Extremely unprofessional salon with no customer service skills. I've had about 6 lash fills with Diana, the lash tech, and most of my experiences have been very poor. 2/6 visits she cancelled my appointment within an hour of the scheduled time both due to illness. Life happens and people get sick, but as an adult and a professional, you should be able to manage sickness and cancel an appointment with enough time and consideration for your client to make other arrangements. There are salon rules and fees for the clients for cancelling an appointment within 24 hours, but there is nothing offered to the clients when the technician cancels last minute. During another experience I had with Diana, I waited an hour before my appointment started with no explanation. I had another appointment scheduled after, which I had to push back. During the appointment, there is no relaxation promoted during, but instead she proceeded to call the owner of the salon, Christine, and carried on a full conversation about how the hair girls were fighting over walk in clients in the front of the salon because it was their turn to make money. It is extremely unprofessional to discuss dirty laundry in front of other clients, but to find out my day off has been rearranged due to girls fighting over making money is extremely disheartening. I guess they view their clients as just $$$$ here. On a separate appointment with Diana, instead of relaxing during a luxury service, her child was constantly running in and out of the room whispering things in my ear during my service. The techs' children are always running amuck throughout the salon. It looks more like a daycare than a professional salon. I called the salon to express my concerns to Christine, and her immediate response was for me to find a new lash tech because Diana is a single mom of 3 kids and her clients are usually "more flexible". I'm not sure why I'm expected to be flexible when I'm the client. I'm asking for bare minimum, I made an appointment and I expected for it to be done at the time it was scheduled for, or for a cancellation within an appropriate time frame. She also included that lashes don't make the salon any money, so I guess it was not worth her time to attempt any kind of resolution. This salon is poorly managed and will not try to offer any customer service unless they see a financial benefit to it. I think your money and time would be much more valued at higher quality salons. read more

Do not buy a gift card from here!!!!!!!!!! I had a pedicure and it was great but I Found an old gift card I misplaced. When I got to the counter to check out and use the gift card I was told I could not use it. I asked why and was then told the gift card was expired. No where one the gift card does it say they expire. The gift card was a few years old but that should not matter someone paid for it but I guess they just keep the money. I had an Instabeauty manicure and pedicure today and they were wonderful. A few notes: They're located on Vets in the same center as JoAnn's and are so easy to find. The salon is beautifully decorated, spacious, and meticulously clean. The staff was welcoming and professional. I was impressed with the décor as soon as I walked in. Lots of white with black accents and pops of gold here and there. And it appears that this is a one stop shop for all things beauty. They do hair, nails, brows, lashes, massages and facials. Christine was my tech, and she was super friendly. She greeted me and showed me to a fancy, schmancy tall black tufted chair with a comfy back pillow to begin my pedicure. She had begun the foot bath and the water was perfect. I really appreciate that they use a plastic wrap bowl liner for each new client. The pedicure was lovely. No rushing, and she was a complete pro. My toenails look great. My manicure was just the same. And I don't know how you all feel about your cuticles, but mine are always dry and thick. Those chairs are fit for ROYALTY, like me!!!! I was introduced to Sweet, Sweet Chrissy... she's a doll. She was very friendly, informative & very welcoming. We chatted it up, until I became so relaxed, I didn't want to leave once the service was complete. The manicure I received was fit for a QUEEN. Chrissy was ever so gentle and paid GREAT ATTENTION to detail. She presented a colorbook, which was new sighting to me; I selected 168 white & 57 pink. The hand massage she gave was just what the doctor ordered as I did feel some relief in the wrist joints, hello... a manicure and a massage; WINNING!!!!! The massage lotion has such an intoxicating smell, until I felt like I wanted to sniff my arm and hands ALL DAY!!! Christine's Touch - she's been doing my hair since I was 17! That's ten years now! She is the best person to get your hair to that platinum blonde if that's what you want. And for really any other hair needs. Always super nice and accommodating. Just a text away when I need to book an appt. Onto the salon now. This place is massive! The front has booths for hair and possibly makeup and the back is for nails. There is also a room in the back for waxes, too. It's decorated nicely and super duper clean. Christy has been the only person to do my nails and she does a great job. My gel nails usually last about two weeks before growth is noticeable and chipping isn't usually a problem. I was greeted by incredibly sweet staff, offered a bottle of water, and I was seen right away (as a walk in). I went in for a manicure (dip