2010 Kia Sedona with 62k miles. Very casual zero pressure sales experience, which was great. When I went in I asked about the van, they copied my license and handed me the keys. I thought it was going to be - sales guy in the passenger seat grilling me about payments and what other expensive cars I might be interested in. Nope, just keys and 30 minutes to spend test driving. We got half a tank of gas, 3 kids in carseats, we're wearing sunglasses. We hit it! :P Chris knocked $200 off the price which I think was fair. The asking price was right in the middle of the KBB value range for that year and mileage. We've had the van for a little over a week and love it. Drives great, everything works. No leaks, no issues to speak of. Side note, surprised to see an ad for the Dave Ramsey Visa credit card in the bathroom as well, and finding out they held a FPU. Kind of an oxymoron at a dealership that offers financing. But to their credit I was never actually asked about financing or pressured to use theirs. The whole family recommends Boise Auto Clearance. Do not do business with the company. If they are unable to get you financed they will trick you to return the car and then not refund your down payment and then call the cops on you. The cops said this is a civil matter. We are hiring an attorney. They take advantage of young adults. read more

I am sorry to say but Boise Auto Clearance after purchase service is very poor. I purchased my 2013 Jeep Wrangler from them. I had a mechanic go with me to check the Jeep over before I purchased it. Within 2 days of after I purchased the Jeep it had a severe death wobble. Since I don't live in the boise area I took the Jeep to a local mechanic where I live and found out the upper and lower front ball joints needed to be replaced. I was sold a warranty that should have covered the cost of repairs. Need less to say it did not. I contacted Boise Auto Clearance when I first noticed the problem. I feel because I am a female I was not taken serious about this problem. After not getting any answer back from them as to what they could do to help me I took care of the problem. I had notified not only Boise Auto Clearance but also the Warranty company. After a month and half and two more phone calls I finally heard back from them. The person I talked to asked that I send him my emails that I had sent to a different person in the office. I did this and it has been another 3 weeks and no one has contacted me since. I would not remonned this company to anyone. They only care about selling you a vehicle and nothing more. Had I done a little more research on this company I would not have given them the time of day!!!! read more

i had previously left a bad review for these guys, but long story short, they did their best to resolve the issues. Brad and Chris are easy to work with. i recommend taking any low dollar car to have it checked by an actual mechanic before buying. part of my issue was i took a couple cars to a place i won't mention here, only to get the same diagnosis of low compression each time. i had the 2nd car checked again somewhere else only to find out the compression was fine. i was able to watch the 2nd guy do the test and saw the results myself. read more

My husband had been looking for the perfect work truck for quite some time and in my opinion, he is an automobile guru, so being picky about it is far from a bad thing. With the last vehicle purchase experience being not so satisfactory, we were a bit leery about buying from a dealership. We had come across a good deal on the perfect flatbed power-stroke a couple months ago at another "dealership" in Meridian, which is 5 hours away from our home, and decided to make the trek to check it out. It was a smokin' deal, and the truck seemed to be in good condition. On the outside. Once we took her for a spin, my husband opened her up on the highway to see what she had which was nothing. It seemed the turbo had gone completely out, and was obvious she was tired with not much oomph left in her. They sure did make her pretty with all that spray paint though! So after driving back we went inside to talk to the salesman whom I'm assuming was also the manager, and when my husband told him about her issue, we knew that he knew. When driving home the long 5 hours back, we both said we would NEVER go back to the Boise/Meridian area to look at another vehicle. We were put off by the salesman/manager seeming sneaky about the condition of the truck. After a month or two had passed, my husband found another flatbed close to the same year, with less miles and a better price. It seemed too good to be true, and I was afraid of someone letting him down again, but he was stuck on her. So we made the 5 hour excursion down to Boise Auto Clearance. When we arrived my husband immediately sought-out the truck he had seen on their website, and there she was in all her glory. We were promptly met by a sales representative and knew exactly who we were, after had speaking with my husband on the phone. He asked for my husbands drivers license information for the test drive, which I was pleased with since the previous dealership we had been to didn't blink an eye and basically threw the keys at us, and off we went. I could see my husbands excitement the moment he started up the truck, and knew he had already decided. She was a bit dirty and dusty on the inside, but it's a truck, that's how they're supposed to be! After driving the vehicle for about 30 minutes we returned to the dealership to good a real good look at her. I had brought along a car seat to see how it would fit in the back since it wasn't a full size cab. [We're expecting our first in January!] After wrastling with it embarrassingly not knowing what I was doing, the previous gentleman that had helped us when we arrived, and another to speculate, graciously helped us fumble around with it since it was our first car seat experience. Thankfully, it fit like a glove! My husband took a look under the hood and everything looked, smelled, and sounded great. He's a stickler for checking every little nook and cranny, and was great that the gentleman were there to help answer every little question he had. I was also thankful the gentlemen had knowledge about powerstrokes and one of them owned a newer one himself. After poking and prodding and talking about the truck for quite sometime, they let us be to talk amongst ourselves for the final decision. I have full confidence in my husband when it comes to the quality of automobiles, and once he said the word we headed into the office to relay our decision. I can't say enough how smooth and quick the paperwork process was, and everyone was so welcoming, patient, and helpful. To this day my husband still talks about what a great experience buying from Boise Auto Clearance was, and we are eternally grateful for all their help, kindness, and honesty. It's very rare these days to find honest car dealerships and salesmen that don't try to finagle you into buying something that in my opinion, is a big commitment. After the long drive home, we realized the next day we had left the dealership without returning the dealer plate, I felt horrible! Everyone had been so great and helpful and we were so dizzy with excitement we didn't even realize it was still on the back bumper. After a much needed reminder phone call, we immediately sent it back. About a week later, we unexpectedly received something in the mail from them with a very nice letter thanking us for returning the plate, and a small token of their appreciation for the great customer experience. I am surprised and grateful for their thoughtfulness, and will never look elsewhere for a vehicle again! We look forward to doing business with them [most likely in the near future] and any 5 hour drive to purchase a vehicle from Boise Auto Clearance will be well worth it knowing we will be taken care of promptly and respectfully.
