They're open late which is great there's not a lot of late night places to get something sweet in Rochester so kudos there too. However having completely inept employees who can barely run your computer as well as selling ridiculously overpriced confections WITHOUT HAVING MILK AVAILABLE is where you completely lose me. We stopped in here late tonight to grab something sweet and the entire experience can be described as a clusterfudge. None of the employees were communicating in any sensible way with one another no one knew what anyone else was doing No one knew who was working on which orders. He had people standing in line for 20 minutes while take out orders were just hand it off to GrubHub drivers who didn't wait at all. The setup of the building makes no sense and causes traffic jams at the entrance. I just bought a $5.35 cookie. I didn't realize you had to pay extra to get a fully baked one. Mine had a significantly amount of severely undercooked cookie dough. It was only slightly crisp around the edges. It was warm, but I would have gladly traded 'warm' for 'actually cooked thoroughly'. I was walking by and smelled warm cookies and that could draw anyone in. This Insomnia Cookies location is extremely small but tucked away in a pretty cool part of Rochester. I live outside of the Insomnia Cookies delivery area but wanted to try them because I've seen their stores when I travel down to NYC and was curious what they were like. I made my way down to the Upper Mount Hope location for dessert after meeting friends for dinner at another restaurant nearby. There's nothing especially wonderful about these cookies, but they're certainly not bad. They're warmed up so the chocolate is nice and gooey (that is, if you get a cookie with chocolate in it, of course) and the taste is good. They're pretty standard as far as cookies go. I tried the M&Ms and Deluxe S'mores and both were good; the M&Ms was packed with M&Ms and the Deluxe S'mores was nice and gooey.