polish) and a facial. The owner, Christine, did my manicure and it looks amazing. We had an awesome conversation and connected about being women who own businesses. She was friendly and real, probably the coolest person to ever do my nails. I got some rhinestones on my nails, this place is set up to do ANY nail art you could imagine. Ok and then the facial! The esthetician, Alou, was so knowledgeable and sweet! I haven't had a facial in years and Alou worked with me to find out exactly what my skin needed. I honestly couldn't be happier! I was a little nervous about dermaplaning, but it was done with a light touch and actually felt really nice. Even the discomfort of my chemical peel was barely noticeable over the chill music (I actually got to pick the music!) and warm, comfortable room. My skin hasn't looked this good since I was 18. I am absolutely going back and I am absolutely taking all of the advice Alou gave me about my skin care regimen. This place is massive and seriously is one of the largest spa and salon services I've ever seen. Did I mention I'm from Texas where the saying goes "the bigger the hair, the closer to God?" so that's saying a lot for me.... They had a soft opening special so I was able to get a manicure below the original price. After the experience I got I'll be going back for consistent manis because I was blown away by the services and outcome. My last manicure experience was at a Saks Fifth Avenue salon and it was horrible compared to the one at InstaBeauty. I remember my cuticles getting cut and bleeding, mishandling of my nails and just a "eh" attitude all around. I vowed manicures were not meant for me. Well lucky for me InstaBeauty changed my perception and I'm kinda addicted and want my next one already. There's about 15+ stations minimum for manicures ALONE here. You can also get pedicures, facials, massages, waxing, hair cuts and blowouts, and a few other services. Some of the steps they did with my nails were soaking them in some clear liquid (it felt nice), a bomb job on my nails, but what I was really impressed with was the sugar scrub, massage, and oils used on my hands. My little ten piggies were so spick and span they were shining brighter than Rihanna's diamond! What most impressed me is they didn't even use a nail polish simply a buffer. The care and attention to detail was astounding and I realize now after all these years this is the type of manicure service one should expect. I live in uptown and I'll be making the short drive here from now on. I may even be brave enough next time for someone to touch my feet to get a pedicure. You can enjoy a complimentary beverage while getting services although I opted solely for water at the time. MAJOR NOTE: They are super hygienic here and never use the same materials twice. All of the tools were sanitized and individually packaged. They also open them right in front of you which I loved. When you come in the receptionists and other employees are super nice and welcoming. They also have complimentary beverages.. water and wine (red and white). The music choice is great, very relaxing. I went in to get my nails done with dip powder and ended up being sat with a woman named Thao. SHE IS THE BEST!!!! Usually I don't have a specific place to get my nails done, I just go wherever is close. But this time I've found a place where my nail shape is literally perfect and I have no complaints about them. Beware if you have curly hair!!! I wasn't going to leave a review. I called and asked to speak with someone about an issue and they told me I could email them. That made me feel like they were blowing me off. At that point, I felt like I wanted to give people a heads up so they don't have to go through what I did. I requested a stylist with experience in cutting curly hair. It was obvious from the beginning when she started dry brushing my hair that she was not experienced and she confirmed it by telling me she wasn't and getting another stylist to attempt to help. It was a disaster! She butchered my hair and I'm still growing out. I don't blame her, I blame the management and/or owner(s) for not training their staff. She was very sweet and tried to fix it. She wanted me to be happy but there was no fixing it at that point. She cut my bangs when I asked her not to and cut a big portion of the side as bangs. Marisa is arrogant and rude, but seemingly only to a certain caliber of patrons as well as employees. Which is very overpriced compared to other salons. I tried to give Insta Beauty another chance. I scheduled a pedicure. I received a call from Insta Beauty which amounted to blackmail. Take down the negative post or go elsewhere. I was told until I remove the post informing people of the overcharge I cannot return to Insta Beauty. Beware....Insta Beauty lies to increase the cost of the service they perform and they will try to blackmail you into removing a negative post. Absolutely not. Do not. The rudest woman i've ever encountered in a salon. So rude the entire time. So strict and obnoxious. I payed for a $50 facial for my dearest friend on her birthday and the woman who took her back told her to follow her and when I asked the woman if I could go back she said "No". I was waiting for the joke but she was serious, and she turned around and took my friend. My poor friend came out of that facial very mad that her entire face was BURNING and RED!!!! She also mentioned how the lady SNAPPED at her because she wanted to TAKE A PICTURE.
