We ordered the Big'wich, a cookie sandwich with icing in the middle. Our cookie choices were the chocolate chunk and oatmeal raisin, both warm and incredibly tasty. However, I found the icing to be a bit too sweet for my liking. I wished I could have tried the Cookie'wich, which has an ice cream filling, but unfortunately couldn't since we did a takeout. The cookie takeout was to celebrate a birthday while in the area, and we were pleased to find one of the few places open till midnight. It's worth noting that they have convenient hours, open until 3 am most days, perfect for satisfying those late-night cookie cravings.

Seriously a hit or miss!! I've been here probably about ten times over the past few years. I looovee my desserts. The last time I went, the cookies were AMAZING!!! Some of the best I ever had. Perfect texture, not over or under done. But, you really never know. Sometimes I stop by for a cookie and its real mediocre, one time i came for a pack of 6 and they were all hard as a rock. Really depends on your luck! Anyways, great staff, not usually crowded, but service is quick regardless. Ice cream is pretty good. I like their unique flavors. Maybe a little pricey, but Not as expensive as Crumbl. Cute small place, clean and bright. I Recommend! But ya never know!
Really cute cookie and ice cream parlor near the UB north campus. The cookie I've cream sandwich my daughter selected hit the spot! Snickerdoodle cookie and vanilla ice cream for a little under $6. She enjoyed it but said it's not the best cookie or ice cream she's had lately. A nice addition to the restaurants serving the college crowd and Amherst locals.
This review is mostly about the online ordering process and super quick delivery. My entire process took under 20 minutes. I think this might be the way to go, instead of the store, as in my experience the store front was brutal with the lines and not having many cookie options thus having to wait a long time for your order, or going home without what you really want. There was a coupon for a free 6 pack of cookies with an order over $10. I used that and ordered another 6, for a total of 12 cookies. I like that you can see where your order is; baking, out for delivery, and you're next. I followed it the entire time, in between other tasks. I asked for my order to be contact less and for it to be delivered on the porch. The delivery guy actually put it on the couch on the porch, and I was impressed by that since most delivery people actually put it on the porch. It was nice that this delivery driver had common sense. The cookies were warm and magical as usual. They are a little sweet though.
Well I finally got to try the cookies and I'll say I wasn't very impressed. The person who served us seemed annoyed we came in and was on the phone most of the time she prepared our order. The box is really cute but that's where the positives end. The strawberry Chocolate cookie was the most revolting dessert I've ever had. The vegan Birthday cake one was literally not even cooked. Basically like eating raw cheap cookie dough. The chocolate mint one tasted more like toothpaste than a cookie. The peanut butter one fell apart in 2 seconds and was so sticky. The red velvet one was decent but still nothing compared to crumbl. I got the super pack so it came with a Brookie. Like a brownie you'd get in a microwave meal. Bad server and bad cookies. For 2.83 per a cookie when you do the math it's a disgrace! You'll be much happier with crumbl.
One thing that I've been missing about New Haven since relocating to Buffalo was this magical place that you could get warm cookies and ice cream until 2:00AM...and that place is Insomnia Cookies and it's finally here in Buffalo! I found my way here last weekend after seeing a movie at the near by AMC Theaters and needing a sweet treat after. This location looks pretty identical to all the other ones and features a decent selection of cookies and Perry's ice cream to go either with them or in between them. I ended up ordering a cookie sandwich because that's really all anyone should be ordering. I got the cookie dough ice cream between a chocolate mint cookie and an M&M cookie and it was absolutely scrumptious. The cookies were warm and soft while the ice cream was, well, it was ice cream. It's the perfect combo and everyone should be checking this place out. My only complaint is that they sell milk for like $3 and that is absolutely mind boggling. Either way, the ice cream and cookies at this place are delicious and it's something that needs to be tried by all so do yourself a favour and come check out Insomnia Cookies!

This is a very small store front and it seems as if college students mainly are working there. When you walk in there are a few chairs to sit and have a chat with friends. The menu is on the wall and they offer a monthly special cookie. Download the app and find some special offer options. The cookies are delicious and heavy in flavor. They manage to stay warm for quite some time. The store is always busy with folks coming in to try cookies, brownies or even ice cream. They are definitely worth trying

We came here after dinner, husband decide to get some cookie. We saw this store across the street and walk in, he is so excited with all kinds of cookie they had, so we end up having 3 peanut butter cookie and 2 dark chocolate cookie. Oh, still warm and taste delicious! Definitely a delight!

