I mistakenly bought a classy-looking two -piece contemporary sofa in "bonded leather" from a local store over ten years ago. I loved the the design -- still loved it after all these years -- but the bonded leather split, cracked and pealed. I gave Carolina Custom Design the task of reviving the old sofa -- this time with real leather -- and the photo below is the result. Looks like my contemporary sofa is now good for at least another ten years or longer, and the seating is much softer and more comfortable to sit on. Don't know what I would do without Karina Young and company. They are clearly miracle workers! Can't begin to praise them for their outstanding work!

So, I found these chairs at a garage sale about 15 years ago. They had the traditional 70s…read moregold/avocado green stripes that made you want to throw on a pair of bell bottoms and watch Saturday Night Fever. But I digress. Sitting in these chairs was an experience I haven't had in Ethan Allen or even Jeromes. They hug you and support you in all the right places. I feel a little regal, to be honest. The problem was they were an assault on my senses. And I don't own bell bottoms or Saturday Night Fever. My husband had Morales Upholstery do some work on a boat, so he recommended them to recover my chairs. I brought my own fabric (thank you JoAnnes Fabric clearance shelf) which they told me was a total score. The result? Comfy chairs that don't scare away guests. We did have an extra $50 charge for padding that was not in the original quote. This is reasonable considering the age of the chairs.
