I called to make an appointment for fluid exchanges as my car is nearing 90,000 miles. Before they scheduled the fluid exchanges I requested, they offered to do research to look into my specific make, model, and year to ensure that the items I was asking for would be due and pertinent. They called back within 10 minutes, gave me the research the found, and suggested a transmission exchange service and brake fluid exchange. I dropped my car the morning of my appointment and they were done before 2:00. This is the first car shop I've been to that doesn't smell of oil and tires. And the men behind the counter were dressed nicely in button down shirts with ties. They explained what the services would entail and what they should help with. And boy did my car sound and drive better than she has in a while! I recently went online to schedule an oil change and it was the easiest scheduling platform I've used. Fortunately, I got a referral to an auto repair shop from the place I was staying. The referrer said, he had been bringing his family's cars there for 20 years and the people are honest and I'd be in good hands. Next day AAA brought me to Welge Automotive. It was like going back decades to a better and nicer time. Robert, Jared, Diana, Charlene, and the other people have created a wonderful auto repair shop. As busy as they were they made room for my needs. While I was there I saw they would help anyone who came in. They helped them all; as busy as they were, they helped everyone. It's amazing how they still hold onto the business style of helping another person. Here I was not treated as a customer number or a worksheet order, I was treated as a person in need of help and that they were going to make sure I got the help I needed. The car needed help, our only car. The shop looked at things and gave honest an accurate diagnosis. Their estimates were spot on and the parts delivered quickly. They have a wonderful network of suppliers. They even know of wholesaler and help pass on the savings. Thank you very much!! They even repaired a part for far less than the whole part would have cost. When did you ever go to an auto shop that actually repaired a part and saved you money? It was wonderful. They noticed how filthy the inside engine compartment was and possibly masking other problems. They cleaned the engine for me. They saw it was built up over time and not to worry; just keep an eye on the valve cover area and gasket. No need to immediately have it replaced. They are very good people running an honest and skilled auto shop that take pride in their work and doing an honest days work to help people. I live four hours away, but I will do what other people have done after finding such a wonderful shop. I will schedule a few days vacation during the week, come up, and drop off the car at Welge Auto for an inspection and any needed work. At the end of the vacation I will pick up the car knowing it's all maintained and done so honestly. Thank you everyone for helping us, I don't know what we would have done without you.

What a letdown!! Came here after issues at another repair shop and thought I'd found a good one…read more Sadly, it wasn't to be. After trusting Welge's with our family vehicles (total of 4), paying them a substantial amount in repair costs, and even referring others here, I stopped bringing our vehicles because I am convinced that Welge caused my daughter's vehicle to seize. Prior to bringing my daughter's jeep here, two separate repair shops told me that it needed a new radiator, but I trusted Welge so I had them take a look. Welge told me that it didn't need a new radiator but it did need something else so I had Welge fix it. When I came to pick up the vehicle, Welge himself told me that in addition to fixing it, he also took the vehicle to wash the engine. What for, I don't know, it's not like the engine was particularly dirty and I hadn't asked him to! Within a month, the engine in my daughter's car seized. I brought it back to Welge. Welge himself called me to confirm that the engine had seized and it would cost about $6000 for a new engine. I was flabbergasted and told him I didn't have that kind of money. Welge suggested that I ask my church to help. WHAT kind of messed up advice is that?? His suggestion left me baffled. Needless to say, I never returned and ended up getting rid of the vehicle. No thanks to Welge!
