On more than one occasion, our family has received care that we truly believe was life-saving, and we are incredibly grateful. I am allergic to several medications, and have numerous adverse reactions. Yet, he decided to prescribe me a new drug, Levaquin. Even though, he knew that the only medication I did not have a reaction to was a Zpack. Levaquin is now known for horrific adverse reactions, and is involved in several class actions. I had a horrific, terrifying reaction to Levaquin. I was transported to the ER. I stopped seeing Brooks regularly and began seeing other doctors. Years later (2021) I went to obtain my records to show a new primary my adverse reaction to this medication. To my surprise, there was no documentation of the adverse reaction, or that I was prescribed this medication at all. I went to see Brooks after the ER visit, that was not in there either. I specifically requested these documents for this adverse reaction. There was another incident in 2018, too. In my desperation for help, I reached out to Brooks (after not seeing him for a very long time). I was getting ready to take the bar (I am a lawyer) and I started having horrific panic attacks. I couldn't step outside my apartment without having a panic attack. I went to Brooks in tears asking if he could help me, and I even asked for a prescription for Xanax to help with the panic attacks. Instead he said he would prescribe me Prozac. He prescribed me either 60mg or 90mg of Prozac (I can't remember which one). When I went to the pharmacy to fill the prescription, the pharmacist asked me how long I was on the medication. I told her this was my first time filling - she told me that my doctor shouldn't have prescribed me this, that he should have started me off at 5mg. She said she'd still fill it. I was desperate and I stupidly trusted the prescription. At that point in time, it was a miracle I was even able to get to a pharmacy without a panic attack. I took the medicine and went off of it within three weeks. It was excruciating. While I think everyone's medical treatment is private, I hope this helps someone and I'm sorry I didn't post sooner. After spending time with my family during the holidays and realizing several were still seeing this doctor/going here, but never heard what I went through, I thought it best to share so people could make informed decisions.

What a hassle! However, the TRE reception staff were amazingly helpful. Mary Ann Stephens was especially helpful. After several phone call attempts that ended in failure, Mary Ann offered to walk down to the other office and speak with them personally. Wow! That kind of customer service doesn't happen much any more. My appointment was "old school". We chatted and got acquainted before I undressed for the comprehensive physical. I had a list of questions that I had been saving for my annual appointment. Dr. Kim answered the ones that applied to her expertise and at no point did I feel rushed. Dr. Kim was knowledgeable and patient, pointing out a couple of lifestyle changes I should make, along with discussing her specialty area. I have no idea why I had not heard about Dr. Kim and her staff prior to this, but this is truly a wonderful medical office.

If you are pregnant and looking for an OB Tre is a great place to start. The entire staff is super friendly and nice. I love the nurses. They're all so friendly and caring. I've had sinus problems most of my life. I've been to three different ENTs over the last twenty…read moreyears, and they all did the same thing: stuck an endoscope up my nose, looked around for 30 seconds, then shrugged and told me to keep using Flonase. On my very first visit to Girgis, Dr. Sam spent more than an hour with me. He ordered a CT scan and a full blood panel (turns out I had a deviated septum and low antibody levels for several strains of pneumococcal bacteria, which no doctor had ever told me, or even tested for). Eventually, when we had the results, he patiently went over everything in detail, and recommended surgery. The surgery itself was very smooth and the recovery was straightforward. Two months later, it has been LIFE-CHANGING. I am breathing better and sleeping better. Before the surgery, I generally needed an antihistamine, a decongestant, and a nasal spray every day. I have not taken any of them--not even once--since the surgery. During the entire process, the whole staff--Dr. Sam, the nurses, the receptionists, and the billing department--were kind, patient, and always available to answer questions. Do not waste time going somewhere else. This is the best ENT you will find in the area.

As part of the annual physical, I had blood drawn for lab testing and was told to call back in 4-5 business days. OK so its an old school practice with no secure electronic records access so figured ok, I can do that. It has been 3 weeks now. I have been calling every day sometimes getting the German receptionist, sometimes leaving a VM, and have gotten zero response...no call backs...and when I speak to the receptionist, she doesn't take a message, but rather suggests I call back when it is more convenient for Herr Doctor. Its been frustrating beyond belief. I am going to have to go back to my prior practice and redo everything because I know they can communicate and trust their expertise. Bottom line: If you are under 80 and require any sort of convenience in discussing the results of your appointment/tests in any channel other than back in person, I wouldn't bother going to Dr Meineke. While he seems knowledgeable (I don't know because I didn't have any follow-up to consider), he also seems to be just going through the motions and not making the patient experience anything different stepping on gum. I am leaving this review in hopes that other young women are better informed and protected than I…read morewas. At 18 years old, I had an IUD placed at this clinic. I was supposed to receive a Kyleena, but was instead given a Mirena, which is typically recommended for women who have previously given birth. The insertion and post-procedure period were extremely painful, resulting in several days of debilitating pain and months of chronic discomfort afterward. Following placement, I developed a bacterial infection and was told it was likely due to my partner cheating, rather than being informed of the known risks associated with IUDs. Over the next several years, I experienced recurrent yeast infections and ongoing symptoms. When I contacted the office for help, I was repeatedly told I could not be seen for 7-10 days and that I should not treat the symptoms myself, an unrealistic expectation given the severity and frequency of the infections. I eventually expressed my desire to have the IUD removed after researching and strongly suspecting it was the root cause of my symptoms. I was told this was "not a good enough reason" to discontinue birth control or remove the device, and I felt dismissed and pressured to keep it despite ongoing harm. I kept the IUD for another year before finally having it removed against medical advice. Since removal, I have been symptom-free for the first time since the device was placed. This clinic failed to listen to me, failed to provide informed, patient-centered care, and failed to respect my autonomy. I strongly urge patients, especially young women, to advocate for themselves and seek second opinions if something feels wrong.