My son ordered these cookies and they were super good! Unlike the usual competition for cookies, these were like the type you make homemade in your own oven and get fresh out of the oven, unlike its competitors where the cookies are ginormous or have a bunch of extra bells and whistles. I've recently become enamored by baking, baked goods, and anything sweet and delicious! So when my boyfriend surprised me with some Insomnia Cookies, I was over the moon. I didn't get to see the inside of the restaurant or experience how the ordering process works, so this review is based solely on the cookies we got. Oh. My. Gosh. They are so soft, sweet, and buttery! They basically melt in your mouth when you eat them. So far I've only tried the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie (the best flavor cookie, IMO. Don't fight me on this one), but it's honestly one of the best I've had. We also got Double Chocolate Mint, Confetti Cake, Sugar, and Snickerdoodle. I'm sure the rest will be as delicious as my favorite flavor! The cookies were all over the place in terms of size, some much smaller and others significantly larger. Regardless, I want to come back to try more of their menu and treat my sweet tooth! read more

With speedy service and a smile i received my delicious cookies.They have classic cookies for $2.75 like mint cookies n cream, limoncello,Pina Colada,Red Velvet, Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Chocolate Chunk and the two I ordered Snickerdoodle and White Chocolate Macadamia.They also offer deluxe cookies for $4.50 and I tried the Oatmeal Chocolate Walnut and the Triple Chocolate, both amazing. Insomnia Cookies on Sweet Home Road is right across the parking lot from the Staybridge Inn and Suites. I stayed there for about six weeks Last Summer. Every time I came out of the hotel there was a line in front of insomnia cookies. One night I was doing laundry late so after I threw the clothes in the dryer I decided to go over and check out the cookie place. I stood on the sidewalk outside for almost an hour. So I ended up buying a couple dozen cookies brought them back to the room so my son and grandkids could try them to. Everybody absolutely loves them. The peanut butter cookies are by far the best I've ever had. But I am not patient enough to stand in line that long for anyting. Especially cookies LOL. What I discovered is that they have a nap and if you order them on the app you can pull up out front call and tell them you're there and they bring them to your car The reason that I gave them four stars instead of five is that there have been a couple of times when I've had an issue actually getting my order. The first time was back in August I had cookie shipped to a friend for his birthday. The order got lost in the mail. They did send a second order to replace it. Both ended up turning up at his house eventually but without anything showing where they came from even though I filled out the information I wanted on the card. The second time that I had an issue was actually tonight. My order was supposed to be ready at 5:45. I got a text saying that if I wanted curbside delivery to call the number in the text. So I called and it rang and rang and rang. Finally got an answer but it was a computer telling me the hold. It took almost 10 minutes to get a person on the phone and it wasn't the store it was their General customer service number. They told me that they would have to call the store to see if someone was available to bring them out. Normal if they didn't answer I would have just gone in and grab them but I had my grandson in the car and I didn't want to take the baby out of his car seat and out in the cold just to get cookies. Having said that my experience most of the time has been excellent and the cookies are worth the money read more
I had to update my review, now that I have been coming here a few times. Insomnia cookies, still makes amazing cookies. But there are two issues, that caused me to take away two stars. 1st. There is no excuse for having customers wait an additional 20mins, and at times up to an hour for their order. Especially since all orders at this time, are placed online with a pickup time. 2nd. They only have a limited supply of cookies, even though they have a display in shop. Showing all the varieties of cookies they make. When placing an order online, you notice many of the flavors you want are not available to you. This caused me not to purchase cookies at this point 3 times, due to the fact they don't have what I want. Maybe it's just covid, and that's affecting the inventory and service. If it isn't due to Covid, something has to be done to correct this matter. read more

