This was my favorite breakfast/snack spot to walk to from the hotel we were staying. The selection of goodies was just what I needed every day while on vacation. Coffee was okay but it did the trick to go w/a freshly baked pastry. Which by the way they set out several times in the day. So many goodies to pick from...

Paris Baguette is a busy bakery and café across Michigan Av. from the southern end of Chicago"s Grant Park at 11th St. I can't name all the wonderful-looking pastries they make, provided serve-yourself style on a wide array of displays. You gather what you like and circle to the cashier at the back, where you can also order coffee, tea, smoothies, frappes, etc. We had their smooth, slightly sweet Lavazza espresso, which i had without sugar or dairy. Excellent intensity and well-brewed without over acidity, without sourness or bitterness. We had a sweet cold brew coffee with hazelnut syrup, smooth and elegant. We had quite an array of sweets: a sweet dense Coffee-iced Croissant Donut, a luscious flakey Chocolate-Supreme-dipped Croissant, and a chewy sweetly-iced pink bumpy mochi donut with sprinkles. We had savories, too: a nicely-garlicky flakey Pastry-wrapped Frank, a rich 4-Cheese Quiche-square, and a lightly-sweet & lightly-salty crusty CrabMeat Croquette. It was not busy when we walked into Paris Baguette on a Monday about 9:15am, and all seats were filled in about 30min (Feb 2026). We stayed a pleasant relaxing hour and a half, enjoying fresh pastries and beverages, and people-watching on Michigan Av.

Paris Baguette is such a cute little place to meet friends and grab coffee. I got the matcha along with a few pastries, and everything was really enjoyable. The service was fast and easy, and there was plenty of seating, which made the whole experience even better.

While traveling I saw this place was very recommended and had been craving a good matcha, so we stopped and we all got a bit of everything, I order the vanilla matcha with cold foam, the chocolate croissant and a sausage bread, first of all the matcha was great, I am very picky with my matcha and I have to say 10/10! The croissant was also sooo good it had chocolate custard inside super good, lastly my sausage bread was sooo delicious, I loved tha we can pick ourselves what we want and they can warm it up for you, place was extremely clean and tidy and I thought it was so cute , the ambiance. The staff was super helpful specially since I don't know how the system worked since it was my first time there, they gave me recommendations and even let me try a bit of the matcha since I was scared not to like it! I will be coming back

Huge variety of enticing desserts SURROUND you soon as you walk in! Beautifully designed & organized croissants, baguettes, cakes, tarts etc arranged neatly on clean shelves in sanitary encasements. Start with a clean tray, baking sheet and tong and let it rip! You will be busy imagining every bite and feel like you're really in Paris. Every item is carefully bagged at the cashier. Choose among many fresh hot beverages to complete your trip. All the staff are impeccably professional, friendly & efficient. Convenient corner of Michigan & 11th St. Metered parking or east CTA access. Thankfully other locations like in Chinatown, perfect after dim sun especially.

Typically we aren't the biggest fans of chain bakeries because their food doesn't taste too fresh or maybe just misses a bit of the TLC a local one has, this has even extended to other locations we've had of this exact chain. However, whatever is going on at this Paris Baguette has us rethinking that sentiment a bit. The space was clean and the workers moved quickly. There is a wide variety of things for you to get here and the self-serve process is very easy to navigate. We opened a sliding door to one of the cases and it fell off the hinge knocking a pastry off our plate so we hope they looked into and fixed that. When we were done collecting a hedonistic amount of bites we headed over to order a coffee and sit down, all of which was speedy. Since we ordered so many pastries, we'll give a quick breakdown of each one: Pumpkin Scone - delicious with a firm bite, pumpkin flavor very welcoming Pain au Chocolat - a chocolate croissant, buttery and light with some chocolate throughout (could use more chocolate) Sugar Mochi Donut - simple but delicious, light and chewy. A very good sweet treat Pastry Frank - a hot dog in croissant-like bread. A worse version of a kolache, the one item we would say to pass on Grilled Cheese - delicious and well balanced, although the edges of the bread were a bit tough to work around Hash Brown Bread with Ham & Cheese - by far the best thing we had on their menu. Savory, cheesy, and salty all in one item. We would highly recommend it to anyone Iced Coffee - not the best, a lot of other chains do it a lot better but if you need the boost get it Again, Paris Baguette is a chain so with that comes chain expectations, but these were some pretty good pastries, and if the food is good the food is good. If you're looking for something quick or convenient then this is the spot for you, but if you're looking for a more local feel in your bakery trips then look elsewhere.

