    Ice Cream on a Brownie

My go to place for cookies and Cookie'wich's! Love their cookies and brownies with ice cream. It's a small cookie shop, usually busy during the weekends. Most suitable for ordering in or pick and go. There's not much to say about the service as it's pretty much a grab and go experience. Perfect for a cozy movie night at home!

I was homemade cookies and what better place to go besides Insomnia cookies. It was nice and clean and everything was today. The refrigerator was fully stocked and everything was organized. I was instantly greater by staff and she was very patient as I was taking all day to order trying to figure out what I wanted. I will say the prices have risen, I was bummed out about that but hey....what can I do about it? I got enough cookies to satisfy my craving and let me tell you....my tastebuds were happy!

It's insane that there is an insomnia cookies located in South Loop now for all that late night goers who may be heading home from their adventures. My friend and I were on our way back from Old Town and decided to hit up this new location. Our detour took us down Wabash and finally to the storefront, where we saw the massive line of cookie munchers at a little past midnight. Being plant based, we went for the three vegan cookie options: Birthday Cake, Chocolate Chip, and Double Chocolate Chip. For a half-dozen ($8), we managed to get two of each in order for both of us try them. My favorite here was definitely the Birthday Cake. It hit the spot on a late Saturday night for sure. Most other cookie shops with vegan options tend to just have chocolate chip, so I loved that we can add the funfetti to my cookie this time around. Definitely a good choice!

I cannot resist ice and cookies, but together they're definitely a dream come true & insomnia cookie does it right! It's a small little joint, but the staff at this location are SO friendly. I decided to switch up one of my ice cream flavors in my cookie'wich last minute and the staff member was super nice about it & made our cookie'wiches quickly. It's a bit pricey, but I wasn't able to eat the whole thing in one sitting (two cookies w/ two scoops of ice cream) and it stayed yummy in the freezer when I ate it the next day. Highly recommend if you need to satisfy your late night sweet cravings!

I can definitely recommend the oatmeal raisin cookies. They were warm and delicious. These oatmeal raisin cookies will keep you coming back for more.

For pickup only, no place to sit and eat, so be prepared to have your ice cream melting in transport. I got the cookiewich and my cookies weren't warmed so they were very hard when I went to eat them. There was a flavor available that I tried - matcha latte & also got a birthday cake cookie, both those and the ice cream were really good, but almost impossible to eat as a sandwich because of how hard the cookies were.

It's located opposite of the cash register and menu. Service was friendly. Washroom (restroom, bathroom search terms) available. Decent amount of seating, serving as a solid space to study or get work done. Black Sesame Matcha Latte - while the black sesame graininess settled at the bottom expectedly, the matcha was clearly whisked well. There were no clumps of bitterness to be found. Despite sugar adjustments, this was still very sweet so I'd classify the spot as more desserty rather than strong matcha or a cafe. Though I'm happy to be proven wrong with their regular matcha in the future.

I wish I was able to travel with one of their cheesecakes but they require refrigeration. Anyhow the cheesecake itself was delicious super light, fluffy, and honestly felt like biting into a cloud. I had the salted egg but they had several flavor options that I would've loved to try if slices were available. The texture is what really stands out, and the flavor was unique and interesting in a good way. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it taste like, but it was sweet, but not too sweet They only sale but I consider a personal size but it's definitely enough to share with two people, maybe even three depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have. My only downside like others is the price. Paying around $19-$20 for a small cheesecake felt a bit steep, especially since they don't offer slices. I really wish they had smaller portions available so you could try different flavors without committing to a full cake prize. They package it very well and they also serve you a cute little fork set and a knife for cutting which I think is contributes to the price. The shop itself is very cute with chic décor and a lot of Asian-inspired artwork, which adds to the overall vibe. Customer service was friendly. When I visit Chicago again I'd definitely go back the texture and taste alone make it worth it but I do hope they consider offering smaller portions in the future.
