Insomnia is the only thing that makes me wish I didn't live in the suburbs. It's a must visit after concerts in Athens.

The cookies from here are always delicious, however, I have ordered delivery from them twice and both times I had to repeatedly call and sit on hold after waiting an hour and my order not updating on the tracker nor arriving. Both times I was told that there is only one driver and they are 20 orders behind. This seems to be standard operating practice for their delivery "services". Do not give this business your money. It is poorly run and has no interest in customer service or customer satfisfaction. Bake your own cookies at home. It cost less and you don't have to wait 3 hours and 3 phonecalls later to eat them. read more

At the time we visited, their credit card system was down. But, I understand that was beyond their control. I had the peanut butter cup cookie and the smores cookie. The Smores cookie was crazy good since it was fresh out of the oven. Yes, the cookies are expensive, but you gotta sell a lot of cookies to pay the rent these days. They have bottled milk and other drinks too in their cooler. I think a nice addition would be to offer ice cold milk served in glasses so you can sit down and enjoy your cookies the way its meant to be. lol read more

I've been an insomnia cookies customer for years at multiple locations. The cookies here are fantastic, but the service and delivery drivers are awful. For example, this evening I had a delivery driver tell me that I must meet him in the downstairs parking garage at night in the middle of a torrential downpour. The reason he gave was that he was not "allowed" into the building for "liability" reasons. Odd given that Insomnia has delivered to my same exact apartment within the last 3 months. So, why exactly am I charged a 1.99$ delivery fee + tip if you can't even effectively provide a delivery service? What do delivery drivers do when delivering to homes...wait on the sidewalk in order to avoid walking onto the property? I'm sorry to say that I will no longer be a customer to this location. read more

These cookies were delicious but I'm only giving 3 stars because we paid over $6 for two cookies. It was New Year's Eve night and we didn't even have them delivered, we walked in. Besides being overpriced they were good cookies. read more

Service sucks. Delivery time takes about 1.5-2 hours. Maybe just don't advertise delivery if it's gonna take 2 hours. I could've gone to the store, bought cookies, drove back, baked them, and eaten them, all before your cookies would even be out for delivery. Poorly run establishment read more

UGA Parents BEWARE! Your kids may never get what you order. We ordered a cookie cake for our son whose Valentines Day was focused on studying scheduling a 5:00 PM delivery which was confirmed/ promised between 5:00 and 7:00 three days ago. As of 9:00 PM tonight and without a delivery yet he called Insomnia Cookies customer service (which turns out to be a call center not in Athens) who proceeded to continually placed him on hold over 15 minutes while alternating between "we don't have your order in the system" to "oh we lost that order", to "no it's out for delivery", then finally "we are just now starting it" and "should be there in an hour or so". When he advised that his dorm closes down at 10PM they just said "oh". What a waste of $40 bucks on our end and valuable time on his. Do not use them. Send cookies via UPS instead as the gift we sent late Friday arrived at his dorm this Morning via their standard shipping ($11). Should have picked up something from our local bakery and enclosed it. read more

My nephew says the deluxe cookiewich with the peanut butter cup cookies and sea salt caramel cheesecake ice cream is delicious! It's cool that they deliver cookies until 3 am. I'm sure they do a lot of business with all the college kids. read more

I make an attempt to tip at least 25% no matter the establishment or even if I just order a drink, however, these are some of the RUDEST employees I've met and they will receive NONE of my money. Keep in mind, this is coming from someone who has plenty of empathy for workers in the service industry. I have also been coming here since the Athens location first opened, because although the employees SUCK, the cookies are great. While I'm able to understand a bad day or an unfortunate event, it is absolutely no excuse to allow the employees to speak in the manner which they do. I've had replies to my order include snappy remarks and no greeting or goodbye when entering or exiting. I walked in and proceeded to wait for a little under 5 minutes without anyone saying a word to me before walking out. I saw three employees total in the back. For me to be the only person in the store and have a 3-1 employee per customer ratio, this is ridiculous. read more

I hear the cookies are great but when I went to place an order I had difficulty online so I called the customer service line. THE RUDEST PERSON EVER took my order. He was awful. Acted like I was putting him out by placing the orders. Unbelievable really. read more