Wow, so delicious! The pastries are so good! You get to walk around with a tray and select what you want and then check out. I wanted everything so this is dangerous! I loved my donut and I also had a delicious chocolate and pistachio dessert too. My cold brew with cream was wonderfully refreshing. Plenty of seating. Clean restrooms. Bright light and big windows. Fun views of Michigan Avenue and close to Grant Park. Friendly and fast service.

Cheap pre sweetened matcha. Don't waste your time with their matcha. The cappuccino is alright. Their breads are decent. The cashier is not the friendliest. The breads are decent though.

This is an ideal choice for a quick, scrumptious bakery item and a drink! My realtor and I stopped in and I was blown away by the atmosphere and overall vibe! I had the Pecan Tart as a suggestion by a fellow patron and it was PHENOMENAL!!!!! I downloaded the app immediately because I know I'll be back to try some of the other pastries. The checkout was quick and service came with a wonderful smile!

This is such a cute spot! I came here for lunch the other day and had the most delicious turkey, cranberry and goat cheese croissant sandwich! This place has an amazing assortment of desserts. The red velvet cake is fantastic!!! Enjoy!

A nice bakery close to where we were staying in Chicago. My guess is that you have to go extra early if you are eyeing something specific, because all of the items we wanted were gone by the time I got there so I grabbed several other pastries. It was busy inside. It's self service to grab a tray and pastries and pay at the counter and they can box it to go for you. We were not disappointed in the pastries, all were very good. The coffee was okay, I tried the pistachio latte cold, I would try a different coffee next time if I come back! Overall goood spot, just go early.

The pastries are actually being shipped in from elsewhere (they have exactly the same one in coffee shops out in Naperville too lol). Which leaves nothing special here. It's also very small so it gets crowded and swamped pretty fast. You're really constantly stepping out of someone's way when you're just waiting for you order, so that's not ideal either. I was skeptical at first because it is a local chain, rather than a singular location. However, it lived up to the hype. Service: it was extremely busy when we came in. The line was almost out the door. They have a system in place for ordering and seating so it worked well and fast given how busy they were. We didn't have any questions on where to order or where to stand when waiting for a seat. The staff were friendly and helped us find a spot to sit at. Ambiance: classic cafe in a city. Loud chatter, but it's a vibe. Very colorful and fun interior with cool textural elements. We had a seat that was facing the street so it was fun to people watch as we sipped and ate. Food: amazing breakfast selection! We ordered the morning sandwich and barbacoa bowl. The morning sandwich had THICK scrambled eggs which were super soft and tasty. I could've used more salsa verde on it. The bread was barely toasted. I'd rate the sandwich a 3.8/5. It got the job done. The barbacoa bowl was "really good" according to my fiancé. A great source of protein, fresh ingredients, nice flavor, and great portions. He would rate it a 5/5. Coffee: I am a coffee snob so I am quite harsh when it comes to reviewing it. Their machine is a cute La Marzocco. Appropriate sized "for-here" glasses according to the drinks. Plus, they were really cute. Wide variety of drink selection from your standards to the more girly-drinks (if there is such a thing). We ordered a cappuccino and small hot mocha. Latte art 4.5/5, temperature 5/5, flavor 4/5. The espresso didn't stand out to me, very standard flavor profile. However, the chocolate in the mocha was delicious. It's more of a rich, dark chocolate. Nice thin layer of foam. We ordered the strawberry matcha and vanilla latte. The matcha came out murky green with an attempt of making it look nice with a chaotic splattering of strawberry puree/sauce (?). It tasted like it looked...trash. You might be wondering, "Well why would you order a matcha here?" And you would be correct. In my defense, you would think that if there is a drink on the menu, it would at least be somewhat good but now that I think about it, that might be too much to ask. Now to my #1 gripe, the latte. It was watery and nearly flavorless aside from the diabolical acidic taste that assaulted my tastebuds. For context, we HATE wasting food/drink; I could probably count on one hand how many times I've done that in my life. We threw away the lattes after a few forced sips; that should tell you how nasty it was. Bad coffee, bad drinks, it happens. But paying ~$8 for each drink really does rub salt in the wound. I will NEVER drink Intelligentsia coffee again. In the grand scheme of things, my review doesn't matter but if I can warn at least one other person about the atrocities this company commits to coffee/matcha, then maybe it will make up for the waste of money & time I spent here.