Only available for delivery and pickup, but it was nice to get some cookies from an actual cookie store! We ordered two boxes of assorted cookies online in advance and then picked them up 30 minutes later. We got double chocolate, chocolate chunk, double chocolate mint, snickerdoodle, red velvet, and oatmeal chocolate walnut (deluxe). We delivered one of the boxes to a friend for him and his family and brought one box home. The cookies are on the chewier side and they were very warm when we picked them up. The regular cookies are pretty thin, so if you like thicker + chewier cookies, make sure you get the deluxe cookies! read more
Insomniaaaaaa... yummmmmm.. I've been to insomnia more times than I should ever admit and each visit has been great! Over the summer the employees knew who my friend and myself were. Always great customer service, always fresh and warm cookies and delicious ice cream. My favorite cookiewich is 1 snickerdoodle cookie and 1 sugar cookie with strawberry ice cream.. On occasion I will switch my ice cream to vanilla. I get off at 11p and I know I shouldn't take the drive to Amherst but on a nice summer night, I just couldn't resist. read more
Probably the best cookie you'll ever have (except gramma's secret recipe). They are served warm and fresh every time. The cookie-wich has icing in between the two cookies of your choice and the ice cream sandwich cookie is the same but with the ice cream flavor of your choice in the middle. Every cookie we have ever had from here has been good so I really don't need to elaborate much more than that. read more

Warm cookies...need I say more? Not to be mistaken for the massive cookies like Crumbl, but a good way to satisfy your sweet tooth late at night. The double chocolate was by far my favorite. For $4 I would pass on the brownie. I think the $2 cookies are a better value, even though the deluxe $4 ones are good. Service is a little slow, but your waiting for fresh warm cookies, so it's to be expected. read more
When we got here and saw the prices, I'll admit I was shocked. Having wanted the premium cookies mostly, and seeing they were double the price of the regular cookies- I was a bit upset at first but ordered a big variety box anyway. Turns out, the premium cookies are twice the size of the regular ones! So the price was worth it- I wish they told you or were photos for sale, because I had sticker shock. My favorite was the s'mores cookie, with the triple chocolate chunk second. read more

A college students dream - warm fresh baked cookies after a night of studying (or partying). No wonder Insomnia cookies was put near the UB campus where they are open until 3am. I, however, am not a night owl, so I visited around 11am as a reward after the gym (I'm pathetic I know) . Those cookies were a bit pricy ($10 for a six pack of medium sized cookies) but most of them I really enjoyed (especially the dark chocolate mint) I'd be back to try one of their ice cream sandwiches which they will make with any cookies you want! read more
I have heard so many things about these cookies. I've had people from other states speak fondly about them, so I finally broke down and went to try them for myself. The location is ideal for the company. It benefits being at the hub of a college area and close to so many hotels too. It's a small location, but it serves the purpose for running in and out. The service was fine. Nothing exceptional about it but nothing bad either. It was perfectly fine. I got the six pack. That was around $10. I tried the snickerdoodle, white chocolate macadamia nut, and caramel apple. Two of each of them. They came our hot and fresh. They are a decent size. They were melt in your mouth soft. They were good, and I enjoyed them. I have a serious sweet tooth and I love soft cookies. I didn't see what the hype was about. I expected more because of the hype, but it didn't disappoint me in general. I would like to try their brownies. They also make cookie sandwiches with a selection of ice cream flavors. There are maybe eight choices of ice cream. I would come back again if I'm in the area and want cookies. read more

So late to party with this place. Who doesn't love warm cookies. I always get the chocolate chip, but branched out and tried the new Spicy Hot Cocoa cookie with the giant marshmallow in the middle. The spice hits you in the middle of your throat 5 to 10 seconds after you eat it. Pleasantly surprised with it. Also tried the ice cream sandwich. There are no pics because when I got home the ice cream cookie sandwich was a bit of a mess...a covid casualty when taking out dessert. read more
Back again! My family loves these cookies. My personal opinion is that the cookies are too sweet for me. However, they are made to order and served warm which is a nice touch. Tip: order online. We ordered for 4:30p pick up but because of past experience we knew that it wouldn't be ready at 4:30 so we arrived at 5:30 p and still had to wait 10 minutes or so. read more

Fantastic cookies - warm and freshly baked when you get them. They also keep well for several days after purchase. I'm a chocolate chip guy and that was the standout for me - a little crisp with some gooey chocolate and that's a rap for me. Lost a star because they sometimes have staffing issues and longer waits when doing promotions. Always be on the lookout for the BOGO deal read more
