I have mixed feelings about this place. The whole experience felt so... dystopian. The person at the counter was handing out cookie boxes for pickup but was clearly not taking orders, so we figured out that all the ordering is done on the ipad-style kiosks along the side wall. No signage indicates this, you just have to know I guess. There is an example of each of the current cookies on the main counter, which was nice because the photos in the app were pretty unappealing and didn't look like the actual cookies, to the point I wondered whether the app is using AI pictures based on the descriptions. Payment is done at the kiosks too. There is very little human interaction. Ambiance: The waiting space is very tiny with no chairs or benches. Decor is sparse, visually uncomfortable, and uninspired. Cookies: Sugar overload. The cookies are large but spendy. They were so sweet and rich, we ended up cutting them in half and putting several into the freezer (cookies freeze perfectly). I liked the flavors, but nothing was mind-blowing or especially original. Cookie texture is moist and chewy, almost like brownies. Would I eat them if they are gifted to me? Yes, absolutely I would. Had my husband go pick up the order and it was the quickest time we have ever had to wait at Crumbl and it was Valentine's Day. Didn't know they censor your notes but good to know for next time the worker got a good laugh out of it lol. The Dubai chocolate brownie was worth the 3 extra dollars I paid for it. I would have probably paid more for it that's how good it was..Fresh strawberries slices on top... the strawberry heart cake was so moist and sweet. My daughter is in her cookie era phase and wanted to try the tres leches so i got her one while she was in school - - totally did the evil thing and texted her a pic ofc at 10am :3 Well, jokes on me cuz she was fine waiting til after school to run home and try it while i suffered through the agony of counting down the minutes to taste test it with her. Extremely clean and quick turnaround (depending on how busy they are). We placed our order, and within 5mins we had them presented to us to verify that they looked good. This was my FIRST visit to Crumbl. The place is so tiny & it was packed ! A few of us were in line outside the door. I got in & saw the 6 cookies they were offering. A few sounded good,but because they were almost $5 a piece, I figured I'd just get 2 and my son & I could split them both. You have to order them on a little credit card machine thingie , which they only have 2 of, so it takes awhile for some people with kids with them especially, to order their cookies. I ordered the "Wedding Cookie" & the "French Toast " cookie. They were so cute. It took about 6-7 minutes I think to get my cookies. They have you check them to make sure it's what you ordered & they look good. I got home & dug in. The wedding cookie was Delicious !!!! This week's offerings (5/13/24) French toast... was excited for this, but it did not land. Not a lot of French toast taste, very dense. The butter cream frosting was good. I definitely need it with every bite to semi enjoy. 2 out of 5 Sea salt toffee. Now, this was my favorite! So tasty and chewy. Definitely get the sea salt and toffee flavor in each bite. 5 out of 5 Wedding cake. Another home run! Sugar cookie topped with tons of deliciousness! 5 out of 5 Peanut Butter cookies and cream. I ordered online special treats for our college student. I didn't realize how quickly they would be delivered, less than a 1/2 hour from ordering. The delivery person was amazing, patient and understanding. They were able to leave at the office for my daughter to pick up. They remind me of the grocery store cookies you get that are soft baked and topped with that artificially sweet frosting -- I know some people love this kinda cookie, but it was never my thing. The cookies here are actually massive and just as sweet as they look -- it's really hard to eat more than a few bites of a single cookie at once. In terms of this location, the service is quick and efficient. There was a line out the door when we went, but it moved pretty fast and we were in and out really quickly. Crumbl offers a daily rotating menu of cookies prepared fresh throughout the day, and some are made to order. These cookies are quite pricy but large. They have a cake like texture, and every cookie is gorgeous in the presentation. I am now a regular there making a stop at least once a month on the way home from the gym. We came here on a whim during a snowy evening and found it to be crowd-free which was a surprise since other times when we were near the store (in a busy plaza), there was a line out the door! Every week they change their menu of featured/offered cookies and so you never know what to expect. You enter and there is a touch screen for you to place your no-contact order. You can choose a single cookie, four-pack and a few other options. You enter your name, pay by a variety of choices and then just wait for them to call your name and take our order. They were really fast! This current week we chose chocolate peanut butter chip, mint chocolate chip, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and brownie chocolate chip batter. They come out warm and look very mouth-watering! They are really good, but very sweet so I could only take small sections of each. 4.5/5 As a cookie connoisseur, of course I eventually had to find my way to Crumbl. :P I downloaded the app ahead of time so I could order ahead but didn't even end up ordering ahead and instantly regretted it when I pulled up to the store lmao. I was like "oh how busy could it be?" The store was literally rammed and people were even waiting outside to get their orders. So TIP: ORDER AHEAD VIA THE APP. Lol. They did have a "self checkout" iPad where you could order from, instead of waiting to order with the cashier. I ended up ordering on the iPad, which was quick and efficient. I had to wait maybe 5-6 mins before my order was ready, which isn't too bad. I got a 4 pack of cookies. The flavours I got were pink sugar, dulce de leche, maple oatmeal and chocolate chip. Pink sugar: probably tied with maple oatmeal for my fave out of the 4. I thought I wouldn't like this cuz of the icing but it actually wasn't too sweet and it literally tasted like those classic grocery store cookies...but way elevated and you don't feel as crappy after lol. Maple oatmeal: I loved the maple coating on this. Again not too sweet and the texture of the oats was different. Paired well with the chewiness of the cookie. Chocolate chip: this was also really good. Nice and chewy but not too soggy. Nice cookie dough taste. Dulce de leche: this was my least fave and would never get again. I didn't love the snickerdoodle like cookie and the caramel was too much for me. Overall,really delicious cookies and now I want to try so many other flavours lol. They have a nice texture and they are huge in size. I think I would place them in my top 3 cookie places. I paid about $23 CAD with the conversion, which is pretty expensive for 4 cookies. I love crumbl cookies. It's cool they have different flavors every week, and ordering online is really easy, especially when you can track your order being ready once you arrive in the parking lot. If you dont like the flavor you get one week, check back and you'll eventually find something you like. The staff are nice but the store is super small. Man, I'm so happy I'm not the only weirdo with pictures of car cookies! The line was fairly long, but the service was fast and friendly. In less than 5 minutes I had warm (and cold--looking at you, delightful, almond flavored sugar cookie) wonderful cookies in my hands, and then open in my car. The store is tiny, and though they split the space for incoming orders and outgoing cookies, there were quite a few people inside, so social distancing is not possible. Okay so I may or may not be addicted to Crumbl. I have a huge sweet tooth and had heard about them on social media in other big cities and was excited they finally opened in Buffalo. I have been several times now, usually about biweekly depending on what the flavors are. They recently had a price increase and I'm a little more choosy about when I order. I've learned I like fruity and cinnamon/snickerdoodle type cookies. I'm all about the frosting and toppings, and think that you get way more for your money vs a plain cookie.
