The shop itself is cute and eye-catching, and the whole seating area around it is actually very nice -- clean, spacious, and filled with natural light, so it feels comfortable to sit and relax for a bit. As for the donuts, they worked more as a quick sweet fix than something memorable. The texture and flavor felt very heavy, thick, and overly sugary, almost like the donuts had been sitting coated in sugar for too long. Unfortunately, I personally didn't enjoy the taste and ended up tossing most of it out. Service was just okay -- not bad, but nothing particularly warm or standout. I arrived here around 2 PM on a Wednesday afternoon. I wanted to get one of My sons lunch before we did the sky deck experience. My son got the spicy cheddar bacon ranch sandwich combo. My other son and I were still full from brunch so we just got a doughnut each. I got the blueberry crumb doughnut and he got the birthday cake with sprinkles donuts. We enjoyed our doughnuts! My sons sandwich was ready around 2:06pm. It looked crispy and he says it was hot. He gave praises and no complaints about the sandwich. I stopped by Do-Rite Donuts for a quick pit stop before heading over to the Skydeck, and I'm so glad I did. The gentleman behind the counter was very sweet and welcoming. With so many tempting flavors to choose from, it wasn't easy to decide, but I went with the vanilla bean glazed donut. It was so good--soft, fresh, and full of flavor. Honestly, by the time I finished it, I felt like I should've ordered a few more! This is my go-to donut spot in the Loop. The location is convenient. The walk-in line moves fast. The pick-up process is seamless. Most importantly, the donuts are fresh and the selection is always well-stocked. My favorites are the old-fashioned, raspberry bullseye, and raspberry paczki. I have also expanded and tried a few other flavors that I have greatly enjoyed, e.g. apple fritter and blueberry crumb. For the Christmas holiday season, they have a gift card deal in which one can receive a $10 holiday bonus card with $30 e-gift card. The sandwich was well made and I liked the flavor, but unfortunately didn't live up to the spiciness I was expecting or hoping for. They have literally the BEST gluten free donuts I've ever tried (across four different states)! They had 3 flavors around lunch time on a Tuesday: cinnamon sugar, chocolate frosted, and birthday cake (white frosting with sprinkles). They are LARGE yeasted donuts that are fluffy, have some additional glaze on the side, have no weird after taste and remind me of the regular donuts I have been so sorely missing. As the show Severance has taught us, I enjoyed each of them equally. They're also still good to enjoy a day later. Highly highly recommend and I'm sad I don't live in the area to enjoy them all the time. I saw this next to Brown Bag Seafood in Willis Tower so considered trying it. Their website description makes it sound fancy with owners who used to work in Michelin restaurants. I tried: vanilla bean glazed, chocolate old fashioned, and coconut dream. Vanilla bean glazed appealed to me due to the vanilla bean. However the vanilla flavor wasn't pronounced to me. This was indeed soft and fluffy but not as much as I'd want. Normal. Chocolate old fashioned. I didn't realize old fashioned means the donut is crunchy and hard. It wasn't a pleasant eating experience for me. The chocolate was nice though. Maybe I'm better off trying the chocolate glazed next time. Coconut dream was less coconut than I expected. The coconut shreds outside were quite flavorless and only provided texture. The custard inside was just vanilla flavored and not too sweet. The best part of this place was the $1 coffee. I got it to help with digestion and to try out how Dark Matter Coffee is. Small was bigger than expected. Also I appreciate how good the coffee tasted. It wasn't watery or burnt or too dark. It was piping hot too which conceptually is nice but harder to drink first few bites. It paired well with the donuts. read more

Thus Do-rite location is inside the Sears/Willis tower. It was my first time trying their donuts and it exceeded expectations! I got the glazed yeast, meyer lemon pistachio, cruller, boston creme, blueberry crumble, and old fashioned. I was very pleasantly surprised by the cruller! Up until this point, a cruller to me was the ones from places like Dunkin - mini pinwheel shapes that looked pretty dense.This one was gour-to-the-met and it was delicious! Crunchy exterior and custardy interior, similar to the inside of a canele. You could see the vanilla bean specks as well. The other two that I'd get again are the glazed yeast and meyer lemon pistachio. The rest were decent but not my fav. It's unfortunate that the ratings are pretty low for this location because I really enjoyed the donuts and the service was efficient. Definitely try the cruller! read more

I had their donuts before which are very good, and today I tried the bacon egg sandwich with hashbrown side which was decent. The price was good for Chicago $5.99 for a sandwich and they serve them all day. The bacon was kind of fatty but the rest of the sandwich was pretty good. The hash browns are also pretty good and taste comparable to McDonald's.
