talking to other people when I am in the middle of expressing my concerns and asking questions. Completely ignoring me, refusing to offer any help or to do anything beyond stand at a desk like a zombie. Cookie prices have doubled since I was last there. It's now $20 for a dozen cookies and they are not that big. I can buy the same kind in bulk from the supermarket for half the price. Quality is no different from what I can smell. Overall, this place turned into a dump and rude establishment. Never going back there again. I refuse to patron an establishment with rude, inconsiderate staff and overpriced merchandise. read more

Instant attitude adjustment. Having a warm, fresh, gooey chocolate chunk cookie is the remedy for most of what ails you in life. As others have mentioned: They age incredibly well and are still remarkably tasty the second day. I froze some of them, only to reheat them in the oven for a few minutes, and it was like a newly baked cookie. (Maybe this is cheating or against store policy. Whatever: It was delicious.) I mean what isn't to love about hot, fresh, delicious, half baked, ooey-gooey, cookie dough goodness? If you can't tell, I love the cookies here. Even the ice cream and brownies are absolutely delicious. Whether it's a regular chocolate chip or a deluxe s'mores cookie or a chocolate mint or deluxe peanut butter cup it is all amazing. I recommend you get 1 of each and a pint of milk to wash it down. read more

Insomnia Cookies recently opened in Akron and replaced Caroline's Cupcakes, another sweet tooth for another sweet tooth kind of place. My first thought when seeing this new establishment was, "why?" and then followed by, "how is this place going to last?" It's nestled in-between a couple bars and some far to expensive/upscale student housing. Hope they stay open late! We ordered 2 jumbo cookies, 1 peanut butter chocolate and 1 s'mores. The size of these is nice, i definitely didn't need more than 1 to get my sweet tooth fix. But besides the size I was still annoyed. At $2.50 a cookie, lets be honest, that's pretty expensive. I mean, I'm a 27 year old with a full time job as well as my husband. We have our disposable income yet I still felt bad spending $2.50 on a cookie. Then $16 for a sampler and $6.50 for an ice cream sandwich? Yikes. Maybe this pricing works in their NYC market but I cannot imagine it working in Akron. Next thought- are these homemade? Mine basically tasted like the cookie dough you buy at the store and worse yet even kind of had the burnt taste to it but it wasn't burnt. Don't get me wrong, it was still delicious but at $2.50 it better be a kick major butt kind of cookie. The saving grace of this place might be that during semester they will be open until 3am and they do deliver. So basically they are the Jimmy John's of sweet tooth's. read more

Their cookies totally hit the spot! So at first, I was a bit apprehensive about ordering from Insomnia Cookies. After all, it is located in Akron, and 90% of the restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets in Akron sell stuff that really should not be eaten. Nonetheless, word spread quickly among UA students that the cookies here were pretty good, so I thought I would give it a shot. I ordered "The Sugar Rush," which comes out to be 12 cookies for $12 -- cheaper than ordering individual cookies at $1.25 each. My selection consisted of Peanut Butter Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Snickerdoodle, Double Chocolate Mint, and Double Chocolate Chunk. The Peanut Butter Chip cookie was especially noteworthy! A lot of chips and great peanut butter flavor overall. I also loved the Double Chocolate Mint! The other cookies did not disappoint either. Moreover, the cookies were not too sweet. The best part - they DELIVER UNTIL 3 AM! When the cookies arrived, they were still warm, as if it were fresh out of the oven! Insomnia Cookies is perfect for those late night cram sessions. The cookies and ice cream are fine, they're not the best around but I really cannot get around how rude the staff is. The female cashier when we were there truly seemed to want to be anywhere but there, didn't really want to help us, refused to listen when my kids tried to order for themselves and made adult repeat it for them to listen, even when looking at them. I have my fair share of favorite cookies in Los Angeles. So, when my cousin took me here claiming that these cookies are the best, I was a little skeptical. I mean, how good could they be? Well, she was right. These cookies are incredible. They're served warm and fresh. I know there are many places who serve them the same way. But, here's what separates them from the rest. They're just as good after they've cooled. And they're also good the next day. They don't turn into rock disks that can be used as weapons, which, to me, makes them worth every penny. read more

Went in and there was only one person ahead of us. Employees weren't very friendly and we felt unwanted. We ordered a brownie with ice cream and the employee placed a rock hard room temp brownie in a plate with the ice cream and couldn't even close the box. The ice cream was almost flavourless and after we microwaved the brownie we were able to chew it. All of that for 10 dollars? Absurd. read more

I went in on Sat. at 5pm. Freezer down, no ice cream, and a long list of things that they were out of hanging on a dirty looking counter. Place was empty, not very clean. I waited about 10 minutes and was never greeted and never saw anyone at all. So I guess I can't rate the cookies. Why be open at all:( read more

Awesome staff. Ordered 12 cookies, 4 were gluten free. The gluten free cookies were separated from the other cookies. The person at the register had a sick outfit and awesome cat ears. They even stretched our coupon for one free ice cream to accommodate all four of us and gave us free toppings. Only four stars because the cookies were kind of average, but we didn't buy them warmed or as part of an ice cream sandwich. Additionally, there was only one flavor of gluten free cookies. Would have given 4.5 stars if I could have. read more

Love love love this place! After I had one of their cookies, no other cookie could compete! Always go here after work, because they're open late! Service is wonderful, never had any problems with anyone working there. While making this review, I'm thinking I'm gonna go and get me a cookie and ice cream.. like right NOW! I love insomnia cookies! Honestly they are a little pricey for what they sell. But if you don't have an oven and you're just lazy insomnia cookies is the place if you need a warm cookie pick me up. Their chocolate chip cookies are gooey and so good. My favorite are their snicker doodles. The staff is friendly. Service is fast. They deliver pretty quick as well. I have no complaints. read more

Holiday Gliebe in the last week Unfortunately, I have to give them the worst review possible due to bad business practices. Although Insomnia Cookies quality is great, I would not recommend doing business with them or giving them any of your money. For the outrageous prices they charge on top of their greedy and wasteful business practices, I would not give them one penny of your money. They were asked if they would donate cookies to a local Akron elementary for a class Christmas party, but not only that, to DONATE THE COOKIES THAT THEY THROW AWAY IN THE TRASH EVERY NIGHT THAT DO NOT GET BOUGHT DURING STORE HOURS. It took days to get a response. One response was from someone who did not know what was going on and another person who responded said, "due to the nature of so many requests they are not donating at this time." In absolute disbelief and shock, I followed up by checking on their website for a company owner name and saw that they just added a new link specifically for cookie donations and fundraising. WOW. Don't be fooled, people, they wouldn't even donate 25 cookies to a bunch of kids for Christmas and throw their un-bought cookies away at night, save your waistline and don't waste your time or money with these people.
