Too much going on for my taste, but great service I finally got to try a Crumbl cookie and went with the lemon flavor. The cookie was fine, but just not for me. It felt overly complicated--thick, dry, and a bit overwhelming in texture and sweetness. For the price and the wait, it didn't feel worth it. We decided to finally try crumbl. The place was a bit of a letdown. After seeing all the reels, I was very hyped up but the place was underwhelming in terms of both ambience, service and taste. Most of the cookies were sold out when we went it. We had to order everything ourselves at the kiosk. The cookies were ready in minutes. We took a to go box and decided to try once we came home. We got the mini three pack with chocolate chip, butter cake and caramel. The butter cake one was my favorite. The chocolate chip cookie had literally 3 chocolate chips in it. Skimping much? Each cookie had over 250 calories even though they were mini sizes. Overall, I don't get the hype about crumbl and I will not be back. Yeh cookies are definitely not worth the calories. read more

This location is on a very busy street, but the store is very small, no seats so it's designed to order and go. Cookies are large, so prices are as high. Now let's talk cookies... my favorite was the rainbow sugar cookie! As the name of the location mentions, the cookies WILL crumble. The peanut butter cookie is very sweet, so have a cup of water ready on the side. The chocolate chip, you can't go wrong with that one. Each chocolate chip was massive, and bold in flavor. I think it's worth trying them while in Chicago, but I recommend sharing. read more

I've had Crumbl cookies a bunch of times now and I have to say that I'm a fan of their whole concept and product and find myself a returning customer. This store is quite small- no seating inside, so it's more of a grab and go place, as are their other locations I've visited. You can order at the kiosk or just order ahead on their app, which is what I prefer since you can set your pickup time. I came ahead of my pickup time but they were accommodating and prepared my order promptly. At night there's usually a line out the door but weekdays during the day can be rather slow. I love that they have a rotating menu of different cookie varieties, so it's fun to check back each week on the app to see what new offerings they have. I actually prefer that their menu is pretty small, with only a handful of flavor choices to pick from. If they offered 15 different flavors at a time, no one could ever make a decision as to what to order. On Mondays, you can order mini cookies, which are basically just normal sized cookies since their "regular" cookies are humongous. I wish they offered their smaller sized cookies on a daily basis, or at least on more days of the week. The packaging is super cute, and the cookies come out warm and fresh if you eat them right away. $5 for a single cookie seems a bit steep but for the occasional dessert splurge it's actually on the cheaper side. These little cookie shops are popping up all over, so I decided to try this new-ish location on Michigan Ave. First thing to know: this is a take-to-go kinda place (read: no seating). Also one of the smaller Crumbl shops I've seen, especially for such a high traffic area (read: prepare for it to be busy). I visited during off-peak hours and was able to belly up to a kiosk, get my order, and receive my cookie all under 5 minutes. They definitely have their process down. I'm also not 100% sure on this, but it seems like they're cashless since the kiosks only have a card reader. Just something to note. I decided on the snickerdoodle cupcake cookie, which was the size of my face, for a little over $5 (without tip). Texture-wise, I wasn't expecting the outside to be crispy, and would have preferred the whole cookie to be as soft as the middle. The taste was ok but I wouldn't go out of my way to get this flavor again. Overall, I feel like Crumbl flavors can be hit or miss but I am a fan of the weekly rotations so there's always something new to try. read more

I have tried dozens of different Crumbl cookies. Dozens. And very few do I actually love. Their chocolate chip cookie somehow magically tastes overly sweet while also tasting like nothing. I don't know how that's even possible, but they accomplish it. People complain about the cookies being underbaked, but that's one of the few things I like about this franchise. With most cookies, underbaked is the way to go. That said, while the always revolving menu keeps people interested in what's next, I think they spend so much energy trying to come up with novelty cookies, that they fail to execute well with many of the basics. You don't need 4 new cookies on the menu each week. Make a few and do them well. I find the shops clean, bright, and friendly though. It's a cheerful place to walk into. And while I don't think the cookies are always executed well, I give them props for originality. PS: Don't eat an entire cookie unless you want to run 5 miles to burn it off. Some things are absolutely worth that. For me, Crumbl cookies just aren't. read more

I love banana bread so it was interested in that cookie...and it was fire. Legit tasted like a slice of banana bread with crunchy crust. So good. You order your cookie on a touch screen and they're ready within minutes! These cookies are HUGE. I could not finish even one. I was a bit underwhelmed though. Maybe it's because after looking at the names of the cookies, they make them half cookie/half cake or pie or whatever type of dessert they are trying to emulate, but it's just not cookie enough for me.