These cookies are so so so good. I love how Insomnia is open late so you can go whenever. It's my friends and my favorite dessert place to eat in Athens. Ordered online for two cookie ala modes, waited an hour and a half. Called twice. The first time they said it takes 45 minutes to an hour, to wait it out. Called back at 1.5 hrs for them to finally say their wifi was down and they hadn't received our order. Never once thought of offering anything for making us wait, or then cancelling our order. Worst managed place in Athens. Definitely don't use their delivery service. Only order delivery if you're okay with waiting 2+ hours and having the wrong order delivered. And if you decide to cancel your order instead of waiting over 2 hours for it to be delivered, make sure you follow up about your refund because chances are they'll forget to process it. read more

EVERY time I come Georgia, I have to stop by Insomnia Cookies. The employees are so friendly & the cookies of course are delicious. They also serve them warm, which is a big deal if you like cookies as much as I do. That's not even the best part, they deliver till 3 am. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Not gonna lie, when I attended UGA I probably late night ordered from Insomnia Cookies a minimum of twice a week. From the milk to the ice cream in between the Cookiewich, everything is phenomenal. The drivers knew me by name and even gave me leftovers when I ordered late and they were closing- angels. Favorite Cookie: Deluxe Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup (salivating while typing this) Second Favorite Cookie: Snickerdoodle The brownie is also heavenly. I don't think I ever ordered anything that I didn't enjoy... or couldn't finish. They always have deals going on like "6 cookies for $6" so make sure to sign up for emails. The cookies are yummy but only worth the money if you are downtown already. I've ordered delivery twice and each time it took sooo long. The cookies were cold and the accompaniment (ice cream once, milk another time) were lukewarm. Tonight was the worst experience, though. After waiting over an hour (I live less than five miles from the store), I got a call from the delivery driver. I clarified directions, which had already been made clear on delivery instructions. I got the feeling he wanted me to come down to him. After he said he saw my apartment, I hung up. Another few minutes and he still hadn't knocked, so I opened the door and saw him at my neighbor's door, having still gone to the wrong building. My boyfriend went out and got the order from the driver. We opened up the box to find three cookies; we had ordered a six pack! Plus they were cold. I called the number listed on the website and told the customer service rep my complaint. He said the store could have my missing cookies out in 30 minutes (it's 11:30 pm already). I said no way, we're going to bed. He said he could send a coupon for two "free" cookies. I paid for six cookies, so, guess what. That's not free! Will not order again. Paid $23 for three cookies, two bottles of milk, and to piss off my neighbor. read more

I ordered a six-pack of cookies to my dorm and insomnia was doing a promo that I could get 3 free chocolate chuck cookies. So in total, I would end up with 9 cookies... right? When I opened the box of cookies, there were only 7!!! They put all three of the chocolate chunk cookies in there, but left out two of the ones we actually paid for. We called the place and told them we wanted a refund for the cookies we didn't get and the lady was extremely rude and short. We were on hold longer than we were on the phone. We eventually got a coupon for three free cookies WITH THE PURCHASE OF $6 or more. Totally not worth it. read more

I ordered insomnia cookies one night at around 2 am (they stay open til 4am in athens) while studying for a test, thinking they would be delivered right away. However, thirty minutes passed and I still had no cookies. So I called the Athens location and no one answered. I held the recording to my ear for 10 minutes and waited for someone to pick up the phone but still no answer. THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!! don't go there and don't order stuff from them. they won't deliver. robbery. Update: they finally answered the phone but then they hung up on me. awesome read more

This insomnia location is absolutely unacceptable. The customer service is terrible. They mislead customers by giving completely False delivery times. They give no indication of whether or not there might be some sort of delay in your order. I made an order that was supposed to be delivered at midnight which did not arrive on time, and when I called to inquire about it, they told me that I could pick it up from the store the next day. The man working customer service who was trying to help me locate my order could not even get in contact with the store itself, and he called 4 times. Absolutely ridiculous. Would strongly recommend avoiding at least this insomnia cookie location if not the entire chain given the complete lack of respect for the customer and their time. read more

Better to pay with cash. They double charged my credit card and they do not have a local phone number. You have to call a corporate number for customer service. I have called and emailed 3 times, sent proof of the double charge and still after a week of this runaround, have received no refund. Their customer service is terrible and the service in this store was not good either. I will not be back. read more

So disappointed...I tried to have some cookies delivered to my daughter at her sorority house. What a disaster. I purchased the order at 12:00pm to be delivered at 5:45pm. At 6:30 I called them and they promised the cookies would be there in 30 minutes. I was the next order to go out. At 9:30pm I canceled the order that never even left the store.
