Specialties
I named my practice Integrating Touch because our physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional selves are intrinsically linked. One will always have an effect on the others. I am particularly interested in the way psychological and emotional experiences manifest physically in our bodies, as well as addressing residual traumatic energy trapped in the nervous system that ultimately can inhibit and lessen the enjoyment of our everyday lives. This energy and its subsequent somatic manifestations can contribute to chronic tension, misalignment, as well as a whole host of other complaints that can create a lack of ease, or dis-ease, in the body, and, overtime, degrade our physical selves more quickly.
We are not able to accept insurance at this time as reflexology is currently not covered by most insurance plans, however, the cost of reflexology is eligible for reimbursement with a flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA) or a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA).
History
Established in 2022.
Over the pandemic, I saw how much people were suffering with mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical stresses, and decided I wanted to help by joining the Healing Arts Community and becoming a Wellness Practitioner. I am currently WA State certified and fully licensed to practice Reflexology in the state of Washington. I passed all of my National Certification Exams last year and am currently working towards my full National Certification.
Integrating Touch opened in the Pinehurst neighborhood of North Seattle in October of 2022, and in January of 2023 relocated to its current location in Bitter Lake. We are hoping to expand the practice to include 1-2 days a week in the Rainier Beach area sometime later this year.
Meet the Business Owner: Shanna A.
My passion for health and wellness began as a direct result of a cancer diagnosis in 2000 when I was a teenager, and eventually let me to become a reflexologist to help other to feel whole, healthy, and at ease in their bodies. What I love most about my practice is holding sacred space for my clients to relax, recharge, and restore their minds, hearts, spirits, and physical selves. We all need that, and we all deserve it.
