I also enjoy the peanut butter chip Im not a huge chocolate fan so the triple chocolate chip is just ok but my neighbor said it was "Bussin', Bussin'!" LOL. These cookies are served warm. I can only eat one and they keep very well in the wax paper (extra charge but worth it to keep my cookies from getting stale. Customer service was pretty good. It was not busy at 6:45pm. The cookies are really delicious. I was eating one of the chocolate chip cookies and trying to figure out what made it so good. The chocolate chips morsels are very good! My husband also enjoys them. I'm going to give away my age here by saying this, but I remember the first time I had Insomnia Cookies-back when they first opened up at MSU. It was incredible then...so imagine my delight to learn that there was a franchise here in the city, just a little bit away from home for me yet again? To say I was happy would be an understatement! These fine folks have done an excellent job every single time I've ordered from them, and I have made some exceedingly large orders here (occasionally I'm nice and bring cookies in for my colleagues.) The cookies are always warm, fresh, and taste delicious. They do not miss. I love to bake, and I have to say that they easily put just about any cookie I've ever made to shame. These are the best cookies ever and should you decide to get a scoop of ice cream on top, you'll be floating on air when you finish it. Sure these are like a million calories, but, treat yourself! They have an app with rewards, too! This is an in and out type of place so be prepared to grab your treats and go. The service is pretty fast also, so they won't take up all of your day. read more

In the world of gourmet cookies, Insomnia's price is decent, I love that they serve the cookies warm and that they are open late night is a plus. However I tried two times and both times I felt something was missing in the taste. Sweet but not the cookie sweet I was hoping for. Great cookies but the customer service was not the best. I walked in and was not greeted. The girl had ice cream in her hand. I thought she would of spoke after getting the lid off the ice cream. She never spoke instead she said "I need someone to come here and help with this." I do not know if she was referring to me as "this" or just helping at the counter. I understand the people working are most likely college students but it is not that hard to speak. You should not be working with people if you can't speak. read more

The cookies are very expensive, (at approximately $2 EACH) it is not that I cannot afford the experience(which was average at best); however for the type of hype surrounding the brand I expected a little more pizzazz- less than 100 ft away (at 7/11) I can get the same thing with a price tag of 2/$1. I was told Insomnia Cookies won't accommodate people with peanut allergies. Before I decided to listen to hearsay, I wrote them. The response I received back was they do not accommodate people with peanut allergies, I should avoid going. I find this very interesting considering they have vegan and gluten free options. Although I am not allergic to peanuts, many of my family members are. Because of their stand on peanuts, we have decided not to patronize this company. All that made this area a big dead end it made no sense to venture into if you're not a Wayne State student or employee. This Sevs does some serious business. I'm guessing it does the most volume of any 7-11 in Detroit. Only the one on Jefferson between downtown and Belle Isle and the one in Cadillac Square offer any real competition and I'm guessing this college Sevs crushes em. Parking here sucks. I'm not keen to feed the meters and even if i was spaces are scant. Late night on the weekends, though, after metered hours, when I'm getting off my restaurant job grind and have a taste for some junk food this place is banging. Like crazy busy. Like I almost feel like I'm in an 80s movie or TV show where the convenience store is this happening hangout. There's more space here for hot food - pizza, wings, hot dogs, taquitos, etc - than I've ever seen at a Sevs and they keep it moving, too. The hot dogs are no doubt unhealthy but I at least feel like they haven't been rolling around on those metal cylinders for hours. The slurpee and Big Gulp stations are bigger than usual as well. And there's usually three employees on as opposed to the one or two you'd usually see. Even still the line at the checkouts gets stacked pretty deep - seven, eight or nine at times. One night I came in a bit earlier, around ten and it wasn't jumping, only a couple other patrons besides me. Late night, though, students with snack attacks are rolling deep. As you can imagine things can get pretty messy here sometimes with all that foot traffic. The employees do a reasonable job I'm sure but the customers just work even harder at tearing this place up. The trash can by the hot dog station just isn't close enough to it either. The cops are ALWAYS in here, too, even more than a regular 7-11. That night I came in earlier than usual was I think the only night I didn't see police in here and I've probably been to this Sevs at least 7 or 8 times by now. No good cheap dollar beverages here, they only stock the big Arizonas and even waters run more than a buck. They do actually have a couple functioning water fountains, though, for some reason. This 7-11 is just really extra and sometimes I'm in the mood for that and sometimes not. If you need late night convenience around here after the mighty Marcus Market closes and you don't feel like fighting the crowd here I recommend Midtown Market.

I would have given five stars but I'm not sure if it was Uber eats fault or the restaurant. I ordered from here the other night because the food is just fantastic. With that being said I ordered at 9 pm and it said it should arrive between 9:55 p.m. and 10:10 p.m. so come 10:10 p.m. I get on Uber and it still says they're preparing my food and that they can't track it to call the company to check the status so I called the company and they say if it's an Uber eats order deal with Uber eats so after the back and forth my food finally shows up at 11:05 no big deal because it's so good the way is worth it it was the unknown and then Uber sending me messages asking if I want to cancel the order not wanting to cancel it because I'm really looking forward to it showing up and then finally I get a text message that says food here. read more

Sweet Dreams Come True! Man, I don't know why I've been sleeping on Insomnia Cookies, but I'm wide awake to the fact that their cookies are the bomb! The cookie/ice cream combo is next level. I went for the purple ice cream with a confetti cookie, and let me tell you, it's the superior combo. My mouth is legit watering as I'm typing this. I'm definitely coming back for more. Only wish they'd expand their ice cream options, but I'm all about this concept of brownie/cookie and ice cream. Oh, and the service and interior inside? Does what it needs to do. This place offers some of the best cookies, though they're a bit pricey. I ordered the Pride 12-Pack, and each cookie was perfectly baked--warm, melty, and delivered in a special Pride Month box. Plus, $2 from each pack goes to inclusive causes. Great cookies and friendly staff make it worth it! I'll definitely be ordering more.
